He is not really whining though. In his post-quali interviews he wasn't whinging at all, but he probably is just posting that to show the extent of the speed differences between the two wings..

Maybe, but you don't go posting your team-mate's telemetry like that. At least, not without asking them first. For all we know, Jenson Button would prefer if that information was kept out of the public arena.

Well, maybe if you needed a win to keep your championships alive and you see you have the fastest car but went with the wrong choice of wing so now you are very slow, you'd be a bit annoyed.

Why cant he just shut up and take it like a man?

Just because Hamilton's angry at himself (for not opting to use the successful update), it doesn't mean that he has to post all the data on twitter to justify his lack of pace.

It makes him look like a sore loser, he should just get over his mistake and focus on driving better... Because he clearly has the talent. (Even though I have to admit that I'm not a huge fan of Hamilton)

Vettel 10th and Webber 12th, way to go Red Bull. Lol.

Looks like the Red Bulls have been badly hurt by the technical infringements their car has faced... Even their drivers admitted that their car wasn't fast enough

It's possible that something else is going on here - a lot of people expected that his contract would be finalised over the summer break, but it hasn't been (and neither has Schumacher's, which people were also expecting). Now he's describing his contract renewal as a "business decision" despite his emotional attachment to the team, and The Sun has quoted him as saying "there are lots of sticking points. You never just sign the first contract that’s given to you because most of the time it’s ****" and "Nothing’s signed, nothing’s decided. But there are discussions and my people are in action. There are still many factors to be taken into account. I don’t see myself anywhere at the moment. I really don’t because it is difficult to picture what is going to happen in the future". Now, maybe The Sun is a rag and has a tendency to make things up, but I've never known even the seediest of tabloids to make up quotes and attribute them to somebody who never said them - that's a sure-fire way to a libel lawsuit.

Maybe not all is as well at McLaren as we've been led to believe ...

Problem with that is, where can Lewis go? I really want to believe he's going to Ferrari because that would be beautiful. But surely he's staying at McLaren?

Kimi's reaction if the same happened to him.

Given that he only seems to react like this when Button beats him, why would he swap that for bitching when Alonso beats him?

EHEM.

I believe it was Alonso doing the moaning last time they were together.

Ferrari won't work.

Yeah definitely, but think of the fireworks on and off track. That kind of hilarity can't be avoided forever. I don't think it will happen like 2007 again as both have matured but certainly its not going to be quiet!

Come on, you can't tell me you don't think that line-up wouldn't be interesting to watch.

It's the only move that makes sense right now - unless he wants to take a gamble on something. Now is the time I bring out my Lewis-to-Williams case, but Sauber have been making definite progress as well. Helmut Marko called the C31 the best car on the grid, and I for one would be very keen to see what Hamilton or Alonso or Schumacher could do with it. If they could keep up the development (and that's a risk every team takes; new rules mean a new car), they would have to be on Hamilton's radar. 2013 isn't expected to see a lot of rule changes because of the massive leap forward for 2014, so Sauber should be in a good position to begin with. And Pirelli aren't planning major changes for next year, either.

Of course, I think Hamilton moving to Sauber is even less likely than his moving to Williams. But stranger things have happened.

I said before that Peter Sauber is a pretty shrewd man and happily drops drivers he doesn't think much of. But I have to admit that dropping Perez or Kobayashi for Hamilton has to be some kind of magic.

You know what? A swap with McLaren, Perez for Hamilton might make some kind of sense? The only problem is that surely Hamilton is looking for high wages still and Sauber don't really have that without Perez' sponsorship and most of it is being spent on the car.

A bad start for Schumi already as his KERS battery pack has failed with only 20 minutes till the pit lane opens

Martin Whitmarsh
The Tweets yesterday? We didn't ask him to remove those. I think he thought better of it and removed them himself. The telemetry this morning? Yes, we did ask him to remove that.

Silly boy.

It seems like I’m asking this at every race: how much longer will it be before Williams reaslies Senna is a liability? Once again, he has put in another dismal performance – his fastest lap was still a second slower that Maldonado. As Maldonado proved, the car has the pace to make it into Q3, but Senna blew both his Q2 laps and missed the cut-off by over a second. He should have been dropped months ago; Williams could have put Bottas in the seat for some of the European races to see how he fared on circuits that he knew, and then brought Senna back for the final Asian leg if Bottas didn’t work out.

Senna is only a few points behind Maldonado.

If it's a straight swap, they're not really being dropped, are they.

And if Ferrari have their eye on Perez, that will naturally create an opening for Hamilton.

Hamilton moving to Sauber would likely have sponsors lining up at the door.

And if he values a competitive car more than a bit, fat pay packet, it makes sense.

He spun and damaged his car in Q2. That's why he couldn't get himself into Q3. Bottas more than likely wouldn't do any better, really. Don't be fooled by his P1 pace. Practice sessions mean absolutely nothing. Especially when Bottas can just go out, burn up a set of softs posting an impressive lap time.

It looks like the telemetry tweet is deleted.
According to Andrew Benson, McLaren is not happy.

He spun and damaged his car in Q2. That's why he couldn't get himself into Q3.
Someone please tell me that Peter. did not just say that.

I know Senna spun. That's bad enough. The fact that he damaged it is even worse. All you're doing is proving my point that Senna is a liability at Williams.

I'm not thinking of Bottas' pace.

What I'm thinking of is the way Williams clearly hold him in high regard. They see him as the natural successor to Nico Hulkenberg, and by way of Pastor Maldonado and the PDVSA deal, they have enough money to keep him around.

If I were calling the shots at Williams, I'd put my money where my mouth is and stick Bottas in the car for a few races on circuits he knows and get a feel for how good he really is. If he lives up to his promise, that's great. If not, Senna can go back in the car and continue to be mediocre.

Talk about coincidence if that happen.
Remember Kimi and Massa time at Sauber back then?
Massa who's under Ferrari at that time and guess who goes to Mclaren the next season. :sly:

Translation: mistakes were made, but for the sake of team harmony - and to prevent us from looking vulnerable - we'll spread the blame around.

Imagine if they kept Rubens...

His raw pace is probably not as good as Maldonado these days, but he would at least deliver results.

Been chasing a pigs bladder around a field, so I've missed the panic over Schumi's car. Whats happened?
