Ben, Coulthard and Gary just seem a little bit slow for my liking. Sometimes I'll spot something which seems quite obvious and they won't see it until a lap or 2 later or they will say something which completely contradicts what they have said only moments earlier. Martin Brundle just paces his commentary nicely, he comes out with the occasional witty comment and he only shouts when he has to which is more effective, the BBC should have at least kept hold of Crofty or Ted.

Agree. But to be fair, sometimes they will spot things I don't, so it goes both ways, I guess.

I like Gary for his technical insight, but I also miss Ted.

One thing I dislike with Gary is that he sometimes states something as a fact when it's not. A recent example is the DDRS on the Red Bull. Gary says that it's stalling the beam wing and the diffuser, but in reality, that's just speculation so far.

From what I have seen with Crofty at Sky, no thanks. He's fantastic to listen to in a free practice session, but not so much during a race. Same issue as Ben Edwards.

It was posted a day or two ago. It would have been in Korea. Probably at a nice hotel near the circuit.

Wow, it's so dead in the pit lane... BBC is basically alone there.

EDIT: Also dead here. I shouldn't be surprised.

EDIT2: Wow! BBC realized that Force India have another driver that isn't Paul di Resta.

EDIT3: Oh, Eddie Jordan... He admitted that what he said about Hamilton was complete rubbish on him moving to Mercedes...

EDIT4: Hamilton almost out in Q1...I know, I know, conspiracy theory, but it's starting to feel more and more like McLaren doesn't care about Hamilton anymore.

What is it with someone ruining the end of a Q session these last two weeks? First Raikkonen, now Ricciardo. Really don't like it when that happens: some drivers are more far more inconvenienced than others, with the effect magnified when the field is so close.

Button saved himself in a way. Now he won't ruin his last set of super soft tires in Q3. With the way the Mclaren is locking up under hard braking, it was almost bound to happen.

Oh, it's going to be awkward on the pit wall tomorrow for Red Bull... I guess they will have to botch Webber's start once again, so they don't have to use team orders for Vettel.

It's great to see Webber back on form, though. It have been a couple of hard months since the British Grand Prix. Hopefully all his work won't be undone by a botched start or a "nutcase".

Damn only just caught the last minuites of q3.

Got 2 alarms. 1 for 7 for my weekdays and 1 for 6 for here and Suzuka. I set 7am one.

Oh well, well done Webber.

Red Bulls look really strong, but I dunno who's looking good for 3rd. A few drivers could get it.

Yay, nice to see Webber on pole. I hope they don't give team orders early to let Vettel by, he is already at enough of a disadvantage.

It was very close at the top, Hamilton lost 4 tenths to Vettel and 2 to Webber in the last sector which suggests things didn't quite go to plan because Lewis is very strong in that sector. If Hamilton gets a better start than Vettel then I think he will win, his race pace has looked very good in recent races considering his numerous problems. I think he set his fastest practice 1 lap on his 23rd lap and the track should have rubbered in since (I may have misunderstood the BBC commentators).
