Let's talk next year, after he gets creamed by Lorenzo (whom I hate), but I realized this year Rossi is just a hypecrite... Before that I used to be a fan of his.
And if he is so happy with the Duc why is he going back to Yam with 🤬 contract conditions and a 99% chance to get humiliated by Jorge?

Do you think Vale would go back to Yamaha if he thought Jorge would cream him?

Frankly I don't know what the hell he is thinking... I mean he won't get creamed... But beaten most definitly...
Like I said... I used to like the guy... But this move back to Yamaha made me lose faith in him... He doesn't even know what he is doing anymore... I would have stuck with Ducati... I am sure they will get better... in time.

Yeah because he wants a moto that will let him win some race and one that he can trust. He has lots of trouble with the Ducati because he can't feel the front wheel very good. I dont think he lost all hope of wining the championship but I'm pretty sure he recon Jorge have an advantage on him. Even if he'll never admit it.

As for VvGTvV, I think he left Ducati because they was lot of fighting between his team and the Ducati main guys and Ducati didnt trust him anymore. I think it was a good move however it's kinda sad he didnt made Ducati win a championship.

I don't think you understood what I implying. Yes I know what his problems are at Ducati etc. I was simply trying to say that Vale wouldn't go back to Yamaha if he thought he couldn't beat Jorge. He could of stayed and just blame the bike.

Could have...

Valentino wants a bike he can win on. He's certainly capable of doing so. Why would he stay in a non competitive team? Given the choice, I do the same thing. Even if Jorge and Marc are too fast for him to mount a serious championship challenge, at least he can fight it out at the front. I think he'll do a lot better than some of you guys are saying and this is coming from a Jorge and Marc fan.

I agree mid-packing is no fun, plus the fact the mid-pack is also where all the crashing happens from desperation, and he's getting too old to be getting knocked down in the future.

At the end of the day he's had 2 2nd place finishes this year when there are 8 bikes on the grid that he would go faster on and lets not forget his team mate is also a world champion. I think the 2013 championship will probably end up with Lorenzo 1st, Rossi 2nd and 3rd will be determined by whoever has the least crashes/injuries out of Marc and Dani.

I second that prediction... 👍

I would like to say that I think it is bloody disgraceful that almost nothing was said about Shoya Tomizawa at Misano. I know Simoncelli was an Italian and that it would have been his home race but just because he passed whilst he was in the Top tier of racing whilst Tomizawa wasn't doesn't mean he shouldn't have been paid tribute too.

I know. It's disgraceful. Shoya's family did visit the track to pay their respects. It was a private family thing though. Motogp's just as bad. I noticed a tribute to Marco on their last season DVD, but no such thing for Shoya. Only a brief mention. I've never been able to get the images of that crash out of my head. Like ratzenberger, shoya is getting overlooked. I'll never forget him.

I have to agree. Steve Parish wrote an article earlier in the week about Shoya, but that was that basically it.

The riders did the bicycle ride around the track to honour Sic, but to leave out Tomi was thoughtless and pretty insensitive. I am not even sure why they chose to honour Sic at Misano and not Sepang. I know it was his home track, but it would have been more fitting to do it at Sepang in my humble opinion.

It would have been nice to have some kind of tribute to him.

I was thinking exactly the same thing, no disrespect to Marco but it's a bit of an insult to Shoya and his family. They should have renamed the Mugello circuit in memory of Marco if they wanted to pay a tribute to him in Italy.

I was only 1 when Ratzenberger died, I only know he existed because he died on the same weekend that Senna died which is quite sad.

The Misano circuit is closer to his home town though, and is technically in Italy I think, its just called the San Marino GP.

I agree that something should have been done for Shoya but I believe it should be the same as what it was for Marco. If they have a tribute to him at Motegi then more Japanese fans can go which is better in my opinion.

Nothing new then, I'd like to see them racing around Suzuka or Monza. Estoril is a decent track but Jorge is very good there so I wouldn't mind if they stopped going there. :)

Yes. I believe it was concerns with the 130R.

Suzuka was barred due to Kato's death in 2003 which was the year after 130R was modified. But he crashed just during 130R and slammed into the wall by the chicane and Suzuka was taken off for safety concerns.

:grumpy:

There's also talk of moving it to Portimão. Which may just be a fine track but Estoril has character and history. It's a bit like WRC. The new stages down there are BS compared to the classic ones.

Also Estoril is "closer". In Lisbon, middle of the country instead of buried down south.

For me it's Estoril or nothing. And it sucks that they don't kill one of the 4 races in Spain instead, since the excuse was "too many races in the Peninsula".

When I think of MotoGP and Suzuka, I'm reminded of that tragedy in 2003(?) when Daijiro Katoh was killed. There's nothing wrong with Suzuka as a circuit. It is still excellent for motorcycle racing, especially when it's the weekend of the 8 Hours of Suzuka motorcycle endurance.

I think it had to be done. They still race at Sepang and Misano because the incidents there were freak accidents where the riders were hit by oncoming bikes, whereas Kato hit a fence at great speed.

In response to the calendar, we would all love to get rid of a Spanish race or two but its all down to money. The Spanish tracks offer big bucks and fill the place year after year; no other country is guaranteed to do that.
