Gresini over Ducati any day of the week for results, but not payroll. Which is more important to rider?

David Salom will replace Ivan Silva at Avintia Blusens from Misano onwards.

Link.

Ducati already have 2 riders for next year, Hayden and dovi

He was referring to Pramac Ducati, the satellite team. Though they and Cardion AB won't be running the GP13 next year if Ducati Corse get the B-Team going.

Ok. Well If they do get the b-team going, I think pramac might switch to ART CRT bikes, and I doubt cardion AB will be running at all next year...

Before I head to Perth I will be flying out to Malaysia for a week and will be heading to Sepang to watch the race. Anyone also going, let me know and we can hook up.

I'd say it's more to do with how good Ducati is at destroying careers.

I don't see anything that wrong with him though.

Do you have something against him?

Sorry I meant doesn't :D He's a great young rider and some of his performances in Moto2 have made him look like a potential world champion so I hope the Ducati is a better bike next year.

Iannone is very irregular. He can do some pretty good lap but also fail miserably during qualification. In motoGP it's much harder to go back to the front position if you can't do a quick qualification lap, I'm not sure if he's ready for it yet.

I'd rather see someone who clearly has the potential to be one of the best in the MotoGP class than someone who looks consistently good (Bautista for example) but will probably never be close to the aliens.

Wow, didn't see this coming. The 2013 grid is actually looking pretty good now. They just need to get rid of the CRT bikes.

I doubt Iannone as the raw speed to be in front with the top of the class. He's probably on the level of Bautista/Barbera. In the recent test he did in Mugello he was faster than Rossi ok but slower than the best ducati time in qualification this year. So yeah I dont know.

I dont mind him going I just doubt he can deliver, if he does, it's all good, we need closer race in MotoGP.

You lucky dogg! 👍

Yes buddy thanks, and to make it even better the ticket was free with the flight. Last time I went to MotoGP was Mugello in 2010, really excited about going again. It will actually be quite sad I suspect, as Simoncelli lost his Life at Sepang, so I will have a good chance to pay my respects once again.

WTF!!!, both my favorite riders are going to Pramec. Hell no what happen to Gresini 2nd seat? Let me guess another bump rider for the billionth time in a row! 👎

It probably depends on Gresini's budget. Right now, they're running one MotoGP bike and one CRT bike. If they can find the budget to run two MotoGP bikes, then they probably will; if not, they could either drop the MotoGP bike and compete under CRT, or scale back to a single bike.

They cannot run two Prototypes due to the rules that were introduced this year I believe, which state that a Manufacturer such as Honda can run two Factory Bikes and two Satellite machines which Honda already have; Gresini and LCR.

The only good thing to spies riding this bike is to get use to a Ducati power-band and torque bite, and used that for another ride somewhere else if he gets contracted like what happen to Casey Stoner, and hopefully what will happen to Rossi. Matter of fact I hope Rossi rides the wheels off that Yamaha since that bike is the complete opposite of all the characteristics of the Ducati chassis and motor package'

I don't know ... Spies has been a little disappointing. since he got to MotoGP. He's only had one pole, one race win and a handful of podiums. Based on his performances, a ride with a satellite team was probably the best he could hope for. If Ducati get on top of their problems, and if Spies consistently out-performis Ianonne, then he might have a shot at a works ride if an opening becomes available.

Ducati just turned into a high tense situation with Spies and Iannone on satellites, and barely holding on Nicky Hayden, and the obvious talent Dovi looking to head up the team next year, I mean check this out your 2 most likely good riders who are Italian are lined up for the all Italian Factory Ducati ride in 2014, and the dumped Americans riding the sorriest rides on the grid right before the CRT's. I'm a little afraid for my fellow Americans future in MotoGp, and Colin is all ready out next year!

I would rather Ben just get slightly out performed my Iannone so he can take factory position and Ducati can finally have there all Italian based team, and at-least have one American get transferred over to a more righteous satellite team. But Sadly it sounds like at-least 1 American is definitely going to get screwed on his future. I hope Kawaski & Suzuki finally come back to play, it creates more opportunities for all the riders!

I personally think that Rossi is done, he is going to get served by Lorenzo next year... (just to be clear, I am not Spanish, can't stand Lorenzo and WAS a Rossi fan). I remember this year's Italian GP Vale's helmet said "let's stick together"... After he said he was going back to Yamaha next year with 🤬 pay, 🤬 terms and Lorenzo sure to humiliate him... I thought he should have stuck to his word... I mean at Ducati he at least had an excuse... Now he won't... Plus let's not forget the pay.

Dovi is good but not great... He is a rider that is got at following riders, but once he leads a group he makes everyone lose pace.

Yup, the future of Americans in MotoGP looks bad, it's too bad, I really expected more from Ben, and I feel bad for Nicky... Ducati almost dropped him... But I love his positive attitude... He never talks about the bad side of things, he always tries to cheer the team/people up... He is not a hot head like Jorge, a egoist like Vale or a big mouth like Casey.
I really hope Marquez can challenge Lorenzo next year... Or else I predict Jorge will beat Vale's records hands down... More titles for sure, because the only person that can challenge him is retiring...

What do you think? I like having people's opinions :D

I'm a big Rossi fan but I do expect Lorenzo to beat him next year, I still think a top 4 in the championship is pretty much guaranteed and I wouldn't be surprised if he is world champion next year. I actually think Lorenzo would be worse on the Ducati than Rossi because of his style and lets not forget that out of the 3 seasons they spent together there was only one season where both of them where pretty much injury free and that was 2009.

Pretty good Moto3 race with a very busy last 4 laps. Fenatti looks awesome, I cannot believe he is only 16!

He won round 2 at Jerez by over 30 seconds  Vinales was similarly impressive last year so it's a surprise that he hasn't scored more points this year.

Words can't describe the scare I had when there was a red flag.

But at least it was just oil on track.

Moto3 was great. I love watching the races at Misano. Don't know what Rins was thinking though...

Shame about the Moto2 race but hopefully it will be just as interesting at the restart.

I know. I always jump a bit when I see a red flag. The race is reduced to 14 laps.
