Moto3 was great. I love watching the races at Misano. Don't know what Rins was thinking though...

Shame about the Moto2 race but hopefully it will be just as interesting at the restart.

Err, do you expect him to just settle for 4th when he had a passing opportunity at the last corner? It's not the duty of anyone to leave the championship contenders alone, they're all racing for position back there.

Nope, but don't overtake the guy then look behind like 'oh, sorry' then run onto the grass instantly conceding 3rd place again. All he accomplished was demoting his team mate to 5th. :s (I'm assuming Vinales is Rins' team mate)

Nope, Rins is Oliveira's teammate, Vinales doesn't have one IIRC.

Gotcha. They have very similar paint jobs but it's like that in bike racing. Still a half-assed attempt of an overtake if you ask me.

And moto2's back on...

Disappointing from Pol, again. He just lacks the 'stick-it-up-the-inside-on-the-last-corner' mentality that is required for a title contender.

If you missed the race this evening/afternoon, don't bother watching.
Just read the results or watch the 30sec hightlights.
Lorenzo won the 2012 championship

That's it until next year. Not that I'll bother watching without CS.

Regarding the spoiler, 125 points are still up for grabs, even Dovi could win it if the riders above had injuries.

Well, looking at this motoGp race, one could say that taking the official Hondas and Yamahas away Rossi is still capable of performing even on a Ducati...

Obviously not that simple, but good to see him fighting for it again.

Sad for Cal, and 'Asimo'. The little man grew a lot latelly, he can now not just be fast on his own, but also race for position. He was already 10th in 1/3 of a lap starting last on a race that looked like it was just not "meant to be". Hope they don't ban Hector for a race for taking out a 'championship contender' (f1 related sarcasm).

I'll have a look at the 'lesser' categories later, sounds like they were worth it. But first, hotdogs and NASCAR :)

The smaller MotoGP categories are often more entertaining, the Moto3 and Moto2 races were brilliant. The sooner Marquez is powersliding a 1000cc Honda into a corner the better. :) His race craft and control when he is on the verge of crashing in every corner is just staggering.

I personally think that Rossi is done

Oh really?

Great to see Vale back on the podium today.. Looks like that new frame and swing arm really made a difference.. Gutted for Dani.. If he didn't have bad luck he wouldn't have any at all..

He performed well but I don't think it's a true reflection of the Ducati pace, this is probably one of his strongest tracks and I think Lorenzo thought to himself "I'll get a 5 second gap and just maintain it". Jerry Burgess said that the private tests at Misano definitely gave them an advantage to with the limited dry time this weekend. They should be strong at Aragon though with that huge back straight, I hope so.

I love the Aragon track especially sector 2!
I haven't caught Moto 3 yet, but from your posts I will be looking forward to it on Tuesdays'

Aragon would be better if they got rid of the chicane along the back section. Or if they at least cut out turns 14 and 15, so that the bikes could go flat out down the back straight.

Marc Márquez is on a good moment now, he's "one with the bike" and as we've seen and know, a rider that has a decent bike but doesn't adapt to it will fail (so many examples from current or previous seasons). So I too hope he can adapt and deliver results quickly in MotoGP. Being a Honda, usually the "easiest" to ride, I'm confident he will! 👍

(on Rossi)

Yes, not to take anything away from Rossi, if Stoner and Pedrosa were there they would very likelly finish ahead of him, so he'd be 4th.

But he admitted he had a better feel and temperature/grip on the front and was able to push more confidently, and he hasn't finished 4th (considering what I stated above) let alone 2nd that often this year (only in the wet in France). So I guess there was a good improvement on the Ducati there.

Now this doesn't mean it will improve on this even more and be competitive these last races, but it just may. Which would bring Rossi and Hayden into the mix and make for more interesting final races. I hope so!

Let's talk next year, after he gets creamed by Lorenzo (whom I hate), but I realized this year Rossi is just a hypecrite... Before that I used to be a fan of his.
And if he is so happy with the Duc why is he going back to Yam with 🤬 contract conditions and a 99% chance to get humiliated by Jorge?
Long live Stoner and Marquez

I think you lot are discounting Pedrosa too early. While he does injure himself a lot he has had a great season this year, and I think a Spanish team mate would push him on further. I'm not tipping him for the title next year, but certainly a contender.

You can't rule him out but I just can't imagine him wanting to get involved with Jorge, Marc and Vale when they are knocking chunks out of each other at the front.

I'm not sure Vale still have the top speed to fight with Jorge, as for Marquez, let's wait and see how is doing in MotoGP, Elias was brillant in Moto2 but sucked ass in MotoGP. For me the 2 riders that are sure to fight for the world title next year are Jorge and Dani.

Apparently the Ducati has improved since yesterday.

Marquez has been dominant in the 125 class and in Moto2, I will be stunned if he isn't going for pole in the first race of the season like Jorge in his debut year. I don't think Rossi has lost as much speed as many people think because outside of MotoGP in other racing events he has looked good, Lorenzo will be the favourite for next year because he rarely fails to finish and he is usually on the podium even on a bad day.

Yea I know there is a lot of hype with Marc Marquez, but he still has to learn the 1000cc beast. I expect him to do well, but if he doesn't I wouldn't be suprised either. There's a big difference from full throttle 600cc to partial throttle 1000cc riding. He's is the ultimate block passer tho'

Only Rossi that I can think of can ride it on the edge like that and still ride a perfect defensive line, I expect Marc to have a few big crashes early on next year like he did in 2011 when he first rode the 600cc bike.

Exactly what I was thinking. He took a while to win his first race in the 125s, but then he won like crazy. Last year he took a while to learn how to stay on but then he dominated the second half of the season. That win yesterday was just fantastic, it took something between the legs to do that! (not the bike)

How many times this year has Marc scrubbed off Pol this year, especially the big 1 at Catalunya! Pol is probably going to end up with a better seat than his brother if he can re head up the Moto 2 field again, which shouldn't be a problem since all the front runners are leaving next year. Including even Redding possibly.

I was hoping that Pol would send a big block move up the inside of the last corner for just this reason; Marc has wood over him and until he repays the favour, Pol will be his bunny.

 I am going to laugth if Ducati gets better just as Rossi decided to leave them because they "wouldn't get better in a short period of time".
I have realized this year that behind his "nice guy" mask Rossi is actually a hypocrite, egoist and self obsessed guy...
Stoner whom I used to hate for his big mouth tried to tell us this... But nobody listens to him...

I agree we where all waiting for that move, but I think Pol knew Marc was going to D-line into the next apex if he dove, so he sought out for an outside move, but was left blocked there too. The one I don't understand was the hard launch he got right before the final turn, and when Marc cut across track he let himself get cut off instead of throttle checking his bike and looping right underneath him, and setting him up for a block pass on the final turn. 💡

I don't think Pol has the "character" for that.
