Speaking with The Truth About Cars, Mizuno said the updated model can lap the Nordschleife in 7 minutes and 18 seconds which is more than 8 seconds faster than its old 7:26:70 record time from 2009.
Mizuno went on to say the GT-R Nismo GT3 can lap the 'ring in less than seven minutes, but he wants to use a standard production model because that's what customers drive. He also saidcars like the Radical SR8LM don't deserve to be on the Nürburgring lap record list because "a car that needs its engine rebuilt after a few hours is no production car.
Oh, and the Radical Record isn't even the official record, because this car isn't street legal everywhere. The Gumpert Apollo is
