Bayern win 4-2 over 2 matches. A good result in the end, and United fought well. Rooney was really poor today though.

And that Evra goal! Neuer didn't stand a chance! :dopey:

Also Atletico Madrid win 2-1 over Barca over 2 matches. Interesting result.

Nothing really left to play for United now, big game against Everton at the weekend but that's it....

Hope we lose and Everton get 4th place over Arsenal.

Um no, we can do one thing productive and that's actually beat a team that's above us! Arsenal are the only team that we have beaten that were above us in the league, the Everton is the last big game of the season, then we can relax...

Our seasons over so results don't matter. All we can do is 1 thing productive and that's knock arsenal out of the champions league.

I now know who is the first one to tease if we qualify to the champions league :P

The results don't matter anymore though. The season is over. "We beat Everton" isn't really a massive talking point of a Manchester United season. We're not getting relegated and I sure as hell don't want Europa League football next year.

Why?

It doesn't matter if its not really a talking point! how can you support a team if you want them to lose?!

You sound just as bad as those idiots who wanted City to beat us because it would've stopped Liverpool winning the league...

I'd never support a rival like City/Liverpool over United but I've always had this soft spot for Everton. They always managed to stay up there when other teams were pumped full of money.
It fatigues players too much. Spurs would have had at least 6 or 7 more points had they not been in the Europa League.
This reason. Crazy amount of extra games. Next year we rebuild. If they really want Moyes to be the long term manager they have to let him do the team his way.

Ive got a soft spot for Villa but ive never supported them over United or Swansea...

....who do you support really United or Everton?....it cant be United..

I know what its like, Swansea had a great time in it this year because it was our first European campaign for over thirty years but it did effect us and our league form....but im not going to support someone else just so that there'll be a chance that we wont qualify...that's just wrong and you cant call yourself a supporter of a team if you want them to lose..

That's what im starting to think!

Anyway, another great player is going to miss the World Cup through injury, Gundagon has been ruled out and joins Walcott, Benteke, Falcao (probably) and Rodriguez on the list of great players who'll miss out..

Emotions are starting to get to me about this weekends game (Liverpool v City)... one minute extreme excitement, the next extreme nervousness!!

Trying to avoid thinking about it... unsuccessfully

Wanting a team to win a match isn't supporting them. Wanting them to lose any match isn't supporting them either*. You can't call yourself a fan (short for "fanatic") if you are against them!

If all the teams you say you support played each other in a round robin tournament, who would you want to win all of their games? That is the team you support. The others are just teams you have a soft spot for under certain circumstances.

It's like a marriage. Sure, oggle the honeys, but you always pick your wife without question. If you don't, see how long the marriage lasts when you tell your wife you love four other women...

*There are certain freak occasions where the team you support would be better off losing/drawing than winning. You still want them to win.

If it was the last game of the season, and there was nothing left for us to play for (ie; no ECL qualification risk), I'd rather see us lose if it stopped Man U winning the league.

I would like to see United qualify for next seasons Europa League though... I'd love to see them having to go to the 🤬 holes of deepest, darkest Eastern Europe on a Thursday night :D

Big weekend of football this weekend with the semi-finals of the FA Cup as well as the league.....all games kick off seven minutes later as mark of respect for the 25th Anniversary of the Hillsborough tragedy

Saturday
Crystal Palace v Aston Villa
Fulham v Norwich
Southampton v Cardiff
Stoke v Newcastle
Sunderland v Everton
West Brom v Tottenham

Wigan v Arsenal (FA Cup, ITV, 5.07)

Sunday
Liverpool v Man City (1.37 Sky)
Swansea v Chelsea (4.07 Sky)

Hull v Sheffield United (FA Cup, BT, 4.07)

None of the League games on Saturday are televised but all games are on Sunday, Man United have got weekend off, Arsenal play West Ham on Tuesday...

Interesting goings on at Cardiff today...

Same here Stotty.

Can't remember actually being this nervous in a long time to be honest. Even for the CL finals we contested, I wasn't this nervous as I am for this weekend. I think it's more of the expectation this time around, we possibly are the slight faves if we going on current form.

Watched Rodgers press conference earlier on LFCTV, and looks nice and calm as always. Good news aswell both Agger and Allen fully fit, I expect Agger to come in and replace Sakho, and Allen might play but then it depends what we go for in the middle of the park. ;)

I like big games when United aren't playing in them because I always get a bit nervous watching us play Liverpool, Chelsea etc....so im looking forward to this one

..also I think Wigan will cause on upset tomorrow, Arsenal look a bit demoralised and have injuries and Wigan are flying at the moment...

Just the thought of this game scares me. Aguero is back, Toure, Kompany, Im so nervous!

Big results at the bottom today, Fulham beat Norwich and Cardiff beat Southampton, West Brom drew after leading 3-0 against Tottenham and Sunderland lost and look doomed, Now a 3 point gap between bottom three and the rest...

Wigan are 1-0 up!! Gomez penalty!!

Mertesacker equalises with less than five minutes of normal time to play!
