Seeing Stevie in tears, and then seeing that huddle... That gave me goosebumps and a chill down my spine. I have to admit, i had a tear in my eye, it was a beautiful moment. If we win it this year, it would be the happiest day of my young life.

And everyone of them are going to be just as emotional as last Sunday :nervous::nervous::nervous::nervous::nervous:
To be honest, I somehow doubt it... Sunday was particularly poignant because it was the 25th anniversary of the Hillsborough disaster, and the game was at Anfield as well. The rest of the games will be just as important/tense, but I doubt that the following games will be quite as emotionally charged. That said, if Liverpool can beat Chelsea then I'd expect some massive celebrations, but I have to say that I think a draw is more probable, and that could let Man City back into the title race. This one will probably go down to the wire, and whoever wins the title will probably need an 'Aguero' moment like in 2012 where one player steps up when it matters the most. My money is on Suarez to deliver the necessary goal(s), but as his booking showed the other day (and his antics last season made pretty clear), he will need to keep his discipline in check, and Liverpool will need to rely on their other star players to stay focused.

Incidentally, Yaya Toure has been ruled out for the next EPL game and possibly longer... big blow for Man City...

Yeah, of course no Hillsborough... but the level of nerves I felt on Sunday were not linked to the 96, just to the tension and pressure of the game.

I won't shed a tear before the remaining games as I did on Sunday, but I will feel just as nervous.

Personally, I see Stevie G scoring a late penalty to win us the title :D

it will be Suarez who dives for earns the penalty :P

:lol::lol:

Suarez will no doubt get his customary hat trick against Norwich on Sunday. He likes Norwich - I think he's had 3 in our last 3 games against them!

I've just got a sneaky feeling it's going to go to the last day of the season. If I'm not parked up on a hospital bed before then, then I'm sure I will be on the last day of the season.

Something you Liverpool lot haven't realised, Gerrard is on 9 yellow cards, if he gets a 10th he misses two games...probably wont make too much of a difference because you still have SAS but no Henderson or Gerrard for the Chelsea game perhaps....and Chelsea with those great midfielders...just putting it out there...

Insane rise in the amount of people wearing LFC shirts out in the last 2 days. They're everywhere!

I believe he is okay now, if he got a yellow against Man City then yeah he would have had a suspension. I believe there is a deadline for second Sunday in April, after that your good to go.

He's done a fantastic job though to get thorugh them games without getting another yellow card. 👍

Yep, the date was the same day as the City game. If he would've received a yellow against City, he would miss Norwich and Chelsea (and maybe Crystal Palace?).

Oh I didn't know there was a deadline..

..also good news for United fans is that RVP is back in full training and could play against Everton Sunday 👍

I think he would have just missed Norwich and Chelsea. Last thing we needed was missing our captain, so glad he got through without picking up another yellow.

Got Henderson out for a few games, and I think Sturridge could be aswell, but still we're waiting on tests for him.

Shame about Henderson, the challenge was bad but it was a heat of the moment type of challenge.

We can manage without Sturridge for a few games, we didn't miss him too badly when he was injured earlier on in the season. Maybe with his injury we'll see Lucas back into the starting XI. Hopefully he doesn't miss the rest of the season though.

Best half we played for a long time, I still maintain with a better manager and a fully fit squad we would have won the league.

Fantastic reading and sentiments expressed by Roberto Martinez at the Hillsborough memorial today...

There's a link to Brendan's thoughts on the same page... listening to this, I really believe we have a manager who understands what Liverpool FC stands for, what it means to the city and its people, its values and principles. He's even starting to sound a bit Scouse too :)

Both of those speeches gave me chills. Two very well spoken men giving great speeches.

EDIT: Just watched the ESPN 30 for 30 on Hillsborough. I thought it was a well put together piece. I learned a lot of new information about the disaster itself, the victims, their families, and the inquires. If at all possible, I recommend you guys watch it.

I'm probably the only member at Redcafe that likes the fact that Liverpool looks set to win the title rather than City.

It's probably partly due to do the nature of Manchester City financial situation these days.
But mostly it's sentimentality; the 25th anniversary and the fact that Stevie G deserves to lift the trophy for Liverpool before he retires.

Don't get any ideas though. Next year will be our year

A lot of United fans want City to win title rather than Liverpool, but I'm the opposite because I absolutely hate City with a passion and although I don't like Liverpool I do have some respect for them, if they do win the title 97% of me will say 'the ****ing Bastards!' but the other 3% will say 'Well Done to them, they deserve it'....

I want neither Man City, Liverpool or Chelsea to win but if I have to pick it goes Chelsea, then Man City, then Liverpool.

That came out completely wrong to how I meant the other day. I still only support Manchester United and Rushden and Diamonds AFC Rushden.

That did wind me up, supporting Everton as a United fan because you don't wont Everton to get fourth is a bit pathetic, especially when we can get fourth ourselves, it might only be a small chance but its still something to fight for and we should get behind the team...

Palace are 1-0 away to Everton and City are 1-0 up v Sunderland, Puncheon and Fernandinho with the goals, neither of the games are on Sky as they are showing the El Clasico Copa Del Rey Final, which kicks off at half eight I think...

El Clàsico is a go! Cup final in Spain!

Gonna be an exiting evening!

Edit: And it's 0-1, a great counter attack by Real Madrid... Di Maria with a good finish! Looked to be offside though!

Palace are now 2-0 up v Everton through Scott Dann, could be a good night for Arsenal this, City are still 1-0 up..
