Good day so far with Cardiff getting battered and Liverpool choking....is it wrong that I want City to win to make it worse for Liverpool...

City 1-0 Dzeko!!

Choking?

Chelsea defended (VERY well!) like a bottom of the table team for 90 minutes (plus the endless time wasting). The goal came from an unlucky slip. I think we had something like 70% possession... hardly choking

You had some good chances and forced Schwarzer into good saves (he had a great game!) but Suarez didn't really do a lot and you still lost to a Chelsea team which had no Hazard, Terry, Cech, Oscar, Luiz and Eto'o....

Not when you've been waiting 15 years for your favourite team to win.
Interesting != satisfying

And I've been waiting 23 years for my team to win anything. At all.

If Man City win all their remaining games then they win the league...and they are now favourites to win it...

OK so Man City winning their remaining games and barring Liverpool getting some freakish results then City will be champions..

Freakish?

They play Newcastle at home and Palace away. They played Newcastle away at the end of last season and won 6-0. This season they've put five past Tottenham, Stoke, Norwich, Arsenal and Cardiff (technically six). Two 6-0 games - which are unlikely but not really freakish - improves their goal difference by 12. Married with three one goal wins for City (which they've done five times this season - Stoke, Swansea, Palace, Liverpool, West Brom) and the title is Liverpool's.

Freakish?

With Palace at home...on a Monday night...yes.

Mind you, anyone could make up 9 goals in one game against Newcastle right now. But then so could Man City against West Ham.

Remember. Anyone but Liverpool.

City win 2-0, great day of football, 8 goals from 3 games...

Do you really want to see the title decided by goal difference? All it's going to do is add haste in their matches. Both LFC and City.

Actually I'd love to see Liverpool and City draw a game to even it up with Chelsea and on the last day of the season all going in even could go any way depending who turns up in all the games.

Yep.

Yet at the same time nope. I don't really care about the Premier League title.
What do you care about then? Watching the players frustrated?

I understand you get a lot of OMG whogonnawin excitement as a neutral but if it ends up being decided by goal difference it'll be like a dream boxing match ending by decision.

Like every dream boxing match then?

*Grabs bucket* :yuck:

Just didn't feel confident to be honest after watching Chelsea park the bus midweek. We all knew they would take the same approach against us today, we did have our chances though but it wasn't to be today. It's a hard one to take this one, will take a couple of days to get over this no doubt about it. Not the type to point fingers at any of our players, they gave it everything today but it just wasn't to be.

We're still in it but kind of relying on Chelsea and Man City to drop points again, it could happen as there have been plenty of twists and turns in this title battle. 👍

We have responded pretty well this season whenever we've had a bad result, so today will definitely test our players character in the next game. It's key we don't slip up against Palace, that would be really bad and I feel we definitely deserve to have a shot at winning the title on the last day. It looks like it will go to the last day, as I felt it would a week or so back.

We'll regroup and we go again, I know alot of fellow Liverpool fans will be bitterly upset today, but we stick together and support the team right to the end. 👍

You know my point. Both deserve to be in it as well as Azpelicuta
Ramsey only played half a season and Koscielny gives away penalties too often.

Azpelicuta I'd imagine was voted for, i would rate him higher than Shaw tbh.

Kompany played only 3 more games than Ramsey, He gave away what 3 penalties? I'd give you penalties claim but he has been a better defender thank Kompany through out the year.

Works for me.

I don't have a dog in the fight. Thus I enjoy seeing as much fight as possible from the dogs. Besides, it's difficult to know who to hate more for the various reasons. I even hate Everton for '66.
