Now I regret picking Kone and leaving Bony on the bench in my fantasy...

Why not play three strikers, them and the midfielders will score more than defenders most of the time.

Is it just me or did United's defence look really really ropey in that game?

It did but you can't argue with 4-1 but it was harsh on Swansea.

Double standards from referee since day one of the 2013/2014 campaign.

Just the thought that I was so excited about it hurts me even more than that loss.

I know, it's absolutely ridiculous. So he ships out all of the deadwood (good) but then does nothing to replace them, leaving our squad incredibly thin, so we ended up playing a right-back at left-back.
He hasn't IMPROVED the squad from last year either, so once again the best we can hope for is to finish fourth, whilst everyone else has strengthened their teams.
His substitutions are also pathetic. Brings on Podolski during the 80+ minute when he should have done this much earlier, as Walcott was non existent, and Wilshere did nothing but bitch at the opposition/ref.

Wenger is makiing my blood boil and the day be leaves will be the day I celebrate more than I ever have before. Can't wait.

The worst thing is that decision to buy now will be reactive rather than proactive, you've got 180 million in cash that can be spent, and if you look at the number of fit first teamers it is hilarious.

I'm in the market for a new shirt, but I can't decide between Altidore's home Sunderland shirt or Schweinsteiger's third Bayern shirt. I'm leaning toward Altidore, but I may want his USMNT shirt..

Decisions..

This.

Its like two years ago where it will not be a rush to sign anything that moves in the last week bit of the transfer window - last time what did we end up with in the pinch? Mertesacker and Arteta .

Wenger just screwed the season. He needs to go.

A lot of these first games were very exciting! I was able to watch the Liverpool vs Stoke fixture and the Arsenal vs Aston Villa fixture. Liverpool vs Stoke was very good to watch as it was end to end and the keepers were massive heroes on both sides. Arsenal vs Aston Villa had some of the most shocking refereeing I've seen. Bad calls went both directions but, Arsenals bad calls resulted in goals for Aston Villa it seemed.

Chelsea vs Hull City tonight! Come on Chelsea!

Good performance by Palace despite the loss, I thought they played well and I loved the Spurs fans chanting 'Arsene Wenger, we want you to stay'!

Oscar gets the first for Chelsea and he is in my dream team! :)

Mother of god, that had to be almost 40 yards..

Good start for The Happy One. Quick 2-0 lead in the first half (Should've been 3 had Lamps put that Penalty in the net). Hold it out for the rest of the game with little to no chances for Hull. The type of Football we played in the first half was something I think that even Bayern would be scared of. Very quick, imaginative, decisive passing. Hopefully we can do that sort of play against every team that we come up against.

Lampard's free-kick should've been saved. Rubbish mistake by the keeper.

So United, Chelsea and Spurs won at the weekend. City need to win tonight or we can count this season as constant catch up.

Shocked at Man United for making such a pathetic offer for Felliani and Baines, £28 million for both?!...that wont even pay for Felliani I reckon!

Also Arsenal have had a £10 million bid for Cabaye rejected by Newcastle..

Agüero literally placed the ball in a ball-sized window to score that.

Both offers are at least £10 million short of what each team would have to offer to stand a chance. I don't want Fellaini, he's a limited player and a dirty cheat too and his value is way too high. :yuck: I'd rather have no one over a overpriced player bought just for the sake of buying.

Id rather have Cabaye over Fellaini and I cant believe that no one has linked him to United..

...I think if United put the Everton bid up to £35 mill then they'll think about it..

So it Chelsea v Villa tonight which was brought forward because of Chelsea v Bayern in the Super Cup in a few weeks...which is exactly what happened last season!

Good first half performance from Chelsea (Aside from the last minute of the first half). I fell asleep after that and woke up to a 2-1 victory so, 3 points in the bag. On to Old Trafford now!

Well you missed a fair bit. Ivanovic struck Benteke with his arm and somehow only got a yellow for it, went on to score the winner when he was in an offside position and finally in added time Terry clearly punched the ball whilst in the box and the ref did nothing.

Sounds drama filled then. Let's hope that the refs are a bit better in the coming weeks. All of the games that I saw this weekend had some pretty shocking decisions.

Because Mourinho.

Are you referring to Kevin "Chelsea's" Friend

He's always been bad. On more than one occasion he's had both managers angry at him.

It is possible for them to improve, look at Lee Mason, he was awful until last year when he did a good job for the most part. Now I've said that bad Mason will probably return this year. :scared:

So West Brom have given Anelka compassionate leave...anyone know why?

Really?!?...well that definitely sounds like him!!

Ok Ive just seen the news about it on the telegraphs website and its say he has recently suffered a tragedy and the leave was amicable...if he does retire then WBA will have not much time to get another striker in...
