You might be right there is a bit of a gap points wise between the bottom three and the rest...going to be difficult for them to make that up..

Did anyone hear what Gary Neville said about the title race on MNF last night?, he said that choosing between Liverpool and City is like choosing with bloke gets your wife!

Also someone put on Twitter that Tim Sherwood is the worst caretaker since Ian Huntley

He's not the only one.

So they cant replace Valdes or Puyol when they go in the summer but the Halilovic transfer has been approved because it was before the ban...

So does this mean if a player requests a transfer for family reasons, or general personal reasons or whatever they aren't able to do so?

If so it may be a fair ban for the club, but not for the players.

I assume players can leave, but Barcelona can't sign anyone.

Also is this going to be appealed? I remember Chelsea got in trouble signing Gael Kakuta a few years ago but managed to get their transfer ban lifted.

I bet it will be appealed and upheld.

Not much football news about today, Stuart Pearce will take charge of Notts Forest from July 1

And seven players from football league clubs in the North West have been arrested in connection with alleged bribery and money-laundering, six original players re-arrested as part of the investigation....

Also a washed-up psychopath says a fat, pie-smashing whingemachine isn't a "world class" player.

And he's right, but most folk are concentrating on the "Pfft, coming from you" angle...

He also called Pastore 'a turd of a player' on Twitter even after he scored that great goal last night....

....I also found out today that Barton is doing his UEFA A badge, so he'll be on the touchline in the near future....if anyone hires him!

All the top clubs are up to it.

My sister in law used to work for one of the biggest Premier League clubs (I won't say which one for obvious reasons, but they won the league whilst she was working for them)... they were doing all sorts of stuff to get around the rules on signing and paying under 18's.

Serves them right. Never been a huge fan of Barcelona. Always hated their tactics. Yes, they may have some of the most technically gifted players in the world but, it doesn't give them an excuse to play like a bunch of girls. Barcelona spends more time rolling on the ground and complaining to the refs than Cristiano Ronaldo. And that's saying something.

Having watched most of Barca and Real's games this season (and for many previous seasons), I can't agree with this.

There's no one worse in World football for sulking than Ronnie if the ref doesn't give a free kick the moment anyone dares to come within 10 yards of him, never mind tries to tackle him... and he's probably better now than he was when he played for Man U

Hardly ever see Messi diving or sulking (note, I say 'hardly ever', and not 'never')... I'm frequently amazed how hard he tries to stay on his feet when he's been fouled (sometimes multiple times), and how quickly he gets back up when he is brought down.... he could get 2-3 players a game sent off if he went down under every crap tackle.

Anyhow, Di Maria dives more in one game than the entire Barca team does in an entire season

Yeah, I saw that article on BBC sport... as you say, he's spot on in his comments, but coming from Joey Barton, no one is going to take it seriously

Benteke could be out for the rest of the season after doing his ligaments, could be out of the World Cup as well....gutted for him..

My god, all the good players are getting injured or are just out of the world cup, Robbie Kruse for australia, Falcao, Benteke, Ibrahimovic, next Messi, Ronaldo, and Ribery will break their legs or something

In all fairness, Ibra would have been watching the World Cup from his couch anyway.

Diego Costa with a minor injury at the moment as well.

Here are the games this weekend, every weekend from now till the end of the season will be big as we head to the business end of the season...

Saturday
Aston Villa v Fulham
Cardiff v Crystal Palace
Chelsea v Stoke (5.30 Sky)
Hull v Swansea
Man City v Southampton (12.45 BT)
Newcastle v Man United
Norwich v West Brom

Sunday

Everton v Arsenal (1.30 Sky)
West Ham v Liverpool (4.00 Sky)

Monday Night
Tottenham v Sunderland (8.00 Sky)

Gutted for Jay Rodriguez. That could end his world cup hopes. Looks like it could possibly be a cruciate injury as he landed very awkwardly. I hope it isn't too serious.

United win 4-0 against Newcastle...

Really good match, some great goals and overall a good performance. :D:tup:

4-0 away from home against Newcastle which is a difficult place to go. A sublime free kick from Mata as well. The team as a whole played very well today and that'll also give us a load of confidence going into Wednesday's game with Bayern.

Now I have to stream matches thanks to BEIN sports changing plans 6 games to the end of the season, worst coverage I've ever seen.

Decent performance from United.
Mata and Kagawa together is a joy to watch.

Bayern lost against Augsburg today as well, can't wait for Wednesday.

Just like last week against Villa a comfortable win, still got the best away record in the league, its the home record that's ****!

Disappointing defeat for Swansea after winning last week but we are still 5 points clear of the drop

Also Massive congratulations to Leicester for winning promotion to the Premier League after a 10 year wait, Welcome back boys!
