You guys weren't kidding about the safety car

You guys weren't kidding about the safety car

The good thing about it here, is it usually comes at a time that A: It has got a bit boring, and B: The time that the leaders are pitting. This timing makes this race one of the best of the year.

Di Resta and Maldonado join the usual suspects as the victims of Q1.

Anyone know of a live stream somewhere? Stupid NBCSN televising some soccer league. Epic NBCSN/Time Warner Fail. Time Warner not on the NBCSN live stream list.

Just heard Kimi has a bad back, thus why he didn't complete a lot of laps in FP3.. Could contribute to his lack of performance in qualifying.

 Vettel was worried for a bit there,Stellar lap from him again though, equally stunning Quali for Nico and Romain.

Edit:Sorry for double post

I was literally biting my nails on the last seconds. Awesome lap by Nico, almost had it there but great effort by Romain. Never expect him to be so far up there!

Completely dodged playing GTA V today in favour of F1. Wasn't a bad session, had my hopes on Vettel getting blitz'd by Webber, Rosberg and Grosjean at the end but it didn't happen.

Hulk had a DRS problem and Kimi apparently had back problems. Problems or not though, he's been doing pretty bad in qualifying lately, even by his own standards. It's hard to think it's because of the money because he doesn't really need it does he?

I hope Grosjean and Rosberg get a decent start tomorrow because if neither of them are leading the race by lap 3, I'm going to stop watching the race. I'd put Webber in there but we all know his car starts in reverse gear.

The GP2 Feature Race was quite good to watch this morning. Nasr was leading Palmer by well over 10 seconds after the pit stops with only about 15 laps to go. Palmer caught up to Nasr and flew past him with 5 laps to go. He was gaining around 1.5-2.0 seconds per lap on his team mate and well over 2.5 seconds over the rest of the field. He went on to win the race by over 10 more seconds. The team were worried over the radio that his car could fail due to the heat. It never did and he had nothing to lose. What a great performance.

The tires played way too much of a part in the outcome though. Palmer gained 25 seconds on Nasr over the last 10 laps, obviously not on true pace but because Nasr's tires were gone way too early, very unusual for him. A bit of a farce really, the field was very spread out because of the tire sensitivity, the tires were everything and all things in this race, which it shouldn't be. I don;t know how you can evaluate driver talent when it's such a lottery.

Yawn, boring quali. Probably checking the result first tomorrow before deciding whether to watch the race at all.
