Hamilton on pole.

I agree, matty. Best session in a long time. 👍
Let's hope that tomorrow will follow this excellent day.

Well I just saved myself a Tenner. 30 seconds more rain and tomorrow's race would look so different.

A McLaren sitting as high as 6th on the grid is more of a shock than the possibility of seeing a Force India on pole this season.

Nice to see Button getting well into the top 10 though.

Hamilton said he ran on in turn 1, from memory he started the lap quite close to Vettel, I then saw him quite far behind Vettel half way around the lap but coming onto the home straight you could see how much closer he was. I tried looking at the sector times on the F1 website but they seem to be taking the faster Q2 times into account so I can't see the differences.

Hah, oddly, I've just had published an article I wrote yesterday about why Spa is the best track in the world

What's VDG doing up in 3RD?

He ran 3 laps (IIRC) on slicks at the end of Q1, which allowed him to get the heat in them perfectly timed as the track got dry. It was a gamble that both Marrusia and Caterham went with and it paid off.
That's the difference being on the correct tyre at the right time can make.

Kinda figured whose it was when it showed up on my FB feed... :D

Bad luck for Rosberg. Destroys everybody on the first two laps, but then Hamilton and the Bulls get a 3rd lap started before the checkered flag and it's all for naught.

Like! Like!

Oddly, it's attracted exactly the opposite kind of comments to the 'Ring one I posted a month or so back. Seems you can praise a track without ever going there, but not hate one...

Tomorrow's race is going to be very interesting & exciting. I'm going to say Nico Rosberg will take the win because it will take more than just speed to win. Enjoy the race all! 👍

Gutted. Mostly because the radio station spoiled the results for me on my way home to watch quali, but even more so when I saw how it happened. Can Hamilton get any more lucky this season?? It was obviously a last man to the line the last couple of minutes and guess who it was..

Exciting though. Up until I saw the RedBulls' times I thought I heard wrong in the radio and I was up on my feet. Di Resta must be crying.

I don't see the top 4 changing tomorrow unless the race is either too hot, or too wet.

Just watched the F1 Q and what can I say but what an eventfull last 2 mins....wow how guted is di'resta.
