Awesome race from Marquez ... again. This guy is really the best there is atm.
Good comeback from Rossi aswell in the last 6 laps.

A great weekends' racing across all classes, lets hope that Brno can deliver just as well!

If Marquez can stay on the bike for the remaining races and avoid any DNF's, he will undoubtedly be champion this year.

Moto2 though, I think will come down to the wire.

I just can't believe Marquez... He pushes it to the limit for the whole race without crashing and without losing pace due to tyre wear, his race craft is incredible, he's as good as anyone in the wet and his one lap pace is staggering. If you combined the best qualities of Stoner and Rossi you'd get Marquez. Great racing throughout the field, one of the best MotoGP races I've seen in a while.

Nooooooo, Cal Crutchlow to Ducati for 2yrs replacing Nicky Hayden. Do just take any Factory ride man! This can only be good for me if Nicky & Cal are just going to do a bike swap which I doubt. I'm guessing Alex E., Pol E., or Scott Redding will probably find a seat Tech 3 Yamaha now.

Nevermind on that note just read earlier posts. I figured one of the 3 riders I thought of.

BBC seemed to think if Hayden stayed in MotoGP next year it would be on a CRT LCR Honda.

It wouldn't be a CRT, as that class is non-existent. He would be on Honda's production RC213V if anything.

In regards to the "Redding to Forward Racing on a privateer M1 thing", that doesn't sound like a bad move at all. But I think that it's been announced too late for Redding to make a decision, I'm fairly sure that he would have signed his future to either Gresini on either a Satellite or Production RC213V or Pramac Ducati on-board the Ducati. I'm happy to be proven wrong, but that's just the vibe that I get.

Also, I cannot bloody wait for Silverstone at the way things are going!

Brazil is back!

The MotoGP™ World Championship will return to Brazil in 2014 at the Autodromo Internacional Nelson Piquet Brasilia, subject to FIM Homologation.

Privateer bike, not CRT. Basically a current CRT but the engine comes straight from a prototype manufacturer rather than a shop.

Given the fact that Pedrosa and Lorenzo still aren't 100% things would just keep looking easy for Marquez.

I think they are close to 100%, lets not forget they still finished miles ahead of the other riders.

It's just getting confusing, I remember when we had just factory and satellite bikes now we will have factory, satelitte, satelitte/CRT hybrids and CRTs. It's hard to know whether or not a rider lower down on the grid is doing well or not anymore.

I totally agree with you on that.

This is how it used to be with Privateers. Basically LCR currently lease a bike off Honda, as of next year they will also be able to buy 6 engines to use throughout the year from Honda or Yamaha. They find a chassis themselves making it a cheap alternative, slightly more expensive than current CRT, but more competitive.

Here's full clarification of the whole "Factory, Satellite and Privateer thing".

The FIM has clarified that this is not the case and that the format of two factory team riders, plus two satellite team riders, will continue - albeit with allowances for the new privateer machinery, running the full standard ECU system.

"Manufacturers will be permitted to make two direct “Factory” specification entries in their own team and to lease Factory specification machinery for a further two [satellite] entries.

"They may now also lease machinery for additional entries. These machines will run under the non-Factory [privateer] regulations for the class."

Very exciting Moto2 and GP racing - Brno never fails to deliver.

I think the only person who can stop Marquez from winning the title is himself - Pedrosa is too meek and Lorenzo doesn't seem to have the machinery.

I honestly dont think Redding is going to be Moto2 champ - over the last few races he has not had front running pace. I just wish the commentator's would stop prattling on about him every 2 minutes 👎.

Brilliant action from Brno as always. The Moto3 race certainly was the highlight for me given the pace of John Mcphee and Alexis Masbou. I also thought that the MotoGP race wasn't bad, certainly one of the stronger ones of the season but I was disappointed when Crutchlow hit the deck. Moving on to Moto2, I agree with what you're saying Mike about Redding, I know he's got a lot of pace but his weight disadvantage doesn't help him. I hope he does better in MotoGP next year.

Funny you should say this, because as the season winds down its quite clear its becoming more of a Pedrosa - Marquez fight as oppose to defending champ acutally trying to defend his title.

As for yamaha, brno is clearly revealing their achilles heel and for good reason. The track was tipped as being one yamaha was guaranteed to win on, but as we learned with previous races these yamaha-tracks are starting to favor the honda bikes. To make things worst, if you take Rossi's comments about into consideration its quite clear that yamaha will not be be running their seamless gearbox this.

To conclude, I'm a huge Lorenzo fan and given the fact that he still has yet to recover from the collarbone injury his title defense is diminishing race by race.

I wouldn't begin to cast doubt on Redding chances as the next 2-3 races would give us a picture of where the Moto2 championship going. Now if I was Redding though, I would very much hope for a win or a good podium result going into silverstone as its the final part of a triple-header.

Crutchlow hit the deck.

If he is doing it every weekend on the best handling bike on the grid, I fear for him on the Duke...

Oh he is trying, but the bike is weaker on the brakes and slower on the straights - not much he can do about that to fight off the Honda's.

And what's this mysterious lever?

honda.jpg

Following text is just the Italian text put in Google translate.

"Looking through the box, to the most careful observers did not escape a particular characteristic of all Honda. It is a small lever under the left handlebar, in the same position where it was fixed the rear brake lever to the handlebar, such as that used by Doohan. The lever of the mystery is shown in the photo on the left. Its function is different, however, and try to solve the mystery was Valentino Rossi. "I do not think that would serve to restrain, the Honda riders use the classic pedal" has guaranteed the Doctor.

Then he assumed his function: "I think that it serves to put the transmission in neutral, even if it's just my guess." The seamless exchange has the advantage of canceling the transit time between one gear and the other, always ensuring traction during changed. In practice, and greatly simplifying its operation, it is as if the change had always two gear, being able to switch between them in a very quick time. In a traditional motorcycle exchange the idler is placed between the first and the second, but this would cancel all the advantages of the seamless transition between the two gears.

"In order not to lose them - continues Valentino - the crazy has been moved below the first, but this could be a problem when you scale the brakes. There is a risk that put the crowds. Then, they could have stuck his engagement with the foot pedal. "The explanation for Rossi nell'inedito role of technician is flawless. I wonder if Honda will confirm the theory."

Poor Danny once again,... Any opportunity he gets to maybe take the crown there is always something getting in the way. With Marcus around I highly doubt he will get that 1 elusive championship under his belt now. The move Marcus put on Jorge under braking was ingenious. The way Marcus rides I would want to see him race Casey Stoner more than any other rider since they are the most acrobatic riders with the most aggressive rear end kick outs as their riding styles. I wanted Danny to stay with Honda because I want the guy to get at least 1 under his belt, but for entertainment purpose bump his butt back on something else and let Casey rear end drifting butt go after the kid. That will be exciting to watch, trust me! :sly:👍
