Over-rated???

Have you even seen his stats, and the matches he has played?

And the 60m Euro last year was a permanent deal, this year it was a loan with option to buy.

I believe it was £16 mill for the loan, with the option to buy next summer at £35 mill.

Correct any doubters spend 10 minutes on Utube. I'd rather have him than face him put it that way.

Lol people getting jealous now the days of promoting youth are over send them out on loan to gain experience and then play them when ready. LVG has promoted Blackett to the squad and Moyes promoted Januzaj. We need to have a strong team to match City and Chelsea.thats why we went out and got Falcao and Di Maria we need quality which is what we don't have. If we don't we will turn into Liverpool for the next 10 years.

Cleverley joins Aston Villa on loan for the season and can get him for free at the end of the season when his contract with United expires

Speaking of United, young midfielder Nick Powell has joined Leicester on loan, will be good for him to get PL experience

Everton have signed striker David Henen from Olympiakos on loan, I've heard a lot about him, heard he is a really good young player...

Some interesting speculation that Ronaldinho will join Basingstoke Town in the Conference South . If he does, I might consider buying a season ticket considering their stadium is only a 20 minute bus ride from where I live .

If I was Ronaldinho, I would play for a different non-league team each week. At this stage in his career, he just could and has nothing to lose.

 Well he's getting on for 35 and no big club is going to gamble on him staying fit so it's a great opportunity for smaller clubs like Basingstoke to get themselves known. Imagine the revenue that they would get from merchandise, ticket sales etc. Also The Camrose (their stadium) has a capacity of about 6000 IIRC which is a lot for a Conference South side.

Wembley has a capacity of 90,000 which is a lot for an international game. They still couldn't get it more than half full though.

The FAI have had a similar problem with the Aviva for friendlies, regularly having an attendance of 20,000 or so, I think the lowest for internationals was when the Nations Cup was on, one of the games Ireland didn't play had less than 1,000 people at it.

Sometimes, I don't get national stadiums. Why not have the national team travel the country and play at different venues each game? I don't think many northerners would go 300-odd miles down to London on a Tuesday night and pay £80 to watch a game when they have work the next day. No wonder only 40,000 people turned up.

If the national team travelled the country, they could engage with the fans more, bringing them closer to home and bring in extra ticket revenue for the clubs whose stadium they play in. The exception of course, would be where the standard of football stadia in a country means that only a national stadium could host games but in England's case, wouldn't it be better and far more interesting to have them play at Old Trafford, Hillsborough, Goodison, St. James's Park, Anfield or Villa Park? Just like they did during the construction of new Wembley and the so-called 'Golden Generation'.

This is a quote from last December, but it certainly applies now that Sturridge probably has another injury for international duty. Hodgson is a monumental idiot.

'Roy Hodgson has admitted that he tested Daniel Sturridge's commitment to England by picking him against Germany last month even though the striker was not completely fit.

The Liverpool striker played 90 minutes for England in the 1-0 defeat at Wembley but has since been ruled out of action for two months with an ankle ligament problem.'

Coventry City play their first game at their Home ground the Ricoh Arena in over a season tonight, they have been playing at Northampton's Sixfields stadium because of a rent dispute with the owners of the Ricoh, thye have sold over 18,000 tickets for tonight's game against Gillingham

Sheffield Wednesday proposed takeover by a Azerbaijan businessman has fallen through..

I'm so pissed off with Rodgers only singing Lallana and Lambert this window. I would've loved for us to get Moreno, Markovic, Balotelli, Emre Can, Lovren & Manquillo, but apparently we didn't get any of those.

Rumors about Ronaldinho signing with a Mexican Team are starting to emerge... If true, the deal must be completed today before the Mexican Transfer deadline...

Ohhh boy... ohhh boy...

[anxiety intensifies]

So Balotelli wasn't picked in Conte's first Italy squad and Liverpool decided to put him in a practice match against Wolves at Melwood earlier, and it's been reported that he got sent off for kicking an opposing player in the head...

I heard conflicting reports that Balotelli got headbutted and is suing the wolves player for damages against his studs.

Balotelli is in for a treat when he will be up against Rojo both are feisty ones a defender and ones an attacker should be an entertaining match.

When he is up against Ramos and Pepe might get a bit interesting. :mischievous:

According to the paper, there was an altercation between him and George Saville which he didn't get sent off ofr but they had to sub him because he was angry and he might've lost his temper..
