That's easy enough to do if you don't quit between sessions. I've done it a few times...started and ended first session at around 400 km, didn't quit and came back later that evening for another 400-500 km session ending up with almost a 1000 km on the odometer before turning things off.....its not a big deal.
Ive done that as well, but that is still impressive, and doubly so for someone who's already #1.

I think there is nothing wrong with what he's doing. If i had the skills to be #1 in the world i would be flexing My elitism too. Im sure it took a lot of hard work and dedication to reach where he is at. If people don't like it, put some top times up to knock his down. Thats the only answer i see.

If he was so worried about having the extra week, which I do sympathize with the country that this rule affects and I do think it is unfair, then why didn't he simply use the account that allows the full two weeks in the first place?....that would have been the smart and proper thing to do. I'm sorry, but I do not agree with what he's done, there is no reason/excuse for it, not when he could have done what I just mentioned in the first place. Now multiple accounts not to mention the, "look guys, world number 1 video" that's sure to follow.

And no, putting up a lap time to beat his is hardly the right answer, in my case anyway.

@Dhalism Yes, it is impressive in the sense, and in his case, that it shows his drive and determination to achieve the perfect lap even though he does have the number 1 spot....I'll give him kudos for that in that regard.

MY bad i had a misunderstanding with earlier post. Did not realize different accounts. I understand everything ur saying now

I don't see what the problem is? Everyone knows he isn't eligible, everyone knows why he has two accounts on the board but he isn't depriving anyone of anything? If he had ten accounts occupying the top ten places he isn't achieving anything so what's the problem? There's a lot of butthurt about this for apparently no reason? The fact he does have 2 times in the top 2 is pretty impressive to be fair!

How anybody can gold this event with a ds3 is beyond me. I have been at it all weekend non stop and still can't get gold, can do 1:23's all day have even got a mid 1:21 by accident I think as I can't repeat still not good enough for gold. I do think my best time I had some lucky drifting going on it's still a blur cause lack of sleep.:boggled:

It took me 1000 times to finally get it right. Basically just had to make a hard right after clearing the cones. i had to numb my sensitivity to 7 on my DS3 to make it.

A nice .5 improvement for me today from the time I set yesterday, but it's getting harder to see where I might be able to make any more gains.
I think there may be up to another .5 left out there for me, Hopefully more than that if I put in the time and effort.

Current lap time at 2:19.196 👍

EDIT: It's so bleed'n tricky to get all the lines spot on with the DS3.

Finally.... FINALLY..... Just stole rank 1 off @Spurgy 777 ! Sorry mate :) (Especially by the gap ;))! I've redlined countless .6xxs and .7xxs between yesterday and today, nailed so many .8xxs including a .802 (To say my fastest was a .801 was a kick in the face!).... Blimy that was much harder work than I expected, I've got the pace to go far quicker but nailing the laps is crazy hard! Phew! Target reached although I may have another go tomorrow, I really fancy a .6xx but not sure I can cope with torture of trying for it!

Damn you :P trying to get #1 in both GTA and the Goodwood TT, not easy to say the least

Haha, tough one that to do 2 in 1! I gotta say though my target was just a .7xx until yesterday when I was nailing sector 2 bang on, today as well same again although not my best sector 2 on that lap (Had a low .3xx) still have to master that chicane though, the added bonus of just stepping up top of the UK was awesome (I even cheered and fist pumped haha!), biggest 'hype' feeling I've had since redbull x2010 and GT5 (Although nothing will get close to that).

Well I start running laps today for the first time since last Wednesday to discover my G27 no longer gives force feedback, but will still rotate the wheel on oversteer... this is going to be interesting. :irked:

I had the same Issue i gave it a bit of rest and then started it again. Force Feedback is now lower and it doesnt last that long on high levels but it is still there^^

I saw a video from Sim Racers (?) YouTube channel with a relatively simple adapter that someone made for the T500 that allows for full use with PC. Seems like a lot of the people use it with iRacing....?
Yeah I have that adapter for use on PC, but compared to Fanatec pedals with a load cell (CSR-E or CSP's), the pedals aren't up to scratch.

You can use them on PC plugged into the wheel also, albeit with lower resolution.

I know a lot of people though that don't bother with them, leave them in the plastic and plug in their Fanatec pedals instead.

DS3 user been at this for a few days now, 2:23.02 is my best yet :irked:. The inside cones are the biggest distraction every time I come near one I instinctively countersteer run wide an fail anyway :ouch:. Years ago I'd eat these tests for breakfast
now everytime I'm on a hot run I completely lose my nerve. Any advice outside the old practice chestnut would be greatly appreciated, Thanks in advance.

:dunce:

I've gone up to my dad's house for a couple of days to help out in the garden, taking my G27 with me - but forgetting my copy of GT6. As a result, I won't be able to put any more time into GT Academy until tomorrow evening.

Somehow I'm still 8th in the UK, 6th if you exclude Twissy and Tidgney (by the way Tidgney, congrats on UK rank #1 👍) so unless I have nine or more guys pass me, I'm through to the national finals anyway. Still, I'd like to achieve a 2:14 before it all ends; you never know what might happen in the final weekend rush... :nervous:

Thats what I hope: He is in direct races , face to face, not much faster than others :)

IMMORTAL is insanely fast in races too. In one GT5 race he was slightly faster than me in one of my very best combinations (Ford Mark IV at Daytona Road Course), despite having considerably less practice. Any other combination and I'd have been left for dead.

Same situation here have numerous 2:23's have 1 mid 2:21 not sure how but can't repeat yet still trying.:banghead: Have been told to try ds3 sensitivity on 7 also just keep trying.:boggled: Wish they would just give the car for bronze or silver  Sorry couldn't be more help but good luck.

Where is the famous TRL_SAMURAI? I'm sure it was also a fake account.

As said, I don't think that's a fake account at all. If I remember right though, I think he is also a DS3 user. I could be wrong and thinking of someone else though.

You're thinking of samurai_405, the Japanese DS3 master. TRL_SAMURAI is Italian and he uses a wheel. :)

Well after only getting in 3 sessions this year it looks like I am going to have to settle for my 2:18.5xx :(

Too much travel for work, work in general, and now a camping trip tomorrow... oh well. It's been real, it's been fun, but it hasn't been real fun :P

i watch a few peoples laptims in the top10 n watch my mistakes n watch how much turnthey use with their wheels n i see a lot of people get so much more slide when braking into a corner but i dnt know how they do it i cantget the car to slide braking into a corner i hate useing the handbrake but i dnt know how they get this slide withot useing a handbrake i hope to improve soon :)

Red lapped 3, yes 3, 15:4xx in a row! Stupid reds too, easily avoidable. Able to run a 36.8-9 in the first sector now, happy about that but need to clean up turn 11 as I am losing 2-3 tenths to @outlaw4rc there... Small break over, back at it.

If you're talking about the slide into t1 and Bruxelles by chance - it's typically trail braking..

If you're willing to chance it, you can actually place the car further into the curbing at T11. It is paramount that you don't overlap throttle and brake because the curbing will definitely ruin everything. It's upshift, off the gas, slam the brake a bit, turn off throttle, mash it and hang on to that GT-R. It has gotten me a full car width over my prior ghost when I did it correctly.

Can't say that it's a consistent approach but every time I was behind my fast time approaching T11, I went for it.

Thanks for that! Gave it another 20 minute stint after my little break - nailed a 15:689, 15:921 and a 15:744 (non reds) and a 15.484 (red) in the middle of the .921 and .744. No improvement today, but becoming more consistent - which is huge for me as I am not the most solid in TT or "quali" formats. Staying positive and finding that literally laughing when I make a mistake is a much better reaction as I don't mentally shut down. I'm still REALLY excited that I am able to pull 36.xxx first sector times consistently now, my slowest first split was a 37.0xx that stint, which is nice..

I'll give that advice you gave a try tomorrow and see if I can make it work. Thanks @outlaw4rc 👍

PB 2:15.396 Glad I don't have to run this TT no more now back to my race car
And get her on the dyno should be making 550hp+
