I've never had a track day in my life, this would be like a dream come true for me. The closest I've ever come to anything like this was a ride along with Rusty Wallace (NASCAR) at M.I.S. (Michigan International Speedway) back in the day, around 1987 or 88. Don't get me wrong, I loved it and will never forget the experience, but its certainly nothing like driving yourself around the track. You are truly a lucky guy, I hope you realize that. 👍

@GTP_CargoRatt yeah I'm pretty lucky you could say that but it hasn't always been that
Way for reals came from nothing to now doing something hard work really does pay off if you work hard and have respect for your peers

Also helps when you have a  girlfriend that's into motor sports and helps me at the track

I know what you mean. I've been to the point of being told that I might not walk again after my accident about 4 1/2 years ago to where I'm at now....still waiting for my hard work to pay off. :banghead: Good for you though. 👍 I hope you use all those great opportunities to your advantage and I wish you good luck in your journey....I'm sure you'll do well.

Thanks bro, hope all is well on your end

Here is my second stint in the AllenBerg formula car :sly:

Hey Dude,
I live in Redlands, about 20 min. from Fontana, did you like the open wheel cars or the gtr more? My birthday is this week and saw a deal for $200 for 20 laps in the Allen Berg car. How many laps you do in the GTR? Maybe I can talk my wife into getting me one of these. Thats cool that you are prepping yourself for Silverstone. I just found out about Nissan GT academy about 2 months ago and bought the goods to try and make it to nationals (ps3, g27, and gt6). I'm in dental school right now so don't have a ton of time, but we'll see if I can make it happen. Was able to get in range for nationals in rounds 1 and 2, but I honestly don't know too many of the tracks or what to expect from round 4. Hope to see you at nationals.

Couple of questions

1) are you able to go to the regionals multiple times? Is it just the finals @Silverstone which is a 1 shot?

2) does anyone use simulation wheel setting?

I basically noticed a .250 improvement on each steering setting

Amateur being the quickest, added so much grip on the 370 it was pretty stupid actually

Was Stuck At 35.3xx On PRO
Switched to amateur and instant improvement

Like I told you in the other thread, purely placebo effect. See my post in the other thread.

Send me a pm where you saw that deal for 200$ for 20laps
I payed 700$ for 2 25mins sessions was about 45 laps in all
I think the 200$ program is ran off the side of fontana track
They setup cones to replicate track

I'd bite at either price point. I looked around briefly after finals last year and that amount of money would've only gotten me, at best, 10 laps total. :boggled:

If you can afford it do it it's a blast also if you mastered heel toe down shifting
Down! Do AllenBerg, if ur not so good with clutch do exotic cars half of the cars are
Paddle shift

So did anybody read the rules yet?

Looks like NYC again. I am undecided if I'll give it a go this year. I thought this was pretty funny based on our conversations from last year.

10.3All tax liabilities are the Semi-Finalist’s sole responsibility. The Sponsors will report the actual Prize value as taxable income to the Semi-Finalists and applicable U.S. taxing authorities on a Form 1099-MISC or other applicable tax forms, as required by law. Contestants should consult with their tax advisor if they have any questions about the tax implications of participating in this contest.

Hmmm, interesting. The value of the prizes is the same as well. Could mean that the format will be exactly the same with only minor tweaks.

@hOt6o4bOi My opinion is that there's no harm in going for it (as long as you keep the possibility of rejection in mind), just make them aware of it when they contact you, and tell them that your licence is currently clean. If you do currently have points, though, they'll most likely reject you without any hesitation. Good luck. :)

Thnx for the support!

I would recommend deleting your above post, going for it as hard as you can, and pretend nothing happened. They'll do a background check, but we don't know how far back they look. If they don't find it, your good.

He already put it out there what if someone at nationals makes it know to
The staff, just saying when your competing for something like gt academy
Every man for them selfs if I were you I'd get in touch with Nissan but prob
To late if that what it says in the rules that's the rule no if ands or butt...
Not trying to be an @ss

@iamsupernasty by him pretending as if nothing happen in his
Past is hopeful thinking you guys know the drill gt academy does
Back ground checks on all of the finalist and does blood and piss test
And they check your drivers license and if I'm correct DUI stays
On ur record for over 7yrs

Nah it's cool
It is what it is
Past my GT prime... If only the idiots at PD and Nissan excluded Quebec from the start it may have been different...
