Congratulations to the CCR guys, and congratulations to @Gadget334 and @memto89 for organizing a great event.

Thanks Jordan. Apart from the usual PSN network problems that caused a few Red flags in the final 12 hours, I think the event went of better than even we could have imagined. And yes, my congrats to CCR for a very well executed race, and despite the loss of their #1 driver (Jonnyb1990....who's first born chose this weekend to make its first appearance in the world...congrats to him) still had enough to stave off the very real challenge from P24.

I must say hard luck to the Poles though though. With 45 mins to go they had a comfortable 2 mins lead over CCR, and would almost certainly have had enough to hold onto that if the last DC hadn't happened and bunched the leaders up for that final mad 35 mins restart and sprint to the line.

What an absolutely epic race. I never thought that at 1500 Saturday it would all come down to a sprint finish with 2 cars chasing the win and 3 chasing the remaining podium place.

Well done to ALL racers that took part. I have huge respect for everyone and hope you are all hoping to be back again for more craziness in the 3rd weekend of February 2015 :)

Despite possibly losing two positions in that last sprint im pretty satisfied with my performance in it. Our car was in no way set up for sprints only consistency. So to actually keep up with pluck and mike who're ridiculously fast felt great. Sadly made some mistakes on the final lap and lost any chance as i was just out of slipstream range for the straight. A bit aggressive last 30 min but sure was exciting.

Damn. If you were on the livestream for the first three hours, or from 10pm till 3am, you would of seen my 'brilliant' text commentary with Adam. And I missed the end of the race. It was a brilliant race though. Great job guys!

Well, I missed it to Cam, so no worries! :D

Thanks to everyone that organised and took part in the event. It was great to see everyone stay with it for the whole race
We will be back next year for the 3rd time.

And I will be back next year in the chat, hopefully better informed than I was yesterday! (Ninners or Adam can explain what I said :P)

That sucks. I know Glen had 150 miles trip to niftyshifty's place so I guess without a car it was a deal breakerbreaker

yep it was a discovery on friday m8 been out of MOT for 11 days :dunce:,,,, i woulda went anyway, but lets just say the wife put her foot down :grumpy:.

Great job by the way to all the teams! managed to watch quite alot intermittently and it just made me even more depressed that we couldn't make it...However ,it just means we'll be super prepared for next years N24! :gtpflag: .

@Scaniabebe @KingKlingeling
Don't worry about your friends being worthless racers, it's a full year until next race. I had barely played GT at the end of last year when we signed up for the race and didn't drive to shabby anyway, GORE was after all competing for third! :) and I had less than half a year to learn how to drive, if you encourage your friends they might have twice the time I had.

We would like to thank all the teams and specially CORE for allowing us to participate, it was a great experience !
We were aware of being the slowest team, and tried at all times to give clear track under the blue flag and avoid any contacts. If anything went wrong, please accept our apologies, as it was not our intention.
Now, we have one year ahead to make some serious practice, and looking forward to run amongst the best in the 2015 edition ;).
Congratulations to all and specially to the winners.

See you all around, thank you.
Regards,
Restolho Team

I think you guys deserve as much of a congratulations as the winners do as even though you guys were last from quite early on you still stuck out the full race (I don't think many would have) and every time we (ABL) come close you did do a great job of keeping the track clear for us to pass.
Again a lot of respect for your patience and can't wait to see you all return for 2015 and hope to be wheel to wheel with you for position.

Just wanted to say a massive thanks to the guys involved in getting this set up. It went very well I thought. 24 hours of racing and it went to a sprint finish for positions. That tells you how close the race was throughout. Great driving, with great banter going on in the comms room on Skype. Although I wasn't driving this year, I was tempted to jump into the hot-seat to take a few laps off the other guys on the team! Well played to REST for making the full 24 hours even though you had more pits than laps, though I think that might have been  more than anything else. Well done CCR and P24 for a close battle. It was good to keep an eye on that battle throughout with the live timing screen. Just waiting on the official results now. C'mon, its been 24 hours now, you should have been able to review that footage by now :P

Yes I'd like to also say well done REST. From the outset they said they just wanted to finish and that they did sure their 'crashes to laps coefficient' was probably a little higher than they'd have liked but they were alway courteous whenever we came up to lap them and absolutely epitomised the spirit of the race.

Guys, last year we were you finishing 6 laps off the lead. But this year we used that experience and improved a lot to finish just 1 lap down in arguably a much stronger field of drivers.

Well done. Looking forward to seeing you again next year

Took a quick look at the livestream and the finish of the race and it seemed the GORE car had much better tyre wear compared to other 2 SLS cars. I guess they went for a less aggressive setup on their car.
