Took a quick look at the livestream and the finish of the race and it seemed the GORE car had much better tyre wear compared to other 2 SLS cars. I guess they went for a less aggressive setup on their car.

I had damage on the front right corner which affects tyre wear

I saw that as well, but yes we went for long runs and consistency not speed so wouldn't surprise me if that was true even without the damage.

Ah, P24 had worse tyre wear(particularly on the fronts) and it didn't seem apparent that they had any damage, could be wrong though.

We weren't very excited by the prospect of a sprint race to the end with that setup :P Could have got it without mistakes though as the BMW definitely was slower than us in the 4th lap and Plux got damage.. if I only could have avoided that big off. ^^

Now that we're all done with our cars it would be interesting to see everyone's tunes, maybe we could learn something from each other. :)

I'd love to see that Audi R8 tune myself :). That car is undrivable most of the time and they put down some very quick laps in it. Just curious if they found a workable tune or if they simply put in the laps to figure out how to handle it around the 'Ring.:nervous:

Just by pitting it makes it a lot easier to drive.

Yeah, those guys somehow made the Audi just as fast with the tyre glitch than without it, even when I did it with mine I couldn't get anywhere above 8:12 but a 8:04.9 during a 24h race!

Audiens is one of those cars that actually get faster after the glitch though :På still impressive performance to put down that pace in a 24 hour race

We did have damage on the last 4 laps from restart as rest by mistake hit us bfore actual start

I thought it was FRT who got caught out and hit your rear. REST caused us to get damage on lap 3 and drop really far back as I had to adjust to the car's lack of front bite when turning left

I just waiting for plane, have to back home (Ireland) after the race. I would like to say - thanks to everyone for so exciting and the most amazing race in my life! For me all teams are winners, all team finish so hard and dificult race! Big thanks for CORE and special congratulation for CCR team for finish in first place! You did amazing job and other teams as well. Glad to race with you guys and hope will do rewange in future! :) See you on track :)

Without trying to sound to much like an expectancy speech from the OSCAR awards. I would like to thank everyone for their roles played in this years N24

First of all the teams
All the teams did a fantastic job of keeping in communication throughout the race and helping the race to go as smoothly as possible. The racing was clean and fantastic all the way through.

The Host
GORE were hosting the event and that meant the extra responsibility of spec checking the cars and making sure everything ran on time. They did a fantastic job so thank you every much guys.

u9qa.jpg

Stewards
The stewards did a fantastic job all the way through the event. We can’t thank them enough for their hard effort.
@Peelster1 Peelster for the opening lap in the pace car to set the teams off at the perfect time.
@gtpcaine for being a last minute sign up and yet still being professional as anyone else out there.
@eDirtyTati being consistent right from the start when she signed up for stewarding.
@RS__96__oO again another late comer and still worked around some technical issues to still be involved.

u9qa.jpg

The Journalist
A huge thank you goes out to @adam46 for his efforts as the only journalist for the event, he did an amazing job throughout all the social media and even though he fell asleep the work he did was out standing and no one can blame hime for the snooze. Well done adam and we look forward to seeing what you can do next year

u9qa.jpg

The organisers
The team of organisers i had around me were brilliant to say the least. They have worked tirelessly with me to create the best possible race event that we could and I can’t thank them enough for that.

u9qa.jpg

GTPlanet
It goes without saying that if GTP was not around then this event would not have taken place, it has been the building blocks for us to create this event, a huge thank you goes out to @Jordan and @Wardez for all their help and support with the event and no doubt helping the event to reach the huge audience that it did.

u9qa.jpg

The audience
This event would have been nothing with out all the followers and watchers that we had, just under 10,000 views for the whole event is nothing short of outstanding and we hoped you enjoyed the whole event

u9qa.jpg

The build up
The build up events were brilliant with the megane trophy racers were exciting down to the line in both races and everyone involved in them did a great job. Well done all the drivers who took part.

Menace drift team
Although technical issues meant that MDT were cut short it was still a great spectacle they put on and no doubt will be back next year even stronger thank you to @MadFlavour and his team for their hard work to add that extra excitement into the event.

u9qa.jpg

Apologies
Stewards are sorry for the wrong lap call by one of the stewards during the race which mean ABL were a lap up on what they should have been.

Also sorry to Reaper_Racing that they could not make it to the event, would have been great for @Glenalz81 @niftyshifty2 joining us on the track.

Results

After 156 hard fought laps and a few restarts later CCR came out on top very closely followed by P24 who were always on the same lap as CCR and pushed them to the limit for the whole 24 hours. TMB snuck through to take 3rd from GORE who were pipped at the line. ABL took home a very respectful 5th place followed by FRT, TOR and REST.

1st CCR 156

All the teams did fantastic job of sticking with it even when the racing got tough and that is what we want to see, the 24 hours is not a sprint race that is won on the opening lap and as we saw anything can happen in 24 hours

Spirit of the race award
The spirit of the race award was voted for by the viewers and teams. There can only be one winner of this award which is REST, they came into the race knowing that they were not going to win, but they wanted to take part regardless and did a fantastic job the whole way through the race of not only getting out the way and keeping spirits high. The quality of person in that team is testament to all the other teams in the race that it did not matter about the winning, it was the taking part and i think all the teams this year learned something from REST. Well done guys and we will see you next year.

Final parting words from CORE
Its been a really big effort with lots of time and work put into building up this event, many hours spent organising such a special occasion. If we could thank every single person involved and all the viewers we would. Things went as smoothly as they could considering it was the first year we have run anything like this, but next year will be even bigger and better than this year. Mistakes were made but as long as we learn from them we can go on to build up this race into something even better. All we can hope for now is that next year comes around as quickly as possible.

An extra congratulations have to go out to @jonnyb1990, who although did not make the race even though he was one of the fundamental people in making this event happen, Received one of the greatest prizes of all, on the day of the race his new baby daughter was born. Best wishes for the future mate.
Thank you all again for your support and see you next year!

Watched replay of that and was simply shockwave while being close before start.
I think P24 might have thought the leader went (not too sure) but then hit the brakes meaning I had to brake, FRT had to brake and it was too late for REST, hitting FRT who hit me and I think I then tapped P24

Plux didn't you have damage even before the REST incident? the replay showed you with double rear damage even before. Either way, now I'm bummed I tried to chase after ABL. Could have just kept my distance to TMB after passing them and got that 3rd place. ^^

Can't lie, I am a little gutted not to have the 3rd we thought we had but still we had a great time and a great race and in the same spirit of REST it was the taking part and completing the full race that was important to us and we did exactly that and will just have to wait till next year and do better :D

I thought it was FRT who got caught out and hit your rear. REST caused us to get damage on lap 3 and drop really far back as I had to adjust to the car's lack of front bite when turning left
I thought it was rest but yeah we saw on map how you've hit them
Anyway great battle tmb, just surprised that live stream concentrate on p24 not on us coz our teams have pressure for position;) anyway great race and apologies from our side for any issues but what a challenge !

We thought we had the lap up but we couldn't be certain which is why we went so hard in the last 5 laps...

Such a close ending - was it Mikey in the car?

Niko - no damage till the REST incident

Yes for last hour of race was Mikey I was the one who chased you all the way and overtake you:) but now I see all that fight was pointless

at 1st dc? really? I'm sure we did 71 as was posted on skype during the race, was that not the case?

You chased down Steve and I almost got you back before the first of the two final D/Cs, it seemed like you guys tensed up when the rain was falling

Our car was really bad in the wet :( lack of downforce on the rear compared to the other cars didn't help that but we couldn't find a good wet set up for the car so went with what we knew was fast in the dry :D

For sure next year we will be a little bit better, and now its time to pratice and learn more.
I hope to "fight" next year for 3rd or 4rt possition.
