2015 Fantasy/Prediction Formula 1: The Finale

2015 WDC SPANISH GP.png

sp-lgflag.gif

The winner of the 2015 Spanish GP for a consecutive week and the first player to do so yet @jake2013guy which means he also gains a CP to use toward the WDC championship. With the championship overall having @tbwhhs still maintaining a points lead over @TRGTspecialist of 13 points and a gap over @ROAD_DOGG33J of 18 points who sit second and third respectively.

Also it should be noted that @ukfan758 would have had the win but did not have enough CP.

Now I would also like to mention two topics, picks being submitted and this weeks crown jewel of Monaco. The picks I'm seeing for say the WDC are fine for the most part...however if you miss a week and come back make sure you are looking at the most recent GP you played. Those are the consecutive picks I go by and carry through until you are no longer playing. Thus if you played in China but not Spain and you plan to make a selection this week, I will be looking at what picks you made in China. It does not mean you start fresh as if you didn't pick anyone at all prior. Also please watch your CP if you don't have the CP to allow you to pick a constructor or driver then don't do it because if you do you will not be given the points for that. Furthermore, I've noticed the WCC is where the problem lies in CP abuse or misunderstanding of how it's tallied. If you picked Merc and Merc in the same week and the next GP you pick Merc and Merc or just one Mercedes even. You've wasted either 1 or 2 CP depending on which scenario you do. So there are a couple of people that have done this and keep doing it and thus aren't getting any points in the WCC due to it cause they no longer have CP. I post the CP in each championship guide so you can come here and look at it and know what strategy to take week by week. For the most part people are doing a wise thing by using the same picks every week that don't have them wasting a CP. Which means overall people do understand how the system works. So if you have questions on this please feel free to ask.

As for the Monaco GP points structure this week everything is worth double points in other works in the standings chart I give (as seen above the country GP flag) you'll see two numbers your normal amount for any week you participate and a colored number showing how many points extra you've gained to use at any point of the season.
The Indy crown Jewel will be talked about at the bottom.

On another note, I would like to apologize for the tardiness of the postings I'm currently taking two summer classes (though the second hasn't officially started yet) and right now a lot of my time is going to family and Thermodynamics thus I may be a little flustered. However, this was the first week of class in an 8 week summer course so I'm obviously getting a schedule to work with my off time stuff like this and school/work/family. So the next GP shouldn't be as late.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The winner this week and for a third time this season in the WCC is @TRGTspecialist which means another 2 CP toward the WCC for him to use at any point in the season. It also means he is the current points leader sitting 15 points ahead of second place @tbwhhs and 44 points above third place @Spacegoat.

So good job on those two who seem to currently be dominating the overall championships in both, however with the Crown Jewel events all coming together right now this can completely change the landscape of the game as it comes to a close later this year.

The Indy race will have a unique break down in points. You will pick five drivers to finish in the top five, if any of those drivers do finish in the top five you'll be awarded 1-5 points accordingly based on how many of those five finished (in no specific order) in the top five. If they finished in the top ten or below the top five you'll be given a half point. After this the order of finish will be taken into account so if a driver finished in the exact place you predicted they would in the top five you get 5 points. Thus you can earn 5-25 points, with the highest yield being 30 points overall.

Example
User picks 1. Dixon, 2.Castroneves, 3. Kanaan, 4. Montoya, 5. Hunter-Reay

Finish order is 1. Dixon, 2. Montoya, 3. Kanaan, 4.Castroneves, 5. Hunter-Reay

Points yielded. 5 for all five drivers picked being in top 5, 15 for picking 3 out of the five in correct order.

Also if you think you have made picks in either championship that go against the amount of CP you have, I will allow you to change them this one time so you don't lose points. You will get to keep your bonus points but only change the drivers you want or the constructors. If you change the Pole position and submit a pick after quali you will be DQ'd

Hello all again, I'd like to first say thanks for participating all who did on a more action packed weekend than usual with the predictions of not just the GP but two crown Jewels. Now before I give this weekends winner I want to just make it clear that the crown jewel event is away of leaders to increase their lead potentially are those who are struggling to make up ground to the leaders potentially. So Monaco was counted as double the points with half of them counted toward the championship now and the other half to be used at the end of the season as wanted which will be explained later.

So without anything else to be said on that, the winner of the Monaco GP and the first Crown Jewel is @LMSCorvette slightly beating out @Spacegoat. However, this wasn't not enough to dethrone the still current points leader @tbwhhs, who has now increased his points lead from last week to 22, over now second place @LMSCorvette and 25 points over now third place @Spacegoat and tied with @TRGTspecialist . One thing to note however is @jake2013guy was docked a penalty for submitting his first vote after qualifying thus losing 10 points as stipulated by the rules in the OP. Though I did tell you all that you could submit a new vote before the race so long as it didn't violate qualifying and thus cheating, it was a first time submission for the GP and not an edit, thus breaking the rules. Also @ukfan758 did not submit a vote this GP and thus has potentially left the championship.

Since LMS(me) won the GP it means also winning the first of the three crown jewels however, since LMS didn't win the Indy event the Crown Jewel title can't be won by him and more importantly anyone else.

Now those who did win the Indy 500 are @aarror and @DK and as an added bonus for winning they both will get a bonus CP each. However, since they didn't win the other crown jewel they can't possibly win the title and the overall prize and more importantly no one else can either. With all that said there is a current tally of who has collected the most points from these bonus events, I plan to give the winner 4 extra CP if they win that mini championship with runner up getting 2 and third place getting 1.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The WCC this week had a single winner and a shake up slightly in the overall points. @DK also won this round in the WCC and thus gets a bonus of 2 CP he also becomes the second multi winner in that series and third multi winner this year in any of the series (WDC or WCC), so congrats on that. @tbwhhs continues his domination of consistent points averages to obtain the lead in the WCC also now with 10 points over @TRGTspecialist and 31 points over third place @Spacegoat.

@SVT Cobra GT is the only player to not go DNPR and get 0 points due to running the same picks since China thus already having used his CP and no longer accumulating points. Please make sure you are checking your picks and CP tally each week so you keep getting some points toward the championship. The Canadian GP pick form is up and I will have an outline of the points breakdown I have planned for the final Crown Jewel. I've also just made a single link that you can go to for all the former picks you've made in the OP under the GP pick form. Oh and special thanks to @Matty for a better more clear looking way of posting the results table. I'll see about making it bigger for future rounds.

So I'm going to give into the Hype of he Honda engine upgrades that are supposedly coming to Canada and pick them as one of my WCC slots.

Also the Le Mans point set up I've come up with as of now is based like this

P1: Three cars picked based on where they finish in class points will be awarded in same structure as seen below., if the car you picked wins overall a bonus 5 points

(1st: 10, 2nd: 8, 3rd: 6, 4th: 5, 5th: 4, 6th: 3, 7th: 2, 8th: 1)

P2: Same as for P1.

GTE-Pro: Due to only nine entrants the first six finishing spots will be awarded points based on finish order, as seen below

(1st: 10, 2nd: 6, 3rd: 4, 4th: 3, 5th: 2, 6th: 1)

GTE-AM: Same as P1 and P2

Tell me what you all think.

It sounds good to me

Looks like the championship has slimmed down even more, looks like three players this week have decided to not submit picks. So we look to only have nine players left. If it goes to say 5 remaining I will just pack it up early and give the highest positioned people the prize or half prize due to an incomplete season.

I completely forgot to pick for this week. If I'm out of the game then fair enough.

No no, you have 3 races to miss before you get declined for the season. You're good, sadly I had to use all your CP though so it may be a bit tough for you but you can do it, if you're still up to it.

When is the Le Mans pick form going up @LMSCorvetteGT2 ? I'm away from Friday morning (to go see the race itself!) so probably won't be able to submit after then.

I planned to have it up Tomorrow since I have Thermo work due tomorrow morning and have to work on it through the night tonight. So if you'd like just pm me and I will submit the votes for you, and you wont have to worry about it. 👍 and hope you have a ton of fun.

Doing picks for grand prix now.

Hey guys, sorry for the long absence I've been pretty busy with these summer classes and due to their fast nature had to let something hit the back burner for a bit. Not to say I don't care just that it's quite a bit of stuff and probably more than I had expected. However, I will still be able to do this but the points updates might take a bit longer, so sorry for any inconvenience.

The Canadian GP winner was @TRGTspecialist with @ROAD_DOGG33J coming in second, followed by @DK in third. Meaning that TRGT gets a bonus CP and is also first time winner of the WDC portion of the game, however it should be noted he did pick 2 drivers between both weeks and only had 1 cp to use, thus the lowest driver was neglected from his total. And since that driver was Romain Grosjean he only ended up giving back 1 point. Other than that it was a very normal pick GP weekend, everyone had Lewis for pole.

For the points there was no change at the top position however, there was movement for second and third spot. @TRGTspecialist claimed second spot with the WDC win and @ROAD_DOGG33J claimed third spot with the second place finish and @DK had now become fourth. With close fighting between 3rd on back.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As for the WCC championship @TRGTspecialist has also won this round, making him the first player to win both round in a in the two championships in a single weekend. It also means he has taken the lead of the WCC following Canada from tbwhhs.

However, the Le Mans final triple crown race proved favorable for @tbwhhs who won the most points and thus gets a bonus CP. It should be noted that @Barra333 was the only player to pick the overall winner for Le Mans. Furthermore, this wraps up the triple crown points tally, with @LMSCorvetteGT2 gaining the most over the three races and gaining 4CP, @tbwhhs finished runner up and thus gains and additional 2 cp and @DK finishes third gaining one CP.

Here is the follow up for the Austrian GP, with a new winner this season being @sems4arsenal which means he gains an extra CP as well. As for the WDC points overall, the leader remains @tbwhhs, however second place has now become @DK with a close fight for third between several players.

As for the WCC, the winners in Austria were @ROAD_DOGG33J and @aarror which means both get a 2 CP each for that portion of the championship. As for the overall points, the lead held by @TRGTspecialist didn't last long and thus @tbwhhs was able to regain it and put a gap between him and the others yet again, as trgt moves back to second with a gap between him and the rest.

The pick form is active as well, for the British GP.

Oops, sorry about that - my mistake. And no worries about the absence/delays, just keeping it going is dead on :)

Not that it has helped me much...

Eh points wise in the end it may help you gain, there are still plenty of races and you have a good number of CP to use.

@DK and @SVT Cobra GT I noticed you guys didn't make picks, so I am allowing you to do so, between now and before the race start. You will be docked 5 points and you're pole position will be ignored but that's better then not having any points. It's up to you.

DK
How the hell did I pick Will Stevens as British GP polesitter?

Remember you said he has the face that champs were made of :sly:

Nah you got to pick post quali and thus your quali pick wasn't going to count, so I can probably infer (which you can confirm) that you did as a joke since you knew it wasn't going to count. Or as in the legendary words of Kanye...YOLO

The timestamp for my entry says 7:31am...is that 7:31am in my timezone or yours?

Winner(s) of 2015 British GP
uk-lgflag.gif

qflrgl4.png

Winner of the 2015 British GP is @ROAD_DOGG33J, it's been some time in the making I'd say but he's won in second round of the year and narrowly beat out @sems4arsenal who had another great week off his win at Austria. And a nice mention to @Barra333 who rounds out the third spot with a big points haul as well. Though our leader didn't finish in the top spots this GP they still hold a command of the lead overall for now

As for the WCC portion @ROAD_DOGG33J also won that and made another upset by beating out @TRGTspecialist by one point, thus losing out to what would be his 5th win overall in the championship. The overall points however, still see @tbwhhs with the lead as TRGT closed the gap this GP to three points while everyone else trails far behind the two.

Thank you all for your participation, I am going to soon start some test questions for a variety of reasons as we get closer to the end of this fun season of the F1 Fantasy-Prediction League, so you can expect to see questions in the GP selection form that may require your input for improvement of the league or just fun as well.

Winner(s) of the 2015 Hungarian GP
12905131693922-w750.gif

2hTdidj.png

The winner(s) are @Barra333 by some margin over @aarror and @ROAD_DOGG33J, this is Barra's first round won this season, so great job on that. However, the points lead overall still remains held in place by @tbwhhs, but with Barra's win this moves him up into second spot and only 9 points shy of the leader. This cuts down the lead quit drastically from the 20 point gap he had leaving the British GP. Will he hold this lead still after Spa or will Barra take the lead from him or perhaps some other player?

For posting after the quali @LMSCorvetteGT2 was docked ten points.

As for the WCC the winner of that this GP did in fact end up being @TRGTspecialist after narrowly winning in Silverstone. This bring his total win tally up to 5 for the WCC and win 9 races to go their is a quickly decreasing chance of anyone besting him in most wins. A new trophy will be presented for the WCC side of things but has yet to be finalized as to who it will pay homage too, however despite all that more importantly is who can challenge TRGT.
With his closest rival in points having no round wins in either championship and other rivals at most having 2 wins, the task will be somewhat difficult.

And on top of that as well he has also (TRGT that is) taken over the points lead from @tbwhhs.
