2015 Fantasy/Prediction Formula 1: The Finale

DK
I can't get my head around the CPs for the WCC. If I picked Mercedes, Mercedes, Ferrari, Williams, Ferrari, Red Bull, if I were to pick any Mercedes or Ferrari in the following week, would that use up a CP?

Also, I can't remember who I picked last time out.

So let's go over this really quick. If you use two team cars (e.g. Ferrari and Ferrari) you have basically disallowed yourself to use those cars for the next GP. However, if you use a single team car (e.g. one Ferrari) then you can use it the "other" car for the next gp without trouble.

Finally, let's say a player picked Ferrari, Merc, Sauber, STR, RBR and Williams. They could do that exact same set up the following week and essentially every week if they wanted since they'd never use a CP. The moment they decide to do something like Ferrari, Merc, Merc, STR, Sauber and RBR they've wasted a CP because now they're using the Mercedes from last week and now the other Merc (new one) this week.

I hope that makes more sense. Basically if you pick a single car from a team each week you can't lose CP because it'd be like switching between drivers, but when you pick both at the same time then it changes as I've said above.

And all pick forms from previous GP are in the OP I will post up this weeks if you need it.

Ok that all sounds fine, nothing against you or anything like that, I just feel the game isn't what it was that's all :)

Nope, that is perfectly fine, just wanted to reiterate to everyone in general that I'm open for discussion on making a better game but also one the majority agrees on.

Did good this week, got 81 points in drivers if I calculated correctly, and 78 in WCC. So pretty much doubles my points in both.

Also, is there no CP's in the WCC anymore? I got that impression reading the OP, if so that would open my options up a lot.

EDIT: Never mind, reading your last post it seems it's just a typo in the OP.

Can you direct me to where the typo was and I can confirm for you how many points you have I will edit in the next couple minutes.

EDIT:

Yeah your WDC is right, the WCC is less with 69, yes there are CP in WCC I just forgot to update it. Sorry for that and thank you for pointing it out.

Ah right, I had calculated 70, 1 out for WCC but wasn't sure do bonus count towards it, so tacked on the extra 8.

And yeah was looking through to see what the story was with CP's, happy to help.

Anyway, if only Verstappen hadn't broke down I could be looking at a CP, doubt I'll get it now though.

EDIT: Taking a second look through, isn't 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 5th, and 9th (25+18+15+10+2=70)

No bonus points only go toward the WDC cause at this point I fear the WCC will only last this season and will be voted out for 2016.

You're absolutely right, my last update still showed DR 10, but I refreshed it since I'm starting the calculations and DR finished 9th, thus you'll have 70 points.

Nah it's not a problem keeps me on my toes, and I've got a nice system going to be able to tell you guys quickly what's going on. That is until studies get in the way.

Only a single winner of the WDC this week and that is Numbnuts70, good job @numbnuts70 who will also get a CP awarded for this round. There were many DNF this weekend but only 2 picked the DNF of Hulkenburg. Only one player this week picked Grosjean who finished 7th and 4 players picked Nasr 8th.

Everyone got bonus points this week by selecting early, but only one person this week decided to pick Vettel for the pole while everyone else picked that actual pole winner Lewis Hamilton.

This week had a number of people not participating and two of them are on there second consecutive race of non participation. This means next week if they don't rejoin their season will end. The others are on their first, but all points were counted as specified by the rules for when an event is missed.

Irony of this is that one of those participants (@MUSC4EVER) is slotted second in points right now (which wont last since they left the game at this time). As for the leader @LMSCorvetteGT2 has become leader, while @numbnuts70 and @Luke are 1 and 2 points behind respectively. The game from the 1-6 has a slight cushion between the rest, while the interesting fight for position heats up 7th on back to 21st with the gap being 20 points.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As for the WCC portion the fight at the top has only one person at the moment taking it away and creating a 20+ point cushion to second and also happens to be one of the two winners of that championship round this GP @numbnuts70, while the other winner was @SVT Cobra GT who now sits in third. He is tied with @TRGTspecialist and @Luke. And second place currently is @tbwhhs who has had very consistent rounds.

One more mention I'd like to make is to please vote with your actual usernamer from GTPlanet as it specifies one user didn't do so and this is the warning to all. If it happens again and I can't find that user name affiliated with the forum, then I will treat it as a troll submission and you will basically have not voted that GP. Thank you.

Great weekend and some closer battles especially in the mid pack (and top) for WDC and a tight battle in lower top ten in WCC.

EDIT: Typo in WCC standings both @mattythedog and @AlvaroF should have 2 Did Not Participate Rounds (DNPR) on their portion instead of the single DNPR.

EDIT 2: Also forgot to mention that the new submit sheet is live.

The driver from 83/212 had 2 points from 2 consecutive CP's.

What? I still don't understand. The green number 2 (like any week the CP number is green) indicates he has won and his CP count has been updated as such. He didn't get two points...it's his current CP number. Which we've been over is not a point counting method but a system that allows (or disallows) a user to pick one or multiple drivers consecutively.

Using any driver in a row doesn't get you extra points all you've done is spent a CP in exchange.

Going for broke this week, I believe the cars I picked last week will place well this week so using all CP's.

Winner(s) WDC
@jake2013guy , who is also the newest player to join the game, his tally from this weeks game was added to the lowest scores of the past 3 races from active players. With this win the player also scored a single extra cp and did so by posting the predictions at the earliest BP time possible thus gaining the most points ever in a single round this season.

New points leader opening up a 10 point margin is @tbwhhs

Several players did not make a pick for this past GP: @Furinkazen , @mustafur , @AJHG1000 , @ukfan758 and @Luke along with the several players already out who did not pick. Those players who are no longer active or allowed to participate this season are in the red lettering black highlight.

Also it looks like this race has had the highest avg. points yielded so far, so good job to those who did pick on picking who would finish and where.

Winner(s) WCC
@TRGTspecialist wins the WCC portion, which allows me to announce him as the first user to win multiple rounds this season so far. It also moves him into third position in points, and he also obtains two more cp toward the WCC. @numbnuts70 retains the lead and @tbwhhs retains second place.

The new pick form for the 2015 Spanish GP is live, please make your picks.

No hassle, just confusing why people that are winning the championship one or the other, want to drop out. You're the second person to do it. Anyways thanks for playing and it was fun having you.
