The '14 GT is good for a 12.7 stock IIRC. This one the best I've seen is a 13 flat which is depressingSorry quoted the wrong post. I ment 1/4 times vs the '14 GT

a Few tenths isn't too bad. New models should be faster but I would not mind a few tenths to make it a all around better car. This does remind me of when the '99 Cobra were coming out. Everyone was waiting for numbers and MM&FF got a hold of a pre-production car and the 1/4 numbers were a few tenths slower vs the '98s.The '14 GT is good for a 12.7 stock IIRC. I would sacrifice .3 seconds in the quarter mile to have a 2015 Mustang GT that out-slaloms a 2014 Boss 302.The '14 GT is good for a 12.7 stock IIRC. This one the best I've seen is a 13 flat which is depressing
Exactly what I was thinking.Extra weight and the loss of the live rear axle.
Me three.Marginally worse at one thing, drastically better at a bunch of others.
Yep, I'd gladly make that trade too.
The Mustang will never go away. Ford said that themselves on camera.Just be happy the Mustang exists. No matter if it's a fraction slower or heavier or costs this or that. The Falcon is gone. And yes, we will see the Mustang but, Ford are still keeping the Mustang around. I'll take that at its core above any performance numbers.
To be brutally, depressingly honest, I think there will come a day where there won't be a manual offered on a Mustang. Because there won't be manuals offered on any cars. It's sad, but it's going to happen someday. So long as there's a Ford, though, there'll be a Mustang. The Mustang will never go away. Ford said that themselves on camera.
And they also said as long as there is a Mustang there will be a stick shift offered.
Not according to what a Ford executive said.To be brutally, depressingly honest, I think there will come a day where there won't be a manual offered on a Mustang. The board of these companies aren't immortal & there are always things that can force their hand like the near extinction of the Big 3 just years ago. If Chevrolet ran into issues with keeping the Mustang's biggest rival alive after 4 generations, Ford could certainly face the same issues. Not according to what a Ford executive said.
I can agree that most cars won't have them. But they flat out said as long as there is a mustang there will be a manual for it.
These things aren't written in stone you know...Not according to what a Ford executive said.

Well hopefully I'll be dead before it happens then![]()
I think it's more so "for driver enjoyment" more than anything. No doubt aftermarket will fix that though.
Mostly, yes.Not sure how or even what that means, seems like a subjective view point taking on a life of its own.
I wouldn't really count on it. As far as technology is concerned, we're in an age where doing something of that magnitude requires more time, money, & effort than it's worth because the car simply isn't designed to have it.I think it's more so "for driver enjoyment" more than anything. The Falcon still lives.... however it looks like a Mondeo.
I would love it if the Australians could make an homage to the third gen Falcon with their new models, namely the XA GT model.
