Not sure but I think it's rather that when you start a newer session, you already took a pause, and you already know well the track and car the more you drive. I think these lap times you are talking about are only better because you enter the event fresher than before, but that's just my explanation for your curious lap times.
I have to pitch in on this. I have also noticed this peculiar event(s), and I think it's more related to time than mileage, since it also seems to occur if you do f ex a single license test repeatedly.I'm sorry, but I have to completely disagree with you. Like I said, this has happened to me in events that I have already put many miles/sessions in. I noticed this improvement in any session whether it be the first or 50th, but it always happens around the same mileage which I stated above. I can know the track like the back of my hand as I do with most tracks here, it just happens suddenly, as if the car suddenly got better or the grip did. I have/have had my theories on this but I will just continue to keep them to myself for now. Like I said, at first I thought it was just me imagining things, but since more people are coming out about this, I see I am not alone.
Does anyone know who this guy is? I don't recall ever seeing him around any of the Seasonal TT's. Looks like Immortals got some competition.
I also recognise a name up there in the top 10, Giorgio_57. I used to race with him in a BTCC-like racing series. I finished 2nd to him once and as I recall he was hard to beat but I finished within a second of him.
I never realised how fast he has become over this past year! That's insane!
See my video I posted earlier for my line through Copse. It minimizes understeer on exit but the initial entry requires practice. For the Maggots complex, it requires going banzai toward the first cone on the right. The closer you can get to it, the less chance you'll wash all the way left on exit and compromise your line. You may sometimes hit the cone but it's well worth the risk.Lol stuck at 2:06's.....quick tips for the copse, maggots & Becketts....?.guys is the hand-brake useful?
@ cargo: miguel was 2nd overall in GTA 2013 behind Titech
I wouldn't be surprised, if I'm honest. That guy has used every trick in the book to post his times, and he just keeps improving!I've seen Miguel comment on the GTA Facebook page and from his profile it looks like he's been a race camp finalist.

I just don't understand how someone is that fast! I'm struggling to maintain my lap into the 2:06's, maybe it's the pressure I don't know, but I'm really near my limit on this round. Is it true that practicing can help extend your limit (when I say help I mean, like, guide/create the path for you to improve)?[/QUOTE]
Disregard, operator error.

Thanks man! I definitely will have to look into WRS too, and see where I'd stack up! 👍 Thanks for the help and advice!I can speak first hand on this and the answer is a definite YES. Each time I thought I was at my absolute limit, the more I practiced, the more improvement came. In the WRS, I started out as D4 Bronze. By the time I hit D2 Bronze, I thought this is it, I'm as good as I'm going to get. I'm currently at D1 Bronze. For some, improvement just comes quicker. Keep practicing, you'll surprise yourself at what you can accomplish. Sometimes it don't come easy, but it still comes eventually. 👍

Are you sure it ain't the same person?...Now I know who is Miguel... He was at 2013 Race Camp, the same year where my compatriot Miguel Faísca won.

He put in an appearance in the WRS TT one week, stone cold D1G speed but iirc, he mentioned that he was ineligible. @Giorgio_57 ??
@Mikey24 Yea, I too recognize Giorgio_57 from the Seasonals, another super skilled driver.
Oh and who is Bertboy!?!?
Really glad to hear! I've been at it since day one for at least 3 hours per day and just yesterday on sunday felt quite a bit burned out so decided to stay off of it for that day. I think it definitely helps to take a rest. I'm trying to adapt to the whole e-brake idea as it really looks like a powerful tool. Although seing Wolf-Aono lap it with no e-brake (unless he feathers it) makes me wonder because I rather avoid the e-brake as much as possible. I think there's still a lot of time to be had here... Everytime a set a time I always knew there's half a sec to be had. Down to 2:05.335 can sense 04.800... keep pushing.Pretty stoked to have improved over a second in 24 hours.. 2:05.570. I'm keen to put a few more hours in but I don't want to get frustrated with GTA this early

Exiting Vale, the car needs to be touching the outside rumbles (but they will hold you there if you go in too deep). You have to keep turning right but with the amount of grip available, it only needs to be a feather touch to keep it from straightening out. If you can, start adding a little more wheel as you approach the apex but not too much. If that's proving hard to do, you can also just give the wheel some small little jabs. You may think the car won't turn but if you're on the right line, it sticks well.I just realize why I'm so slow through Club. I always take it as two corners I yank the wheel max right for the tight first part, then straighten up, then yank it again for the final corner. Looking at the top times' telemetry they take it as one continuous curve and they gain 0.3 secs just from that alone! I tried taking it as one corner but I just couldn't get the steering angle right. Then at other times my subconscious just takes over and I start to unwind mid corner. Old habits die hard
