Gutted for Toyota, that race was theirs. Motorsports is viciously cruel sometimes, and today is a great example. I wonder how Mazda is taking it, knowing that they will remain the only Japanese manufacture to win the great race. I'm sure someone over there was ready to hit the send button on a congratulatory email to Toyota.

I just hope Toyota returns next year in full force and dominates the whole race and wins by several laps.

Edit: We need more manufacture variety in GTE

Ford money wins.

Read what, I've been the damn same person replying to all of them...

I'm not saying Porsche should've done that at all, I'm just saying they didn't deserve it as much as Toyota.

Mercedes dominating in F1 is one of the many reasons why I don't care anymore for it.
Again, no, Porsche shouldn't have given the win to Toyota, I'm entirely talking about the emotional aspect.
The thread is moving to quickly, so you might've missed that.
Again, Porsche deserved it, Toyota deserved it more.

Toyota is just not meant to win at Le Mans... I was rooting for them hard. To me, this is worse than the TS020 getting 2nd despite holding a big lead.. I really thought Toyota would go 1 2. Smh..

Mazda and Peugeot need to hurry up and get back in Le Mans, I'm getting sick of Porsche and Audi winning, and Toyota isn't cutting it as the team to dethrone them.

Ah, my monthly dose of NaCl, thank you guys.

Considering how many are simply refusing to give any credit to Porsche I would say 'fanboy' is the correct term.

Nevertheless, there's no need for you to stoop so low.

Whilst it's not my place to tell you how to conduct yourself in conversation, if I see what I view as a hypocrisy I will still - politely - point it out.

I didn't see the TS050 crossed the raceline, 919 did. Toyota didn't win it.

"I'm edgy and pretend über-rational" V2.

Again. STOP ARGUING, NOBODY HERE WILL ****ING SETTLE THE DEBATE BETWEEN "LOGIC" AND EMOTION. AND IF YOU DO, PLEASE LINE UP FOR A NOBEL PRIZE BECAUSE MILLENIA OF PHILOSOPHERS HAVEN'T.

No I saw it and my message still applies, if Toyota feel their time is to come they'll push through this and make it happen. That's racing and the real spirit. Just like how I've moved on after it was obvious Corvette, Porsche and Aston wouldn't mount a challenge, but the debate about it is a fun one which is why I kept up with that.

That's quite simply bad sportsmanship.

I get it, some folks are upset Porsche won because the Toyota broke. Some people are upset that Porsche won, period. That's fair enough. Was gutted myself to see a well deserved victory slipping from Toyota. Still. Acting like it's Porsche's fault the TS050 didn't make it and being all salty is, as I said, simply bad sportsmanship.

Sorry for singling you out, it's not like there's only you who's acting like that. Just needed to get that off my chest.

I don't think I actually said anything against Porsche? Other than I wouldn't congratulate them on winning and as I've said, you're welcome to call it bad sportsmanship, I'm not competing and I have no obligation to abide by any sort of 'code'.

I'm simply a fan who was 4 minutes from seeing a truly historic victory and had it snatched away.

Nice to see my favourite marque win again by doing what they are supposed to do....finish all 24 hours. Bit of a burn for Toyota but that's racing. Build a car that's 0.5% more reliable next time and the victory is yours:lol:

And your initial reply assumed me as a Porsche fan. Which I am not. I don't really root for any teams.

All I said is that I see more disrespect coming from the Toyota fans than the others. Sorry for calling it as I see it.
