Makes that achievement a bit less impressive :D.

A bit mean of me, but I am enjoying Crutchlow moaning like a stuck pig about Ducati's performance. Well, you gave up Tech III for a "factory" team, so soak it up lad.

Awesome M3 and M2 races, Assen is made for bike racing.

Great riding by the top 3 to keep it on the black stuff riding on wets with a dry track and still giving it the beans.

Romano Fenati was having probably the best run I've seen anyone do all year, coming from an off-track excursion and 31st place to battle for a potential podium finish, only to fall as a result of a tiny little incident in the big pack.

Still mighty impressive.

Gutted when Rossi had to start at the back but he did alright in the end, I think Marquez knew that as long as he didn't bin it or wreck his tyres that he'd be able to cruise up to Dovi and take the win as the conditions dried.

Nearly at the half way point now with 8/19 wins for Marquez but Pedrosa has a good record in Germany.

Gave up? He was basically kicked out to make room for Pol. You can't blame him for going anyway, you're not winning any championships if there are 2 bikes out there with the same engine that are better bikes.

Anyway, just watched the race and I was expecting more drama with the weather but when it started drying there was only ever one winner which is a shame. I want an underwater race to really turn things upside down!
Also, I can't remove the smiley face from the quote for some reason.

The drama you're talking about all happened in the Moto2 race.
I was there live and couldn't figure out who was first, second or even last anymore.
Had to re-watch the race when I got home.

He had the option the previous year to extend his contract, but wanted a factory bike, so he delayed and then Pol got signed up in the last year of his contract when his proverbial boat had sailed.

You're right, he wont win titles on a Tech III, but he sure won't on an Open class Ducati either.

Might be worth betting on a Aleix Espargaro pole in Germany, IIRC he qualified 5th last year and in the really slow corners he looked very quick, I think the track negates some of the straight line advantage of the top bikes and the softer tyre helps a lot here.

EDIT: My prediction looks pretty good so far, fastest in FP1 and FP2.

EDIT2: It looked like Pedrosa had taken them all by surprise in Q2 but then the inevitable happened.

I was just thinking Marquez must be close to Doohan in terms of consecutive wins and it looks like he's just one away from matching him but then I looked at Agostini...

Man what a race start that was! 3/4 of the grid starting from the pits. lol
MM did take the 'youngest rider to win 9 consecutive races' from Mike Hailwood which stood since '64
Here's to many more MM in the recordbooks. 👍

Sachsenring is such an awesome MotoGP round, it hardly ever fails to deliver.

Moto3 - epic race, and chuffed for Binder sticking the customer Mahindra into second. I hope he gets more HP next season. The battle for 6-12th was awesome too.

Moto2 - pretty good too, the title race is closing up nicely

MotoGP - interesting start, but pretty boring race. Yes, MM is an alien but I would be lying if it is starting to get a bit old by now.

We need more Mugello and Catalunya type races. By that I mean races! Marquez did have to work at the start but did anyone think Dani would get him? I don't mind him winning if it is a last lap battle for the win, heart in mouth stuff.
Although the racing in wsbk is just as if not more boring now; they have more people winning but after 5 laps it's just single file.

Even though he had already agreed to stay at Ducati. I wonder who he'll sign for next month. Also, Ianone is taking the factory bike, deservedly so in my opinion.

Wow, I did not see that coming! Wonder where that leaves Bradl; he's been solid if unspectacular and doesn't deserve an open class bike.

Think LCR got a lucrative sponsor offer, so might be able to run 2 bikes.

But then there are rumours Jonathan Rea would get that bike.....
