crash.com also hinting that Bradl is out, with Forward Racing, Aprilia or Pramac the likely destination....

Well, Bradl signs for Forward Yamaha. Suppose that is better than Pramac at least :ouch:.

Jack Miller is expected to skip Moto2 entirely next year and graduate straight into MotoGP, riding a customer Honda run by LCR.

I heard that as well but assumed the deal was off when Crutchlow took Bradl's bike, when you say customer do you mean the same bike as Cal or scrap with super soft tyres?

It's been suggested that LCR would do as Gresini have in the past, and run one bike in each class. Crutchlow would get the Factory bike, and Miller the Open-class variant. It's also been suggested that Miller's bike would be run in the same livery as the factory Hondas.

Marquez 10 out of 10.
Fact or opinion? Either way, I agree.

Apparently Crutchlow's LCR bike will be identical to the Repsols; not sure I completely believe that will be the case for all of the season but I hope it is. Would be great to see the same for Redding at Gresini.

It's the same with Bradl this year. Bautista has the same engine but different brakes (Nissin instead of Brembo) and suspension (Showa instead of Ohlins).

Fact, lol. I mean he has won all 10 races so far.
Riders make a lot of difference in MotoGP, because they risk their physique a lot. Its very different from car racing.
Give marquez the LCR Honda and he would probably win most of the races aswell. Give Bradl the Repsol Honda and he would probably struggle to get into the podium.

I think the Yamahas were just as good as the Hondas on Sunday but Marquez was probably the most patient of the podium finishers and once he got ahead he was comfortable, he must like the US because he hasn't lost a race there since 2010 (Indy 2011, Indy 2012, COTA 2013, Indy 2013, Laguna 2013, COTA 2014, Indy 2014). At the moment I think Lorenzo (at his very best) is the only rider that can beat him in a fair fight.

EDIT: Another amazing stat, Stoner won 45 races across all 3 classes up to the point when he retired at 27 years of age and Marquez is already on 42 wins.

Indeed it does. Never heard of it? Don't worry, since it doesn't exist! It's first gp will be in 2015 however that will probably still be at Silverstone because it won't be completed until 2016. They call this time of year silly season for a reason. :)

Why must new tracks be announced on the schedule before they're even finished? I seem to recall the Korean GP track being barely complete once F1 cars rolled in. Or alternatively, why is the building of those tracks left for so late?

I'm not so sure about Silverstone, I read something about Donnington Park returning...

I'm all for that, standing at the craner curves watching the bikes come down the hill is about as good as it gets in Britain.

The simple reason would be that Silverstones contract runs out this year and Circuit of Wales wanted to get the deal before Silverstone renewed for a few years. Just my first thought though.

Because they are extremely expensive projects - we're talking hundreds of millions of dollars here. Nobody is going to commit to one without the promise of a use once they are finished. And the Circuit of Wales has had some serious political obstacles to overcome, so the announcement will go a long way to thwarting any further problems.

The Korean project is a poor case study, since it was affected by the global recession and the huge hit that the Korean automotive industry took. They were given four years instead of the usual two, and I think Bernie tried to time it to coincide with an entry from Hyundai (who had openly discussed the idea), but then the recession hit and Hyundai backed down. The local government probably kept building the circuit, because the money was already in place and large infrastructure projects are an easy way to stimulate the local economy during a downturn or a recession.

I thought this would be a race where the Yamahas would fight Marquez but when the field is close he finds that extra bit of time, he'll be off by the time Lorenzo, Rossi and Pedrosa work their way through.

maybe, but did you see rossi's start at indy??...lets hope he does the same, and with the laptimes so close this time and rossi's tyres hold up futher then lap 10...who knows...

But your right ,i also think MM will winn again...but one can hope and dream no??.... ;-)

Spy.

Well it had to happen eventually, better luck next year, Marc :) hats off to Dani!
That moto 3 race though, I feel for Gueverra being 1.9 off the win and no points!

Feel for Rins celebrating across the line thinking he had won, when there was still a lap left to go. The poor guy.

Just when you think he's unbeatable 3 riders come along and beat him, you could see he was really struggling though and he ran wide multiple times.

Wouldn't have been so bad in Moto2/MotoGP but slowing down just a bit meant he finished 9th and that was after making up some places, I have to admit I laughed.

Surely you keep going until you see a guy waving a flag? Apparently it was the team's fault so I can feel for him a bit.

EDIT: Look at this: http://www.gpone.com/2014081914507/Marquez-oltre-la-fisica-la-sequenza-completa.html Look in awe!

Am I wrong in thinking there's a race for MotoGP this weekend? I turned on Fox Sports 1, which had a banner of British GP, but they're showing the Czech GP instead...

Silverstone MotoGP this weekend, quali was great as usual at Silverstone even Rossi was getting sideways over the kerbs.
