Don't whinge, get on with it. He looks like a tool whilst Marquez is walking it.It was somewhat justified. He was baulked by a slower rider who was sitting on the racing line. It probably wasn't too appropriate for the reporter to approach him straight away like that, though.
Aleix, too. That was a bone-headed move from Bradl; he came from way too far back and clearly didn't have full control of the bike.Pretty sad for Pol and Cal to bin it so close to podium finishes, that asymmetric tyre looks very sensitive to track temps.
Marquez was having the same problem with the asymmetric tyre. All of the falls have come at the right-handers, though they've mostly been limited to Turn 4. I'm guessing that if an angle was available, we'd see the same thing as happened to Pol - lock the front wheel and cock the rear just as he shifted weight.Marquez is an alien, but he is a bit of a light switch - win by a mile or send it down the road.
Because of last year's farce, where riders were forced to make a mandatory bike swap mid-race because the tyres wouldn't last race distance, Bridgestone developed an asymmetric tyre to last the distance. It was more durable on the right side and had more grip on the left, but a side effect was that it brought a sudden change in grip levels going around Turns 4 and 10. The net result was a lot of riders having trouble in those corners all weekend. What's this talk of a asymmetrical tire? Is that the possible cause of all these slides? I heard, obviously, the tires were updated to last the distance here, but nothing more.
Speaking of pro-Australia commentary...And am I the only one annoyed at the ridiculously pro-Australia commentary from Channel 10?
Great racing in all classes. Pity Kent took out Binder in M3 though.
Come on Marquez, he was absolutely flawless for the first half of the season and now he's making a habit of crashing in the races but I suppose Aragon was inevitable and the exit of Lukey Heights is always tricky to get right.
It's just disappointing to see him binning it so often after doing so well, he matched Doohan's 10 but I think Agostini had about 40 something whilst riding in 2 classes at the same time.Marc still pretty much has the championship in the bag though. And didn't he break the record for consecutive wins this season as well?
Speaking of pro-Australia commentary...
Marquez becomes the first rider to ever achieve 13 poles in one season in the premier class.
Meh, it was "Team Espana" vs Miller, so I forgive him. Add in Rins playing tail gunner and Marquez did the bare minimum IMO. I think Alex will be another Terol in Moto2.Alex Marquez is being allowed to ride a full factory Honda today. Lucky boy. I thought he fully deserved the title yesterday after he dealt with Miller and Antonelli doing their best to knock him off.
Alex is only 18, Terol was in Moto3/125 for ages and was in his mid 20s by the time he eventually won the title.Meh, it was "Team Espana" vs Miller, so I forgive him. Add in Rins playing tail gunner and Marquez did the bare minimum IMO. I think Alex will be another Terol in Moto2.
Edit: Old man Melandri back on the MotoGP grid with Aprillia
