1.) Repsol Honda (Pedrosa and Marquez) supposedly have the strongest bikes, but not evident today!

3.) Most tracks are very exciting. The one we've just raced on (Qatar) is one of my favourites. Other great and exciting circuits in my opinion include Jerez (Spain), Mugello (Italy), Assen (Netherlands), Sachsenring (Germany) and Silverstone (Great Britain).

1)Marquez has ****ed up it at the start, but for me it seems he had the pace to compete for victory whitout that mistake,Pedrosa suffering again with pumped up arms :(.
I am surprised about the racing performance of the Ducati's,hope they can compete the whole season with the Yamaha's and the Repsol Honda's.

3)I would like to add Aragon ;),also I don't like the Qatar one.

I'd suspect someone from one of the Open Honda's, it's probably too big a jump for a WSBK or lower class punt.

That's a choice between Abraham, Miller, Laverty or Hayden. Not exactly spoiler for choice, are they? Of the four, Miller is the only one with potential, but he needs time.

I'd be inclined to look at Moto2 myself. Esteve Rabat could probably cut it. Maybe Thomas Luthi, but he'd probably need a season on an Open bike. And then there's Alex Marquez or Alex Rins, but it would be easy to get carried away with them.

It's more likely that they'll look to their test riders the way Ducati did to draft Michele Pirro in last year.

Alex Marquez would be like Jack miller only with significantly less seat time on MotoGP machinery.

Safest bet would be a test rider, Factory Moto GP teams don't tend to pick New talent to cover injured riders.

This is why I thought stoner initially, having tested for Honda last season a few times. But yeah I guess Aoyama, Miller, Redding maybe would be more likely.

Stoner would be the logical option if he wanted to race, but he has made that pretty clear that he doesn't.

I thought of Bradl but he's not on an Yamaha. :indiff: Would like to see him on a better bike..

Sad to read that Gary Carwsell has died in practice for the Jurby race :(

Marquez is just unstoppable in this mode, good battle between Dovi and Rossi (Rossi was a bit naughty with a move) but decent race.

Somehow posted this in the wrong thread buuuutttt...

Yes, the mods handled it and moved it from the looks of things after the user mentioned his thread blindness ;)

A bit more about Gary Carswell, also a lot of tributes on the Manx Radio Facebook page.

To me it's these riders who are the real heroes; they get the closest to the professional machinery/speeds of any "amateur" racers in any motorsport.

I don't think I've ever seen anything like that before. Sprinting 200 yards in leathers would be difficult enough but to pull off a lap that fast on his second bike is astonishing.
Another thing I've never seen before is a moto 3 race won by so much in the dry; Kent was in a different time zone by the end, which from a British point of view is absolutely fine. :P

I'm watching the Le Mans 24H, I'd like to see the bikes run on the full circuit. Would the bikes run any closer if the straights came into play?

I think that would be as dangerous as the TT.

Trust, I thought about blow outs and wet weather, bumps and corner approaches. I don't know if it is the crouching for longer distances(I'm not a motorcycle racer), will cause accelerated fatigue or close drafting, but it might look more exciting. Bugatti is cool for the short races. The full circuit is wider than the TT with no blind corners or stone walls to collect. Plus there are runoff areas

Derp. Missed MotoGP because I thought it would start at 22:00 here. Tuned in to see the winner take the flag.

Derp.
