Dumb question but would Gordon want a caution after he pits or is he better if rest of race goes caution free?

I would think he needs a caution.

The 3 has to pit around lap 54 - 55 to make the end on 1 stop.

No thanks, let the drivers learn to control their cars. They already get a 5.00 mph buffer before they are penalized.

So when your favorite driver loses because of a speeding penalty you're cool with that 100% of the time? Or the driver that's the class of the field that day?

I just like having fewer off-track variables deciding race outcomes.

99 times out of 100 pit road speeding penalties are the driver's fault. I have no issue with this.

Yes, would I be upset if Gordon lost because of a speeding penalty, absolutely, but it's on him to not speed

#3 topped off the tank, is 2 laps short and saving fuel always.

Richard says top off after the green

I don't give a damn if it's my favorite driver or not. Drivers I like and the fastest cars in the race lose to dumb luck very frequently. In this case, I think not having a speed limiter should benefit the better drivers more often than not.

If you get so greedy that you get busted for going 5.001 mph or more over, you deserve it.

For guys like Hamlin that get busted for speeding all the time, his crew chief should set his warning lights to make it look like +4.750 mph is too fast. It's all part of the race strategy.

Okay, what about putting actual speedometers in the cars? Calibrate them by GPS and beam the reading to NASCAR in real time so drivers and officials are on the same page.
