Larson seems like a guy that should have won a long time ago. I have often wondered if the change to lower horsepower by about 175hp two years ago really affected drivers like Larson, Stewart, and Kahne. Their declines lined up perfectly with the decrease in power for the Cup cars.

I'm very happy to see Larson get a win as well as Elliott getting second.

It's also the first win for Ganassi since 2013 and the first win for the #42 since 2010.

Congrats to Larson finally getting his first win. 👍 And another nice run by that "terrible" driver, Elliott. I don't care if he's in top of the line equipment. Give the young man his due! The only teammate that's been out running him (and not by much) is some guy with 6 championships...

Bowman was having a nice run too. Would have been a good day overall for HMS if he didn't end up with an engine issue.

I don't see how the #88 would ever stay in the top 30 in points if he keeps running in the top 5.

I have a feeling that Chris Buescher might actually not make the Chase. Yes, he's 7 points to the good, but if he has another mechanical failure or a bad run and David Ragan pulls ahead, then so much for the Cinderella story.

Had a great time at the track this weekend. Seen a lot of old friends and a lot of people that I used to work with at Roush Racing back in the day. Since I have lived in and around the area my whole life, it was like I was running into someone I knew or worked with every 5 minutes. Even ran into Roger Penske who I have known since I was a little boy back when he used to own MIS. The race itself was pretty good and glad to see the kid get his first victory. The most oddest thing though was when I got a text from home (about 25 miles away) saying they were under a tornado warning. I was like wow, its sun shining here and not raining at all. Anyways, it was the first time in a while that I had actually camped in the camping gounds and I gotta say, I saw more "T&A" there than I ever have in any strip bar , what a wild time and definitely looking forward to doing it again sometime. Again, congrats to Kyle on his first win and thanks to the rest of my hero's and friends for the entertainment and good time, it was a blast.

Don't forget that the other FRM car, the 38, can always have a different driver the last few races so that aspect can be completely taken out of it

Can't believe this thread went a day and a half without a post, but...

All on track activities at Darlington have been cancelled for tomorrow, including qualifying, due to the incoming tropical storm/hurricane. Harvick is on pole via points. The rest of the weekend looks good to go. 👍

Sucks. They are supposed to give an updated schedule sometime tomorrow. I hope they can at least get a practice in.

It doesn't surprise me that he is missing the remainder of the season. However, it does surprise me that he is the only one constantly getting concussions when compared to other drivers. Is it possible that, like his father, he is using something different in the seat that leaves him susceptible to concussions?

Very possible.
