That should've gone to Custer, no doubt about it. The shove Nemecheck was a bit excessive.

I was hoping Cole'd give him a DDT. He had the speed for it. That was a screw job, he pinned him against the wall to keep him from winning. It may not be penalized, but he will it back, and IIRC he's on a few driver's hit list so his chase may be over already.

Well folks, NASCAR has basically just sent this message: "Race like a jackass and you won't be penelized"

And this punk wonders why he has no sponsors. I guess he feels he has to live up to the family name. No bigger lowlifes in NASCAR than the Nemecheks

Just saw the finish on Twitter. Extremely disappointed in what I saw. That looked like a move someone would do in a Gran Turismo 6 quick match race.

Edit:

So Twitter is officially savage city today.

Someone might want to get the fire extinguisher.

Woah! Somebody put Custer on the list for "Possible NFL Talents." That was a heck of a tackle he layed on JHN.

Anyone got a video of the incident itself? Would like to see how it played out.

I seem to remember an incident with a certian Chase Elliott doing something not completely dissimilar from what I've read here. Yet he's now driving the 24, is he not?

EDIT: Just saw the video. The first bump was fine. Running someone off the track was WAY to much. If they parked Kenseth last year for what he did, this should be no different. Beating and banging in NASCAR is bound to happen, but this was over the line.

Makes Keselowski and Logano look clean in comparison.

That was the dirtiest move ive seen in a long time. Its not like Custer races like that. He races with respect. JHN is as bad as Logano in my book.

I'd say worse for the fact that he ran him off the track into the wall (Mistake number 1) and kept him in the wall, even past the start finish line and endangering the TV crew (mistake number 2)

The two bumps he made in the penultimate and final corners, thats fair game, but that bodyslam into the concrete, mind you no tires or SAFER barrier there, was the dirtiest thing ive ever seen. Its not like Custer has wrecked JHN or there was a rivalry, JHN just decided it was a video game and totaled Custer. Absolutely embarassing.

Exactly. Guess we should've seen it coming though since one of the restarts, he ran Cole off the track coming out of Turn 1.

It's good but the number font doesn't do it for me.
It would have looked a lot better had they copied the Ricky Rudd #10 car instead of the Ricky Craven #32 car, even if Craven had one of the most famous ever wins at this track.
