And Arsenal were leading too, plus they haven't won an away game in 2018 and its mid-April, six straight away League defeats in a row.

A Rangers team that literally cheered when they got Celtic in the cup got stuffed 4-0, going on 12-0 essentially.

Fantastic final ahead, Celtic v Motherwell. The Steelmen are phenomenal in cup competitions.

Yeah, you'll know you've been in a game after the final.

So then, we just lost 0-1 at home to West Brom, the leagues bottom team.

Congrats to Man City on winning the title.

Congratulations City. Well deserved. Been by far the best side over the season.

United... losing at home to West Brom... WTF?

Last July I got to see Manchester City play an exhibition match against Tottenham in the International Champions Cup in Nashville, TN. They beat Spurs 3-0 that day and it could have been 6-0 if they didn't miss a few chip shots. I know you can't really tell anything from exhibitions but City destroyed Tottenham that day.

So for my first ever professional football match I can say that I got to see the future champions of The Premier League. Congratulations City.

Shame City have won the title becuase we didn't win today, although it was pretty much inevitable that the title was theirs either way. I hate to say it, but over the course of the sesason City deserve to be champions, they've had a bit of luck but played some fantastic football to get there.

PSG also predictably won the French league again tonight as well.

No, I said who else.
You said who else bought a title. Which means you spend a buttload of cash on players, to win a title and gain glory hunting fans. So yeah PSG DID BUY A TITLE this season .

That's not his question though. He's saying "Man City and PSG bought a title, which other teams have?"...

Sorry didnt read that. Anyway, where do barca stand on this then? They sold Neymar for 200 then bought over 300 mil of players. Not the same but similar in their 2 horse race.

Often heard armchair suggestion:
"Give the FA Cup winner a Champions League spot"

Crazy suggestion:
Why not have a competition where the winners of the continent's domestic cup competitions play each other?
You might call it something groundbreaking and never-before-seen like the Cup Winners' Cup...

The CWC was discontinued after 1998/99 and absorbed into the UEFA Cup instead.

Worth bringing back? The Europa League is gash; rewarding "big" teams for finishing 5th-7th and teams who fail in the top Champions League competition.

Finished West Ham 1-1 Stoke earlier, an often tight cagey affair interrupted by goals from Crouch and Carroll who both came off the bench, the teams surrounding these two in the league will be pretty happy with that result.

Finished Brighton 1-1 Spurs tonight, both goals came in the second half via Kane and a penalty by Gross, Spurs did rest a few players ahead of the Cup semi final v United on Saturday, no doubt a good point for Brighton who edge closer to survival.

Interesting news day today

this was announced earlier....De Gea, Walker, Otamendi, Vertonghen, Alonso, D Silva, De Bruyne, Eriksen, Aguero, Kane, Salah. the is the PFA Premier League team of the season, very attacking team with five City players, De Gea there for the fourth season in a row.

The FA, Premier League and EFL have agreed in principle to have a winter break in the season, it would happen in January and February 2020, PL fixtures will be split in to two weeks allowing clubs to have a week off, FA Cup fifth round will be moved to midweek with no replays and clubs will be allowed to travel abroad for warm weather training during the break

Joey Barton is one of the biggest clowns in football. Legitimately embarrassed himself in the SPFL of all places within months. The funniest moments including getting nuttmegged in the first 30 mins of his Rangers career and Taylor killing him at Rugby Park.

United beat Bournemouth 0-2 earlier, nice comfortable win, Smalling and Lukaku with the goals, Jose made seven changes from Sunday's embarrassment
