Nooo I posted that at 11.32pm on Monday night, meaning tomorrow would have been today, cant see what's wrong there.

Anyway two massive games to come.

Bayern are missing a few big players through injury. Boateng, Vidal and Robben to name but a few.

Bayern did absolutely deserve a better result, but in the end they were unlucky and in some instances not good enough.
Also, Keylor was godlike today!

Real Madrid to the 3rd final in 3 years, and 4th in 5 years.

Really looking forward to the Roma - Liverpool match tomorrow. Should be just as entertaining.

Should be a cracker of a game tonight, but I hope it is not marred by the kind of violence that reared its ugly head in the first leg.

I'll probably watch it on my tablet rather than going to the pub to watch it, but I do believe that Liverpool will make it and could have a good shot at Real Madrid, whose defensive frailties may be their undoing.

But even a three goal cushion is no guarantee of anything, and I won't be at all surprised if Liverpool go 2-0 down and face a nerve-wracking remainder of the game - however a single Liverpool goal will really take the pressure off.

Rome were away from home, got their tactics wrong in the first leg and were destroyed but fortunately got an away goal which keeps them somewhat in the tie. All they have to do is win 3-0 at home and they go through even though no-one is expecting them to be able to do that.

Oh wait, am I talking about the Barcelona tie or the Liverpool one tonight...?

Yeah, Roma isn't the one going to Kiev.

edit.

2 penalties for Roma that they didn't get. tssk tssk.

Edit2

Talk about a pity penalty. Jebus. What an horrible referee.

This game made me think about that Chelsea vs Barcelona where Chelsea was robbed of 4 penalties.

I like to watch football games and wasn't cheering for any team in particular, so it's really infuriating to see this scam. FIFA needs the video-ref to avoid this stupid results.

Roma clearly robbed.

Roma robbed?

Dodgey penalty in the 1st leg, dodgey penalty in the 2nd leg... **** that.

Fully deserved.

Bring on number 6.

Roma robbed?

Robbed of 2 penalties. Clear penalties, but Liverpool deserves to go on, based on the first game and first half of this game. And I think Liverpool has a much better shot against Real, provided that they can bring their A game, and not play like today.

Only Liverpool could blow a 5-0 lead and still qualify 7-6. The "We'll score more goals than you" ethos has gotten them to the final, to be fair.

Two excellent semi finals. Both were highly enjoyable.

Well, are you implying none of those were penalties? Seriously? lol
Also, in the 3rd goal from the first leg, Salah is offside when he gets the ball.

Liverpool plays great football and is more enjoyable to watch. But I'm being objective. If you count the mistakes from the referees, Roma was obviously penalized. One goal from the first leg was scored when Salah is offside and 2 clear penalties were not given to Roma in the second leg.

You're british so I'm not expecting you to agree.

Great game to watch again, probably deserved for Liverpool over the two legs so congrats to them.

Sorry, but you can't just pick out the decisions that went against Roma, and ignore the decisions that went their way, and the ones that went against us.

Roma were awarded 2 penalties that were never penalties - the one against Milner in the 1st leg, and the truly ridiculous one given against Klaven last night. And Mane should have had a penalty early in last nights game for a blatant push in the back.

Swings and roundabouts.

We're in the final, and I quite fancy our chances of beating Real and securing number 6 :D

You're the only person I've seen saying those were not penalties.

Liverpool's defense is a disaster. They rely 100% on their attack. They need to have the ball on their feet as much as they can. RM doesn't score as much but has a better defense IMO. Will be a great game for sure.

Instead of winning a game 7-6 I can see Liverpool losing to Madrid something like 3-5. Although I would be very pleased to see them win it.

Our defense is not a disaster... might have been pre Christmas, but since VVD came in we've been very solid.

Did you watch us in the quarters, against City? Despite going a goal down in the opening minutes of the 2nd leg, and them having a ridiculous percentage of possession, we were rarely seriously threatened and came out with a 2-1 win against the run away Premier League champions. You don't do that with a rubbish defense.

Last night we were super unlucky with the 1st goal (the clearance ricochet off Milner for the own goal)... Roma didn't have a single shot on target in the 1st half. And as I said in my previous post, the 2nd half penalty against Klaven was truly ridiculous.

Given we have only 3 fit midfielders to play every game, I thought we did well last night - not out usual fast flowing football, but we did enough.

Real will be a different game - the lads will have a good 10 days rest after the last league game of the season t re-charge their batteries and come out all guns blazing.

I've seen every minute of every LFC game except one this season, and I don't look at us through rose tinted glasses... I am realistic about our strengths and weaknesses. We deserve to be where we are.

I hope, I really really do, that it will be a 2005 repeat.

One of the greatest finals I have ever seen. As neutral as I am, I was screaming for Liverpool that evening.

I just read that Liverpool are owned by Fenway Sports and LeBron James. As much as I have enjoyed watching the Kloppsicle's storming tactics play out, as a Yankee fan, go Real Madrid.

Roma shot at least once to the (right) post in the first half iirc.

When I say their defense is a disaster I'm talking in relative terms. It's not a bad defense, but it concedes too many goals when compared with the other teams in the semi or quarter finals.

Liverpool is the team with the best football in terms of spectacle. I love watch them play. I think Roma has reasons to complain about the ref though, as (at least) 1 penalty in the second game or the Liverpool goal scored preceded by offside in the first had a direct impact in the final result.

I'm still stoked to watch the final. It has everything it needs to be one of the best CL finals in recent years.

Attack Is The Most Entertaining Form Of Defence

Looking forward to a celebration of wonderfulness all in 90 minutes.

Trying not to think about it too much to reduce the stress! I'll be a nervous wreck by Saturday morning, but a few drinks leading up to the game will calm me down :D

Hopefully a great spectacle for all supporters.

Real pick exactly the same lineup as last years final, first time ever that a club has named the same team for two successive finals.

Liverpool is absolutely dominating so far, but if they don't score one quick you can bet your ass Madrid will.
