Probably, though probably not straight away. Most manufacturers like to run the engines for a while before passing them along. They want a performance advantage, but they also want to make sure it works. And each individual team is on its own engine use schedule, so they won't want to run a new power unit before they're ready to take an entirely new one.Does Haas get the upgrades as well?
God mother:censored: damn it, that Mercedes looks even better now if it weren't already one sexy F1 car...
I especially love the little Finland flag blended into the paintwork on the fin.
There are rules that govern liveries. Both cars must run an identical design. If the flag was much bigger, they would run the risk of having different liveries.I wish they used more of the shark fin though instead of that tiny bit that sticks out.
No, it's to stop smaller teams from setting up a carousel of pay drivers and constantly revising the livery. That's stupid. We all know who the silver car is.
The 4 drivers max rule already prevents that to some extent. I doubt people will ever be ok with the way it stopped us from having 2 beautiful BAR's in 1999 and instead 2 abominations. No, it's to stop smaller teams from setting up a carousel of pay drivers and constantly revising the livery.
Did you see the little youtube video they put up showing them making it? They simply took the flags and photoshopped them onto the back of an image of the car. I wish they used more of the shark fin though instead of that tiny bit that sticks out. The whole thing should be the flag with the numbers standing out, maybe 20% larger too.
Meaning? It's hardly different from China or, it's soo different it's an RB14?Red Bull has shown up to the Spanish GP with... not even a B-Spec car, according to Martin Brundle.

So WTF happened to the massive update to the RB13 for this round?Hardly different from China.

A delayed April Fool's Day joke?
There is actually a substantial update - the car is pretty much what they should have started the season with. People just got carried away with talk of a b-spec car or RB14.So WTF happened to the massive update to the RB13 for this round?
The photoshop is how they designed what the decal will look like before printing and applying. They did it with the numbers making them larger and what not. I wish I could link the video but my computer sucks. There is a reason Merc opted for the size of the shark fin they did, because they think the bigger more pronounced t-wing is better. The flags aren't photoshopped onto the car, since there are current pictures showing the cars at the track with them.

There's zero need to act like that.Okay I mean so what they do that with all the stuff that gets put on the car livery wise, I've seen them do it with other parts of the car and on many teams. Like Ferrari for instance and their weird print jobs that aren't mirror image.

I can't see Fernando finishing the season with the way things are going.
Many of your posts are VERY condescending/rude in tone. It seems like you treat everyone else as an idiot/beneath yourself.
"okay I mean so what?" Was unnecessary and absolutely reads as if you're talking down to someone who had no prior knowledge of the subject.
They have a series of major updates planned throughout the season, and they have been receiving external assistance - believed to be from Mercedes, but Honda are keeping quiet on exactly who it is - with their long-term plans.I can't see Fernando finishing the season with the way things are going.

To be fair, they were - the engine at the end of 2016 was significantly better than the engine at the start of 2015. Their chassis have all looked pretty well-balanced; I know Alonso was joking about being the fastest through the corners, but if you look at the times through the second sector in Mexico - which is all corners - they weren't far off Mercedes. So McLaren still know how to build a good chassis. Once they figure out how to make the engine work properly, I expect they will improve almost overnight.after three years it's a bit tough to think at any point they'll get a grip on things

Maybe, but at least they're in control of their own destiny. I think Ron Dennis had a point when he said that the only way to win a championship is to establish a relationship with a new supplier. As a McLaren fan, I'd rather see them crash and burn with Honda than see them play second fiddle to the likes of Mercedes.the fear is obviously placed on the constructor and further destroying its legacy
