I noticed you put Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez. What of instead of the roadcourse, they ran the oval? (which If I remember correctly, the Mexican NASCAR series runs the oval clockwise)

Would be a cool idea for sure. I think NASCAR needs a better road course presence though.

OK, few things:

So the Ford schemes for Stewart Haas have shown up..

They look so weird

They do, but I think to me it's just the Fusion nose. I prefer the older nose over this one, it just looks...odd. Can't even really explain why.

The silver looks nice on it.

Ehhh...

I get the idea, and maybe it's just become second nature to have the yellow numbers, but if the number's drop-shadow is gonna stand out anyway, why not have it contrasting. I don't think Black w/ Yellow would look bad, but that's just me.

One more thing, why is RPM supplying GoFAS with chassis? I can't be the only one who saw that and said "What the 🤬?!" right? Unless it's purely down to cost and RPM is the cheapest Ford builders, I don't get it.

Go Fas has the 44 charter for this upcoming season. Seems the #44 will not exist this season.

I know that, and that Twister game of leases make a bit of sense. RPM supplying chassis over Roush and Penske doesn't unless it's purely a cost issue.

There's the possibility that they were in the unfavorable situation of not being able to afford a Penske Deal and the only other choice was..Roush....

Looking at it that way, it technically isn't even a choice, is it?

I'm presuming it's less RPM supplying them with new chassis and more that they sold GoFAS all of their remaining 2016 ones along with the rest of the #44 team's equipment. That way GoFAS has a turnkey operation so they can be ready for Daytona and RPM recoups some of the losses of scuttling the #44 team.

Just a guess, but it's been the case in the past and lord knows RPM needs the money.

At least Roush's chassis had good runs at short tracks and plate races. Petty was just awful this year, their first building their own chassis.
The Go FAS thing is simply part of the lease agreement with Petty, for what it's worth

TFW you realize NASCAR dosent pull out the yellow during these, but does when someone taps the wall

Exactly. And I don't wanna hear the "Oh but some debris could hav-" no....paint was scraped, some dust flew, there's no need for a bloody yellow flag.

Well, wonder what Kurt is gonna be doing here since he now basically is the car with the series sponsor. Think that's the first time that's ever happened.

And don't forget Verizon in Indycar with Penske and Tequila Patron with ESM and Weathertech with Riley in IMSA. And IIRC there was a Busch Beer car in the Busch series way back when. :P

It has happen before, Jimmy Spencer drove a Winston sponsor car during the late 90s.
I was going to mention Spencer being sponsored by Camel cigarettes (Smokin Joe's Racing), since both Camel and Winston branded cigarettes were owned by RJ Reynolds Tobacco company. I had totally forgotten that they actually put Winston on the car for a few races.

Good thing I said "I think" then ;)

I honestly forgot there actually was a Winston sponsored car in the Cup series.
