Great seeing Dodge showing interest again. As far as Audi and BMW I don`t see it every happening until NASCAR has hybrid engines.

Matt Dibeneditto has left BK Racing. I've heard he was behind on pay because it's BK and that's what they do.

I don't believe so. However, I think Bowmen won a pole (either New Hampshire or Pheonix)
He did at Phoenix, so I'm gonna assume (dangerous, I know) that it's a little bonus for him. He earned it, he's not in another car, aside from getting Jr back up to speed before the Duels, why not let Alex wheel it.

From Jayski:

"Ragan will not return to BK Racing: BK Racing and driver #23-David Ragan have parted ways. The news comes one day after team owner Ron Devine announced Matt DiBenedetto would no longer continue with the organization. "BK Racing is in the process of trying to restructure the company," Devine told Motorsport.com. "Our finishes of 33rd and 35th in the standings, did not achieve our goals. We had a one-year agreement with David Ragan that has since expired and we have elected not to renew his contract." Devine expects to maintain two teams in 2017 with a variety of drivers to be named."

"Variety of drivers", eh? That's a confidence inspiring statement.

Maybe if they were smart they'd buy cars that Furniture Row are done with or buy direct from Gibbs. Maybe then their drivers would get results that the team actually wants. Lord only knows but I bet they're still running some of the first Gen 6 Toyotas ever produced.

They purchased MWR's equipment when they closed so their cars aren't that old. It would help if they used TRD engines though.

They act as if it's the drivers and not the equipment.

Ragan's at least decent. I remember him running well when he was a fill-in for Busch in the #18. That was top teir equipment, though.

DiBurrito finished 6th at Bristol this year, in this sub-par equipment. Can't really say much about him other than that. I have a feeling he may take up an Xfinity car in the near future.

Dibenedetto or however you spell it races Xfinity on a pretty regular basis or at least did in 2015 but was always in last place several laps down. I like both Ragan and Di-whatever-O and hope for the best for the 2. I bet BK picks up Mears.

As long as the number of races on the schedule doesn't increase, this is okay. People might consider watching Indy during the week because their weekend time is more valuable than that.

They want the sport to appeal to a younger crowd, while also considering having the races run while this younger crowd is in school or work?:confused: I don't see the logic behind this...

I don`t see how midweek races would help attendance and interest. I think NASCAR needs to look at the tracks on the schedule. They need to stop going to certain tracks twice and add other venues. This would be my dream schedule. It is important to realize that NASCAR will never cut a race from Pocono and Dover because of their relationship so I am making a realistic list of tracks. I also don`t believe they will cut a 2nd race from any ISC owned track. Here`s my dream schedule, it is not in any particular order just the list of tracks.

Ovals

- Bristol
- Keep the Night Race and try to sell it out for one race.
- Martinsville / Twice
- New Hampshire - Really dislike this track, they don`t need to go there twice. Poor racing and poor ratings.
- Kansas / Twice
- Pocono / Twice - Sticking to twice here because attendance is fairly good for both dates. Also privately owned.
- Chicagoland
- Darlington

- Daytona / Twice
- Talladega / Twice
- Dover - Attendance is poor for both dates, making it one race may pack the house and keep it in the Chase.
- Phoenix / Twice
- Homestead
- Las Vegas
- Auto Club
- Michigan
/ Twice
- Richmond / Twice
- Atlanta
- Texas
/ Twice
- Kentucky
- Charlotte
/ Twice
- Iowa - Awesome layout and I think this would be a big hit. Not tons of seats but the TV ratings are the most important part

Road Courses

- Watkins Glen
- Sonoma
- Road America
- This race would draw over 150,000 people easily.
- Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez - With Mexican interest in NASCAR growing I think the race would be a massive hit
- Indianapolis Grand Prix Course - Being a massive IndyCar and NASCAR fan it sucks seeing the Brickyard fall to the level that it has over the course of the past few seasons. I think their only shot is run on the road course. Especially since NASCAR racing on road courses is in my opinion the best racing there is.
