Did you actually READ that press release or are you complaining just because it seems like a side you want to be one?
No I didn't read it before I posted but I probably should of. I can see the point of not wanting to be labeled as just another "cookie-cutter" track. And if they think it will make the racing better, let them try it.

This looks gorgeous

Kyle got loose but Jr. Fans still thought he wrecked him on purpose.

He did wreck him, it was pretty obvious. The wreck that Junior seemingly caused later that year on Busch was not Juniors fault...plenty of video to review if you have a cloudy memory. Though I will agree it was never all that big of a deal other than that year, and it long has blown over that much could be said about a nine year old incident.

Your first idea is better, I kinda miss Nashville apart from Kyle and Carl winning everything. Concrete is a very under-used paving medium especially in racing. It generally doesn't get potholes in it, it wouldn't get ridiculous waves in it like Atlanta and Texas are known to have, and Asphalt is getting more expensive like gas because the bitumen used to make the tar is a gasoline byproduct and refineries are becoming very efficient at making gasoline leaving less bitumen for paving.
NASCAR was scared off by the concrete coming up at Martinsville, plus not too many tracks are being built today due to lack of interest. Doubtful they'd repave an asphalt track with concrete

Right, I forgot when I made that post who exactly we're dealing with here (Bruton and the Frances). The reason it would have come up at Martinsville is because there's still asphalt and the minor differences in the transition (due to the asphalt sinking slightly) allowed the edge to get beaten to a pulp until it gave way. Further to my point in a way, how long has Bristol been concrete? Sure it has been shaved and ruined by Smith but I'm pretty sure it's still the same surface that got put down in the changeover. Same can be said of Dover I think, I can't recall the concrete ever having to be redone there either ever since that went down too.

I hold out small hope under a heavy layer of expectations of stupidity and disappointment.

In other news, Circle Sport and TRG are now acting as one unit. Technically, TRG is supporting Circle Sport, there is a chance both the 33 and 30 could run at certain races. Nothing said about Gaulding though.

I thought they were just LFR now...

For anyone interested, the official NASCAR Channel on youtube actually streamed all of the races on the channel. So for those that do not have NBCSN or Fox Sports (FS1/FS2) on their provider, there's your alternative (assuming your internet isn't spudtacular)

Think those two are still separate (with LFR now getting support from RCR).

Really, they use to be Circle Sport- LFR, and I haven't seen the Circle Sport name in some time. Unless this is the Hillman team we're talking about...

Clearly you can see the confusion in trying to keep up with middle field to back marker teams.

I certainly can. Its right up there with trying to remember what team used to be this team, who used to be this team in F1.

I feel that's more easy to do cause it doesn't change as often, it's difficult to put to memory when you first start. NASCAR teams seem to group up or change hands all to frequently.

Any changes in NASCAR other than the NASCAR logo, Monster title sponsorship, Dale Jr back in a car, Danica's new spandex line? I haven't followed the series in years.

Stewart Haas has switched to Ford.

Wait, when did that happen? WHY did that happen?

Ford are getting fed up with Roush-Yates getting their buts handed to them by Team Penske & the Wood Brothers each week and possibly want the "Works/Leading Team" status to shift to Penske and/or SHR. One big reason why SHR went to Fords is that they'll be allowed to build their own engines & chassis like Penske does.

I knew that one. Who thought it was a good idea to give Danica a clothing line?

Tree'd. Thanks @Northstar

Odd to see him in a white suit. So used to black or dark red, but it's good to see him look like he's enjoying it again.

For those who watch the truck series, the F-150s are getting a redesign. Of you don't like the current one, you'll probably hate the new one.

He was asking when Danica got her clothing line. :P Also, both Penske and SHR use RYR engines.

From my understanding, though both Penske & SHR use Roush-Yates engines, they're tuned very differently and feature unique parts & pieces compared to Roush-Yates "Factory" engines or even the "Customer" Ford teams' equipment, but I could be wrong...

I do know that the carrot of being able to modify engines as well as build chassis are why Penske & SHR switched to Fords though.

As long as it looks less a like a poor attempt at copying the Ram AND Tundra, I'm fine with it.
