I really hope AXR sticks with this livery all year.

I may have found a way to view the IMSA stream without paying for a VPN. I will obviously have to wait and see, but hopefully it works.

Heck, I wish most teams would keep liveries longer. It's tough to become iconic and legendary when you have ADHD like the Shank cars.

It's kind of a "damned if you do, damned if you don't" situation. Change it all the time and people will complain about not sticking to a livery. And if you do stick to a livery they complain that it's boring. At the end of the day you might as well do what makes you happy.

Granted I will say it can get annoying when they do it every race like Shank has done before as it makes it rather hard to follow their progress during a race.

Speaking of liveries, one day I hope to see the iconic Martini decals back with sportscar racing. It doesn't really work on the Williams F1 car.

I wish they would put the roar on tv, don't they realize we are all suffering from withdrawal symptoms, I am getting tired of old races on youtube!
Nope they probably can't make room in the TV lineup somewhere with these top priority UFC fight reruns from 2 years ago or MonsterJam, or women's frisbee or ice fishing. It would be nice for them to stream it atleast.

They have the cameras there, so it seems odd to not have at least a live stream with a few cameras. Kind of like what they do for the overnight portion of the race.

So, question: are there any BOP adjustments following the Roar - or is it simply testing prior to the race? I know they're discussing the usual sandbagging, etc...but is that just for tricking other teams, or are they trying to massage the BOP expectations, etc?

The only thing I've seen of concern is the M8 GTE's from BMW being well and truly far off the pace. I was expecting more from them. If they remain 2-2.5 seconds off the pace it'll be a long and painful 24 hours.

I'm pretty sure we've seen some BoP adjustments after the roar in the past so I wouldn't be surprised.

Caddy's need to be slowed down in P and hopefully something can be done to level out the LMP2 cars. Orecas are dominating the rest...

The Oreca proved last year it was by far and away the best LMP2 in WEC and here too sort of. It's just a better developed chassis plain and simple. I'd hope they leave it because the P2 manufacturers are allowed 1 update and Multimatic used theirs to help Mazda, not sure of word on the Ligier or Dallara yet.

It looked all black from that angle but then saw it from this shot and that color and scheme looks really good

Wanna bet it gets replaced halfway through with a "patriotic" livery and the team forgets to switch the wrap back

That #71 Merc reminds me of the Eva racing one from the Super GT series. I fact, I wish that team and Goodsmile/Hatsune Miku Racing could one day do the Rolex 24 and/or Sebring one day. Their presence would be greatly welcomed.

Whoa there, Monster trucks are probably one of the best forms of motorsport out there now, behind sports car racing and ahead of short course off road truck racing. The rest of them could die in a fire though.

Couldn't help but chuckle at some of the comments I saw on SC365's Facebook comments regarding SDR actually being competitive with a Caddy. I found it funny that most of the comments were saying the usual NASCAR Jr or "the Frances have to protect GM" or "GM pays off IMSA to win" but not a single person said a word about the fact that SDR ran the worst prototype by a mile for half a season, that they actually won a race with a P2 last year, and also that GM was the only organazation (DPi or otherwise) ready for the first half of the season.

Also, a couple cars got parked last night after they were alleged to be sandbagging during testing.

OMG I'm so excited to see the return of the Red Dragon!!!! I still remember the crash, and am still amazed Memo Gidley survived. I thought I couldn't get anymore excited for this season when they announced that dangerous waste of space PC class was finally going away, and yet here we are!

Nice to see the Spirit of Daytona back with GM. It just didn't look right before.

A class act! I'll miss Scott being out there. It's kinda disappointing he didn't get to challenge for the (Daytona 24) overall win record in recent years, but, of course, time catches up with us all eventually. At least he gets to go out with his health and on his own terms. Can't really ask for much more than that.

I've officially purchased my Road America ticket (and a campsite in the carousel fairly close to the track), should be fun! I'm happy to see they now allow you to stay until Monday as I don't recall that being an option when I went in 2015.

Road America is so fantastic - one of the very best venues you can go to in the US. If I had the money/time to travel, that'd be my "away" race of choice.

As much as I hate not living closer to more major tracks, I can take solace in the fact that the one that is relatively close to me happens to be one of the best. I know they've been making improvements too so I'm interested in seeing what's changed since than.

I'm going to have to get some practice taking photos though as I bought a DSLR a couple years ago but never got the chance to practice on race cars.
