Rewatched last years race from Long Beach tonight because I had nothing better to do.

Saw the driver of the #96 Turner BMW get out of the car and give a pose that said "I know what you did, and I'm not happy about it."

Can't wait for 2018 to get underway!

Also, I think I asked this last year, but are privateer teams using the 2017 911 RSR now?

In the WEC and ELMS yes, but in IMSA we have just the two works Porsches still.
I've officially purchased my Road America ticket (and a campsite in the carousel fairly close to the track), should be fun! I'm happy to see they now allow you to stay until Monday as I don't recall that being an option when I went in 2015.
Noon Monday at Watkins Glen, as we were told by security last year. ;)

I surely look forward to all the sportscar racing in this fine series. I also will enjoy seeing the incredibly fascinating cars and the talented drivers that make sportscar racing so great to watch. Going to be another interesting season.

Oh yes! :D Will miss the old Turner livery, but this is a nice and classy change. Mainly very happy that Turner has found major sponsorship and funding.
Agreed! I know the Turner colors well and fondly, but getting sponsorship is great and the livery looks sharp to top it off.

I like the guy in the comment section over thinking things.

They really should let Rodney into the commentary booth, it would certainly get me to watch the Fox coverage.
IMSA could strike gold if they did series promotion using Rodney as the hype man. Those would be some of the greatest commercials ever.

My understanding is that it was simply Penske offering a ride and him not wanting to turn down the opportunity. Sounds like his dad pretty much told him to take the ride as well so there doesn’t appear to be any hard feelings.

I can understand that, for sure. I was hoping there wasn't a riff in the family and it sounds like that wasn't the case. Now who do I root for?? I wish Ricky the best, but I've been a fan of WTR since the SunTrust/Grand-Am days and Jordan is a hoot, so I think I will continue. Plus, I love to hate Montoya since his arrogant Nascar days. :D

Penske also has a handful of car dealerships - they were good to work with in Scottsdale when I got my last car. Probably a vague and very distant relation, lol.

Personally I'm happy to see Ricky/Jordan back being able to race eachother.
