 I must've missed that announcement.

From the article linked in the tweet 05XR8 posted. First I've heard about it too.
Both cars will be dressed in plain black, with Caruso’s sponsor to be announced next week – believed to be a step away from the previous Nissan Nismo branding - and Waters’ latest Monster Energy look set to be unveiled on the eve of the Adelaide 500.

Have to agree with R16, sort of do get the feeling from that. That Nissan are getting ready to step away from Supercars.

What if Nissan decide to try DJRTP? If Penske is still looking for a manufacturer, wouldn't hurt to have asked Nissan. Especially, when Nissan see how that operation works.

I'll be gobsmacked if Nissan do hang around. Why would they?

I can only see one angle for them and that's a switch to Infiniti models & turbo motors.

Interesting to see who's sponsoring Caruso now, if he doesn't have Nissan branding anymore.

Sound like step 1 in Nissan leaving for good. Hope I'm wrong.

Edit: GT Academy driver trying to get into a Super2 ride next year. Spread the word. :)

Nissan have failed with the Altima in V8 Supercars. They've done nothing, apart from being a pain. The Altima has been a commercial failure in this country, and it's time they left the series for good. In 5 years, they've only had what, 2 wins? I can't see any reason for them to stay on.

Nissan also said they would look into changing the package for 2019.

Back around this time in 2012, Nissan announced joining the series. I don't feel they can wait til midyear, to announce if they're staying or not. Does Nissan announce it when they reveal Caruso's livery? Or do they wait til Bathurst? If Caruso and Heimgartner are finishing top 5s and top 10s at the start of the season, then what?
I don't know what Kelly Racing pitched to Nissan or what Nissan saw at KR. Nissan just picked wrong and went half-assed with budget and R&D. Lesson learned. I hope they stay and switch teams.

So by the sounds of it, revolving sponsorship for Percat again?

I hope they do stay. Yeah, their time in the series has been exteremly underwhelming thus far. But this series needs manufacturer support. Right now it's only them and Holden (in an official capacity). They need other manfacturers to come and play.

When I read Holden ZB I think of a ford. I wish we could go back to the old days of racing. Still miss Brocky and can’t beleive Holden has gone :(

Don’t mind the Percat livery. Bummer that they haven’t picked up a full time sponsor again. I wonder why Coates Hire took such a step back?
The answers to your questions are all in the numbers.

I'll bet a helluva lot of sponsorship proposals are met with  & :odd: or  faces.
Just to get in a car for one round must be a scary number, never mind the naming rights partner for a whole season.

Is Penrite still the major sponsor of Reynold's ride? Red grill with the black and gold Penrite branding could be, um, interesting.

Penrite renewed late last year so no change there.

Hopefully they roll out an absolute stunner of a livery & that it isn't spoiled by Ryco's increased support.

I believe it was announced Penrite are still title sponsor. Maybe this is Pasquale's car?

Good budget wise, but the colors. How does that work?. Guess they'll keep Pye's car as the Mobil 1.

The three of those cars all look much better in motion than stationary. I actually really like Lowndes' car. The shadow cast on the back of the Red Bull cars between the two Red Bull logos messes with my eyes though, looks like a rainbow as it goes into the distance .

To me, the Altima looks newer than the ZB. However, the ZBs look much better on my big screen. Which of the ZBs will look best, once we see the reveals?

Guess Pye will be driving the white car

As for Falcons, the #230 FG X looks pretty damn good.

Good to see Coca Cola dipping a toe back in the water with some minor support.

We can only hope it grows to title sponsorship of a red Mustang one day

DJR came the closest, during the Jim Beam days. Most likely to see that livery on a TCM, MARC II or GT4 Mustang.

You know, if I was one of these wealthy 'gentleman' drivers that plays in motorsport just because they can, I'd get me a TCM Mustang & run that livery just for kicks.

All Coca Cola would have to do is supply a fridge full of battery acid, err, I mean Coke.
