I so can't wait for Kansas City to put up 60 on Buffalo next week that I'm not even going to bother watching it. The repeat of the 2008 season can't come soon enough after giving out all those fat contract extensions.
Yep, figured. Guess all there is to do now is cheer for someone in the NFC East to win the division with a 4-12 record.

...and that's why Aaron Rodgers is a Super Bowl-winning QB. We failed AGAIN- 35-20. The Houston Texans fall to 1-6 despite some late hope by the Texans. I knew the Texans had no chance of winning this one hosting the Green Bay Packers. Though, I didn't expect them to fall apart this bad or have a chance to make it closer than the final score indicates. Regardless... another Texans fail.

Up next for the Houston Texans... at the Jacksonville Jaguars in two weeks time (we're on a Bye Week next week).

Elsewhere...

* The Washington Football Team smashed the visiting Dallas Cowboys 25-3.

* The Tennessee Titans were finally bested, thanks to the Pittsburgh Steelers winning 27-24 in Nashville.

* In the battle for the Buckeye State, it was the Cleveland Browns winning 37-34 at the Cincinnati Bengals. Cincy couldn't pull the magic to win late.

Congratulations to all other winners from this week! That even includes Detroit leaving Atlanta with a game-winning touchdown. Lions be Lioning? How did your team(s) do this week?

[UPDATE/OMISSION] Included CLE at CIN results.

Not sure how in the hell the Lions are 3-3 now, but I'm still expecting them to be Lioning and end with a garbage record like normal.

Browns and Lions coming from behind to get clutch wins??? Really????

At least there is still some consistency in the world, as my Raiders got destroyed by Brady.

Gurley trying to stop himself from scoring that TD.

I'm fully expecting the Falcons to beat the Panthers next week. Panthers defense was atrocious against the Saints on third down. Juilo Jones will have a field day.

Bears at Rams TONIGHT!

The NFC is in vogue tonight in Los Angeles as the NFC North meets the NFC West. The Chicago Bears go from the Midwest to head out to SoCal. The Los Angeles Rams are ready to try to top the boys from Chi-Town. Chicago comes in at 5-1, 2nd in the NFC North; and the Los Angeles Rams are at 4-2 and 3rd in the NFC West. So we don't have two weak sauce teams tonight as the combined record of these two is 9-3. So we'll see who will come out on top at SoFi Stadium.

Enjoy tonight's action!

Never give Matt Stafford 64 seconds to win a game. If there's one thing the Lions are magnificent at, it's coming from behind at the very last minute to win a game that they should've won handily to begin with.

And to think the Lions should've beat the Bears Week 1 and they should've beat the Saints. They could be 5-1 right now instead of 3-3. Just think what they could do with a coach that isn't absolute trash.

If the 2020 NFL Season was an Among Us game, the Bears would be the imposters. All I see is a 3-3 team that got lucky against the biggest chockers in League history and well, the Lions doing what the Lions usually do under Matt Patricia: Be the Great Value version of the Falcons.

Go ahead Chicago, prove me wrong.

I have a LOT to discuss for this post, so get ready!

I think on the Big Finish of ESPN's "Pardon the Interruption," I heard the New York Jets had a total of four offensive yards in the 2nd half of their latest game. FOUR! Brutal. And elsewhere, it was the Rams who defeated the visiting Chicago Bears 24-10 last night on Monday Night Football.

Let us all embrace a new week of NFL football- Week 8! The NFL Trade Deadline is nearing. Some teams may be looking to ship off some of their talent in hopes of turning around the 2020 season at this point. But first, let me update the standings heading into Week 8. Try to find where your favorite team(s) is/are:

--- AFC (as of Oct. 27, 2020) ---
AFC EAST: Buffalo (5-2), MIA (3-3), NE (2-4), NYJ (0-7)
AFC NORTH: Pittsburgh (6-0), BAL (5-1), CLE (5-2), CIN (1-5-1)
AFC SOUTH: Tennessee (5-1), IND (4-2), HOU and JAX (1-6 each)
AFC WEST: Kansas City (6-1), LV (3-3), LAC and DEN (2-4 each)

--- NFC (as of Oct. 27, 2020) ---
NFC EAST: Philadelphia (2-4-1), WAS and DAL (2-5 each), NYG (1-6)
NFC NORTH: Green Bay (5-1), CHI (5-2), DET (3-3), MIN (1-5)
NFC SOUTH: Tampa Bay (5-2), NO (4-2), CAR (3-4), ATL (1-6)
NFC WEST: Seattle (5-1), ARI and LAR (5-2 each), SF (4-3)

There is still a long ways to go to try to improve. For teams already atop, try to stay there.

Now for this week's schedule. Here are some of the many games for this week:

* ATL Falcons at CAR Panthers (THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL)
* TEN Titans at CIN Bengals
* LV Raiders at CLE Browns
* IND Colts at DET Lions
* NYJ Jets at KC Chiefs <<< NYJ only winless team
* LAR Rams at MIA Dolphins
* PIT Steelers at BAL Ravens <<< PIT only unbeaten team
* DAL Cowboys at PHI Eagles (SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL)
* TB Buccaneers at NYG Giants (MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL)

BYE WEEK TEAMS FOR WEEK 8: Arizona, Houston, Jacksonville, and Washington

I may come back later and do an assessment of my Houston Texans so far. Or, you may assess your favorite team(s) if you like. Get psyched for Week 8!

I'm pretty sure the niners have had the worst injury luck, maybe ever? But they'd still trounce my Giants :(

Steelers/Ravens is the one to watch it looks like. Unless you hate the Jets, that'd be fun too.

Didn't the Niners ALREADY trounce your Giants?

The Jets had one decent half in that they led by double-digits. The issue is they got no real defense stops and their offense completely disappeared in the 2nd half vs. Buffalo. I will be surprised if the Jets lose by less than double-digits against the Chiefs.

They did, even with the other key players they lost this week, they'd still do it  I think we'd need 13 guys on the field to have a chance.

Lol, the Jets are going to get NUKED by KC. If I don't see 50+ points on the board by Mahomes and his crew by the end of the game I'm going to be shocked.

Because 2020 is off the rails enough as is, this'll probably be the one game the Jets win this season.

As semi-promised, I will assess my Houston Texans. And again- you can assess your team if you like. So here goes.

With a 1-6 start, the 2020 Houston Texans have been vastly disappointing. Many Houston fans wished Bill O'Brien would get canned earlier than him being fired as the Texans went to 0-4. The Texans still have Deshaun Watson even after stupidly shipping off DeAndre Hopkins to Arizona. The Texans are still simply a hot mess. It isn't exactly rebuilding, but it is far from a team that can actually compete to win a Championship. There are three things the Texans haven't yet done- (1) win the AFC Championship, (2) make it to the Super Bowl, and (3) win the Super Bowl. At best, this Texans squad can only make the playoffs if it wins the AFC Wild Card or (somehow) win the AFC South. Their November 2020 opponents are as follows: at Jacksonville, at Cleveland, vs. New England, and at Detroit (Thanksgiving). I just don't know if the Texans can actually muster up enough courage to win anything more than one game. If anything, at least beat Jacksonville because they are a conference opponent. The only remaining non-division opponents for the Texans after Detroit are at Chicago and vs. Cincinnati. The Texans will need to come up with a lot to get through 2020 and provide hope for the 2021 NFL season. Otherwise, this may end up being one of the worst seasons in Houston Texans history- other than the two season we finished 2-14.

There's my assessment. What say you if you want to make your own team assessment?

The final football game of October 2020 is tonight, as the NFC South is in vogue with the Atlanta Falcons at the Carolina Panthers. Both teams make up the bottom half of the NFC South as Atlanta is 1-6, and Carolina is 3-4.

Here in Houston, meanwhile, one Houston Texans player has tested positive for COVID-19/Coronavirus. Their facilities were closed to be sanitized. The Texans will not play this week. Their next game will be at Jacksonville on November 8th. The 2020 Houston Texans are currently 1-5.

Enjoy tonight's game if you'll be watching!

Bungles just keep on Bungling. A lead with only a minute left in the game against the Browns? That's fine, Mayfield will easily take them down the field versus the atrocious Bungles defense and score the game winning touchdown.

The Bungles could be seriously have 4 wins or more. They've been in every game this season aside from the one against the Ravens (and the Browns did take them to school the first meeting, despite the semi-close final score). I fully expect they get crushed by Tennessee tomorrow. They are already a damn good team and will be angry about their loss to Pittsburgh.

In other Bungles news, though, Carlos Dunlap got traded to the Seahawks. He was unhappy with his playing situation, even going as far as putting his house up for sale just minutes after the loss to Cleveland. Also John Ross and all his 51 career receptions is requesting a trade as well. He's a speedster but a ghost when on the field.

How do you think Joe Burrow has done so far this season, @Dolph Drago?
Considering the fact he's a rookie with cardboard cutouts "blocking" in front of him, he's been exceptional.

Edit: Found these nuggets on Wikipedia:
-First game against Cleveland: "...he attempted 61 passes, completing 37 of them for 316 yards and three touchdowns, which broke the NFL record for most completions by a rookie quarterback in a single game."
-After the games against the Jaaags: "He also became the first rookie quarterback to throw for 300 or more yards in three straight games."
-Regarding last week against the Browns: "He became the first rookie in NFL history with at least 400 passing yards, three passing touchdowns, and a rushing touchdown in a single game." All of this was with Joe Mixon out and Uzomah done for the season.

Do you love NFL football? Well, of course you do. Why would you be here if you hate it? So get ready for another Sunday of NFL action! Enjoy today's games ranging from the Noon matches all the way to the Cowboys at Eagles nightcap.

My Texans are off this week. So let me offer musings on games played so far.

* The Pittsburgh Steelers remain undefeated in their trip to Baltimore. The Steelers improve to 7-0 on the season thanks to a 28-24 victory at the Ravens.

* The Las Vegas Raiders took out the Cleveland Browns 16-6. Sad day for the Brownies.

* How did the other Ohio team do? The Cincinnati Bengals didn't Bungle today. The cats from Cincy tamed the Tennessee Titans to a 31-20 score. So the Bengals did the AFC South a favor.

* Bengals didn't Bungle, but I can't say the same for another pack of cats. It was the Detroit Lions getting tamed 41-21 to the visiting Indianapolis Colts.

* You predicted the New York Jets getting "nuked" by Kansas City this week? Well, do you consider the Chiefs winning 35-9 in Kansas City [,Missouri] as getting nuked? The J! E! T! S! Jets Jets Jets! are now 0-8.

* Long-time rivals Minnesota and Green Bay clashed today on the Frozen Tundra. With a chance to climb back, the Vikings topped the Packers 28-22. Only the second win for the Vikings.

As of the time of this post, New Orleans and Chicago are tied at 13 after a fight just broke out in Chicago. It's 8:34 left in the 3rd Quarter. Congratulations to this week's winners!

What triggered the Bears/Saints brawl? I haven't seen that kind of punching since UFC 249.

Jerome

Javon Wims punched Chauncey Gardner-Johnson twice, no idea why though.

Gardner-Johnson had poked his finger through the face mask of another Bears receiver a play or so earlier so Wims was apparently out for revenge.

Last night, it was 23-9 that the Philadelphia Eagles whacked the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday Night Football. Now...

Buccaneers at Giants TONIGHT!

We have an NFC showdown tonight in the shadow of New York City and in the state of New Jersey. It is the NFC South meeting the NFC East tonight. Tom Brady and his Buccaneers are 5-2 on the 2020 season and are currently 2nd in the NFC South. If you believe in "you are what your record is," then the New Yotk Giants stink with their 1-6 record and dead last in the NFC East. As we've seen, teams with losing records can take down teams with better records. The Giants are hoping to bring the Bucs back down to earth with a win tonight. Will it happen? Find out tonight!
