We call it the "TNT Rivalry" with the Houston Texans and Tennessee Titans. Regulation solved nothing, so Overtime had to settle this one. And the Tennessee Titans improved to 5-0 beating my Texans 42-36 in Overtime. What seemed to be a questionable call for the Texans was going for two when ahead by 7. The Texans played better in the 2nd Half, but they just couldn't suppress Derrick Henry on the Titans. The Texans are now 1-5. So the Texans are now 1-5 when most of us Houston sports fans were sad the Houston Astros didn't make the 2020 World Series. Another 🤬 weekend for Houston sports. Yay.

Up next for the Texans... back home to host the Green Bay Packers next Sunday.

Congratulations to all other winners from this week, including road wins by Detroit and Atlanta.

Jets have managed to once again, lose by multiple scores as they played flat against the Dolphins, losing 24-0. The only bright spot was an interception by S Marcus Maye who seemed to have secured it with his backside. The Jets have scored 75 total points in 6 games. That's an average of 12.5 points a game and is well behind the next most offensively challenged team.

Bungles be Bungling. Had a 21-0 lead just 4 seconds into the 2nd quarter. Proceeded to lose 31-27 in the battle of I-74 to the Colts.

The Lions looked like a competent football team today. I mean I get it's the Jags, but still.

Giants won! Whoop!

I do have to admit, it's been kind of nice only having to watch the first 15-20min. of the draft the past few years

Dolph Drago, I don't know what happened to the Cincinnati Bengals today. I mean, be up about three scores on the Indianapolis Colts at Indy... then fall apart like a badly-built car. Sucks for my Texans because it means other AFC South teams win. That had to be disappointing. It would have been cool if my Texans won while the Titans, Jaguars, and Colts all lost. But as we know... you can't always have what you want.

I'm pretty sure Green Bay will come to Houston and clobber us next weekend here in Houston after their big fail in Tampa Bay earlier today. Tampa Bay probably already still celebrating winning the AL Pennant over my Astros, so I guess it's fitting for the good sports vibes to continue in Tampa Bay.

Now the New York Jets are the only team still winless so far. Next five opponents for NYJ: Buffalo, at Kansas City, New England, (Bye), at Los Angeles Chargers, and Miami.

We have the Kansas City Chiefs at the Buffalo Bills today (both teams 4-1), but also...

Cardinals at Cowboys TONIGHT!

The NFC is in vogue tonight as the city of Dallas, Texas host tonight's Monday Night Football game this week. It is the NFC version of West Meets East as the Arizona Cardinals of the NFC West will meet the Dallas Cowboys of the NFC East. "America's Team" is Dallas. However, "America's Team" has had a mediocre season so far sitting at 2-3 yet leading the NFC East. Arizona hasn't fared too much better at 3-2 and 3rd in the NFC West. Prepare for impact as these two teams tussle tonight!

--- BETTING INFO ---
FAVORED: Dallas (-1)
OVER/UNDER: 55.5 points

Enjoy tonight's action- both in Buffalo and Dallas (Arlington)!

In a recent report, Dallas Cowboys QB Dak Prescott has been put on season-ending injury reserve. Prescott is told to return to full strength by May 2021. So I guess Cowboys Nation will roll with Andy Dalton at QB.

Wow, the Cowboys straight up aren't having a good time. I mean Dalton looks exactly how I thought Dalton would look though.

38-10; Arizona Cardinals defeat Dallas Cowboys in Arlington, TX last night.

With that, let's talk about Week 7 of the 2020 NFL season. Here are some of the games slated for this week (pending no postponement due to COVID-19/Coronavirus):

* NYG Giants at PHI Eagles (THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL)
* CLE Browns at CIN Bengals
* DET Lions at ATL Falcons
* PIT Steelers at TEN Titans <<< both teams 5-0
* GB Packers at HOU Texans
* DAL Cowboys at WAS Football Team
* BUF Bills at NYJ Jets <<< only remaining winless team (0-6)
* CAR Panthers at NO Saints
* JAX Jaguars at LAC Chargers
* TB Buccaneers at LV Raiders (SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL)
* CHI Bears at LAC Rams (MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL)

BYE WEEK TEAMS (WEEK 7): Baltimore, Indianapolis, Miami, and Minnesota

I want to take some time to discuss the Houston Texans' game at the Tennessee Titans. Many people felt the Texans should have kicked an extra point once they got a go-ahead score rather than go for two. The two-point conversion failed. However, considering how inept the Texans were on defense against the Titans, going for two seemed like the right call. The Texans did miss an extra point attempt earlier in the game, but it didn't seem as inconsequential to the Texans eventually failing in Overtime. Also after you get your first win after getting rid of your head coach, you want to make a statement. You certainly want to make a statement over one of your rivals. Was going for two a smart call after a go-ahead score? Probably not. Was it the right call to go for a two-point conversion? Maybe. Tennessee just simply found a way to win and succeeded. So the Texans may either need to produce better on offense or have the defense step up. Maybe both. I otherwise felt the Texans COULD have won the game, as opposed to SHOULD have won the game. It isn't like Houston is Atlanta in the sense of choking games or always falling short.

Other than that, enjoy Week 7!

[UPDATE] NYG at PHI, and CLE at CIN. Changes made.

As a Jet fan, I can watch 0 minutes and not worry about it.

Results in bold. And Gase will somehow still be coach.

If you're Trevor Lawrence do you come back next year for your senior year just to avoid that dumpster fire called the Jets?

If his agent knows any better, he'll force the Jets to fire Gase. Then again, its the Jets, so they'll probably give him a lifetime contract.

If the Jets end up with the number 1 pick and Lawrence is coming out, they will ask him who he wants to be the coach. But it won't be Dabo Swinney. I don't think he would leave Clemson for the NFL.

The Dolphins have named Tua as their starting quarterback when they come off their bye week and face the Rams. That's too soon IMO especially to be facing Aaron Donald. Plus Fitzpatrick has them at 3-3.

I hope Tua does well, but I agree, it's too soon. Then again, I'm not exactly at their practices, maybe he shows he is ready there.

You're underestimating just how bad the Lions can be when they really put their mind to it without already being absolutely terrible.
The Lions have an offense. The Jets have an offensive offense with no competent individual holding the playbook. You are overestimating the ability of the Jets to score points.

I'll take the Jets head coaching gig; can't do much worse, can I?
Since I'm under the impression that current day Vince Lombardi (who has been dead for 50+ years now) is a better coach than Gase, you can't be much worse.

The New York Giants and the Philadelphia Eagles have the honor of kicking off Week 7 of the 2020 NFL Season tonight. Feel free to enjoy this game tonight, should you be following or watching it in some capacity.

[UPDATE] NYG at PHI tonight, not NYG at CLE as previously mentioned.

Whoa, whoa, whoa...I'm all for giving credit where credit is due but calling Matt Patrica a competent individual holding the playbook is offensive to competent individuals. I suppose Darrell Bevell (the OC) is OK and is better than Jim Bob Cooter...well I think a ham sandwich is better than Jim Bob Cooter...but Patrica isn't even fit to be the waterboy on the Lions.

Your team has won 2 games, which is 2 more than the Jets will win this year (unless they try really really hard to win games that could hurt the franchise's future, so they probably will). Want more evidence the Jets are borderline 1976 Tampa Bay Buccaneers bad? The line in next week's (not this Sunday, but November 1st) game vs. the Chiefs is.... 21 points. That would be tied for 8th in the biggest ever NFL spreads. Out of the current 20 point spreads, only the 1976 Pittsburgh Steelers covered a 27 point spread over the Bucs (hello again), winning 42-0.

The Jets offense isn't just bad, it's right now on pace to be in the top (bottom?) 25 all time, avg. 12.5 points a game. The Lions average nearly 10 ppg more.

For shame. Funny though! It wasn't funny last night until Gallman scored the TD.

Will your favorite team win today, fail today, or perhaps tie? Unless your team is on a Bye week or if a game you were looking forward to got postponed for whatever reason, it's time to welcome another Sunday of NFL football. Enjoy the action today and tonight!
