The ZB will never be remembered as the prettiest Supercar but this a great image. I'm assuming one of the Tekno cars was left out of this for symmetries sake.

I wouldn’t be at all surprised if Coca Cola weren’t paying anywhere the amount of a standard primary sponsor. Tekno would want this great big sponsor to take some heat off the up and down off season, and there’s not much bigger than Coke. As soon as Coke was announced the public’s perception was changed and it took all the eyes away from the fact that they had few other sponsors and still hadn’t locked in a second driver. I feel like Coke are fully and genuinely on board, we would’ve seen a lot more involvement from their side.

It’ll be interesting to see how we go from here. I’m not particularly thrilled to see Boost and Adderton back in the sport if I’m honest.

You, me and probably a few hundred thousand other motorsport fans, but if Adderton can keep his big mouth shut and not try to run the whole show I can live with it, just for the sake of an extra car on the grid.

I think it might be a bit harder for him to get away with that sort of behaviour with Jono Webb, and he possibly could have learnt from all the bitterness he generated towards his company and himself last time round.... hopefully.

I don’t think that prick has learnt a god damn thing.

And who’s Jono Webb when compared to a respected veteran of the sport such as Garry Rogers?

I hope they don’t sell a single bit of Boost merchandise.
I certainly wouldn’t be seen dead in it & I pity those that will.

On another note, what price a Supercars REC now?
With all the uncertainty over the future of the category & its direction, I wouldn’t be surprised to see a few more leave at the end of this year.

Webb is very well known to be a hard man to deal with that wants things his way and his way only, and there's a reason why Gary Rogers is well respected... it's because he's not like Jono Webb. ;)

... and REC's were 200K last I heard.

With the things Seamer was saying(not much) on tv tast night, it's going to cost the smaller teams money.

I have doubt GM will support T8. RD said S2 won't be running ZBs. He also mentioned the fact the FG X ran a couple's years after that model ceased to exist. Seems a bit different than a whole brand ceasing to exist, but we'll see.

Noone saw this coming. So, can't really feel pity on the teams and driver's that switched to Holdens. It's just unfortunate.

I still think this would be the time for Kia, Hyundai, Ford, Toyota, strong brands in Australia, to come together and make something of this new opportunity.

Look like S5000 will be the top their category. TCR the newly established touring car category. TCM, TA2 the premiere muscle car categories. How the next Supercar/ATCC fits in, or what it looks like, I don't know.

I had some news pop up on my phone yesterday... Roland Dane is blaming the fans for Holden pulling the plug. Apparently the Holden fans are buying Toyota's (or something like that) to go see races instead of Holden's... And that's why they are gone.

Well done guys, why didn't you all finance yourselves to the hilt to save Holden ?

That's always been the problem. Even in the USA. When Honda, Toyota all were producing small cars, they were seen as death traps. The early cars were rust buckets, but turn out the cars were reliable and economical. GM, Ford and Chrysler just couldn't match the Japanese brands in that segment.

Once quality started becoming better in the Japanese brands, they just blew the big three out of the water. By then, it was too late. Big three tried, with the J-cars(Cavalier, Cimarron, etc), Celebrity, Lancer, Tempo. Those again, couldn't match Camry and Accord.

Her in Australia, it was too late for Holden to match what products came out after such sales dominance. Hyundai's warranty, Toyota servicing, other brand's quality over any Holden, low priced cars, many choices other than a Holden. Hard to battle that.

They did, technically. :P

Boost Mobile: Pulls sponsorship from GRM; say they're no longer interested in Supercars.
Also Boost Mobile: Sponsors James Courtney.

I cannot believe that the brand responsible for taking GRM out of Supercars wants to be seen on the grid again. Garry would be furious, as it indicates that Adderton is an idiot who should keep his mouth shut. Get out of here mate, you don't know what you're on about. You can't just pull sponsorship and then re-instate it with someone else! Why let Garry suffer at the hands of your selfishness? **** off.

TCM Practice shows the Pacer in P1. Does it sound like the Tilley's are running the V8?
Was going for a bit of a wonder while TCM were running so I’m not sure.

Trans Am should just replace the SuperUtes at every round, though. Far more exciting and cars that people can get into. I can see the series getting a lot of support if it were to turn up at more Supercars events.

Lets not forget that Boost essentially ended Tander's full time career because they wanted, a younger "more exciting" driver lineup. Now they are backing the oldest the driver in the field. The whole thing is a gigantic mess.

Looks like they're doing free live streams again for practice. Also noticed they are doing practice highlight videos for Super2.

Some of the cars look much better on the track, actually quite like Mostert's car now. Holdsworth's on the other hand looks awful.

Agreed. Mostert’s car looks a lot better out on track and the gaudy flag design of the Erebus livery isn’t as noticeable as it was in the promo pictures.

Also, like @FPV MIC mentioned on Tuesday, the Erebus cars are noticeably louder than the rest of the field. I remember they came under a bit of strife for that in the past. Wonder if that’ll be an issue again.

Heimgartner’s car looks class on TV. Didn’t think that much of it when they revealed it, but it’s my favourite Mustang in the field.

It’s the awfully bland shade of grey that spoils Holdsworth’s car imo. I actually quite like the simple design with the thin oranges streaks above the logo, but it would look much better if the grey was glossy rather it being as flat and plain as it is.

Funny how Mostert's car looks like a Brock M3. :sly:

I didn't mind Holdsworth's car, but gloss would have been far better 👍. I was also wondering why I didn't like one of the pictures my wife took of his car and after reading your comment I figured it out, it's the flat, plain rear quarter.

I liked this one below with the rear quarter hidden.

...and I agree about Andre's car, it looked great!

No idea what Brodie Kostecki did during the offseason but whatever it is, it's working for him. He appears to be the only one capable of matching Randle this weekend.
