Wolves 0-1 Spurs
Southampton 1-1 Man United
Arsenal 0-2 Chelsea

A Dele Alli penalty in the 9th minute separated Wolves and Spurs, game wasn't on TV so I don't know how it went, some guy named Harry Kane came off the bench for Spurs though, don't know if you guys have heard of him....

Disappointing from United again, a Fred own goal gave Southampton a first half lead after a Adams shot deflected of him, there was a foul on Fernandes in the build up that wasn't given, Greenwood got the United equaliser early in the second half with another assist from Pogba but Southampton were the better team and De Gea made a great save from Armstrong, United were poor and looked like they didn't want to be there at times, Fred and Martial were terrible and I felt Ole got the team selection and tactics wrong.

Lukaku only took 14 minutes to score his first Chelsea goal, Arsenal defending was poor in the build up, Reece James got the second goal and it was 0-2 at HT and that's how it finished, Chelsea were the better team but Arsenal were pretty good in spells, They have got some injury problems right now with Gabriel, White, Partey and Lacazette all missing and Auba coming off the bench, They didn't have enough today.

Nice-Marseille abandoned after a pitch invasion and crowd trouble, Nice fans were pelting Marseille players with objects such as bottles a few times during the game and the one time a bottle hit Dimitri Payet on his back he threw it back into the crowd and then bedlam happened, Pitch invasion and a Nice coach/staff member was seen punching one of the fans, Marseille boss was going beserk.

Match stopped on 76 minutes with the score 1-0 to Nice, after a delay of 90 minutes the game was due to resume but Marseille players refused to leave their dressing room so the ref had no choice but to abandon the game and Nice get a 3-0 win.

Haven't heard the last of this, that's for sure.

Well that was messy. Pretty stupid by the ultras to put Nice in this situation. Defeated the reigning champions Lille 0-4 last week and were leading the riviera derby with about 15 min to go, could’ve been a pretty nice start to the season. Doubting this “desk win” will stay.

You can't be pinpoint in return accuracy but... I'd be lying if I said I was 100% upset with Payet. "Fans" really can get away with far too much at times. Don't give what you can't take.

Sounds like a plan to get 100% home wins, home fans attack the opposition players, force the players off, and then the opposition players are understandably not wanting to continue the game, point to home team. 🙄Shameful. Take the fans out of the ground for awhile, points deduction and huge fine.

I know why Payet should not have thrown anything back into the crowd, but in the heat of the moment I can understand his reaction. An empty plastic bottle coming onto the pitch is one thing, but a full bottle could do a lot of damage. Any team who have 'ultras' as fans seem to have a time bomb waiting to 'go off'.

Interesting comparison between Ole's first 99 game and Klopp's first 99 game.

This is why supporters like me believe it is make or break for Ole. 2 missed opportunities already -- Europa League Final and Southampton away.

West Ham 4-1 Leicester.

Two goals from Antonio who becomes West Ham's top goal-scorer in the Premier League with 49 goals, after his first goal he celebrated with a card-board cut out of himself!, Fornals and Benrahma with the other WHU goals, Leicester had Perez sent off for a stamp which although wasn't intentional definitely was a red, Tielemans with Leicester goal but West Ham go top of the table.

Real Madrid made a bid of £137 million for PSG's Kylian Mbappe on Sunday, PSG have yet to respond to Real's bid.

Mbappe's contract is in its last year, he does want to leave.

Harry Kane released a statement today saying he is staying at Spurs this Summer.

Transfer window closes on Tuesday, lets see what happens if City make another bid for him!

Interpretation - Cit€h are unwilling to pay £150m, Spurs are unwilling to take less than £150m. Nobody else seems interested, so Kane stays. 🙄

I think Kane is unlucky with the timing, and how Covid has affected the market. There was probably an understanding between Kane and Levy as to how he could leave, whether Levy has gone back on any verbal agreements, time will tell.

Obviously he is not leaving 'this Summer', so it all starts again in November/December, especially if either Cit€h or Spurs are doing badly. 🙄

If I were Cit€h, I would be going after Lewandowski, who seems to want a change of scenery. Yes Kane has 5 years on him, but Lewandowski has a much better strike rate, better injury record, and doesn't seem to be slowing down. He already has 3 goals in 2 games so far.

City have now been linked with Ronaldo 🤮

Carabao Cup Third Round Draw.

QPR v Everton
Preston v Cheltenham
Man United v West Ham
Fulham v Leeds
Brentford v Oldham
Watford v Stoke
Chelsea v Aston Villa
Wigan v Sunderland
Norwich v Liverpool
Burnley v Rochdale
Arsenal v AFC Wimbledon
Sheff United v Southampton
Man City v Wycombe
Millwall v Leicester
Wolves v Tottenham
Brighton v Swansea

Some interesting ties there including four all Premier League ones.

Fabrizio Romano says that City haven't made a bit, I know who I want to believe!!

Real Madrid have made an improved offer for Kylian Mbappe of 170 million Euros.

Chelsea are going to be signing Jules Kounde from Sevilla after they agreed a deal with West Ham for them to sign Kurt Zouma for £25 million.

International break after this weekends games, England squad is out for their qualifiers, Bamford gets his first call up, Alexander-Arnold and Lingard back in, no Chilwell or Greenwood.

One random guy on Twitter without a source is not news. Why do people fall for this crap all the time?

Man City left back Ben Mendy has been suspended by the club, he has been charged with rape!

Imagine Messi joins your team and you say nah, I don't wanna play with him.

RM making it seem like they can still hang with the big boys while trying to sweep under the carpet the fact that it only took selling all of their best players and barely buy anyone for three seasons to do it.

And I still don't think they have the money to do it, but that has never stopped them before. Mbappe's fee, and wages on top, will certainly push their accountants to try and make the finances work. 😳 I don't envy anyone working in Real or Barca's accounts department's. So many negative numbers each day! 😳 😆

The fact that he is even considering joining City has sparked such a negative reaction amongst United fans generally. many think it will tarnish his reputation at the club and the fans will turn on him.

I really don't want him to sign for them.

He wouldn't be the first to join City if he does, loads of former United players have in the past.

I'm not sure he really cares about United anymore, it's been 12 years since he left.

I fear the United fans will be rioting in the streets of London, New York, Los Angeles, Sydney, Jeddah, Harare, and even Stockport.
Maybe not Stockport, you find the few existing City fans there who come out for the trophy celebrations but don't know who City beat.

To be honest it doesn't bother me as much as I thought it would. He's desperate to leave Juventus and Juventus are desperate to get rid of him. He was offered to United when he left Real, and his agent has offered him to United again this wondow, both times United said no. PSG had already allocated thier wage budget to Messi so are out of the running.

It isn't about the money for Ronaldo IMO, though he's still going to be on huge money, but he'll be on about half of what he's on at Juve if he goes to City, so if he just wants the money he'll stay at Juve.

The way I see it, if United wanted him, he'd come back to United, but we don't. If other clubs were in for him and he chose City I'd be miffed, but it's City or staying at a club that doesn't want him anyomore that he doesn't want to be at.

I don't want him to sign for City, but it won't make me think he's a traitor or anything like that. From a footballing perspective, it makes sense for Ronaldo but not for City IMO. He won't play the way Pep wanted Aguero to play, he's not mobile enough now to run all over the pitch like he did when we had him. But for Ronaldo he get's to keep palying at the highest level and under Pep for a couple of years.

From a commerical perspective, City will sell a lot of shirts and will likely gain some fans which they need, their fan numbers might even hit double figures 😉.

From what I've heard, he has been offered to City, United and PSG (also RM, but they have declined). City being the most likely because the other two didn't step up for it. PSG would probably make a move if Mbappe left, so if they accept Real Madrid's offer, we might see the dream come true, Ronaldo and Messi in the same team. United fans can only blame their club for not signing Ronaldo, since they were given the chance to do so.

If there are only two clubs who can afford him, how is it his fault if he ends up going to City, if PSG don't sell Mbappe? Is he supposed to end his career? Or cut 90% of his salary to go back to Sporting to win nothing relevant again? Football fans are just childish, it's not like he left Man U to go to City straight away.

I agree, but to be honest I don't blame the Galzers for not going after him. As good as he is, he isn't what we need. We have plenty of goal scorers, but we don't move the ball fast enough through the midfield or create enough chances in tight games IMO. The creating chances will hopefully improve with the likes of Sancho, and with Varane comeing in maybe we can push up higher as a team and get the ball moving forward quicker as a result. But IMO we really need a defensive midfielder who can mop up and make qucik forward passes far more than we need another forward. That'd free up another midflieder to be proper box to box rather than have two holding.

If that means he ends up at City, so be it. But IMO We'd be signing Ronaldo just to stop him going elsewhere rather han because we need him. He's 37 soon, City have offered over £500k per week, if he came to United he'd take free kicks off Bruno, number 7 off Cavani and want to start every match. It could cause disruption in the team, especially when it comes to wages. We've already seen that with Sanchez, I don't think the club wants to do that again. And look at the longer term impact doing deals like this on a regualr basis has had on the likes of Real Madrid and Barcelona. City can ride it financially, I don't think United could.

Don't get me know, the sentimental side of me would have loved to have seen him come back, and I'd have been giddy at the prospect of seeing him back in a United shirt if we had gone for him. But when I think about it logically, I think the time for us to have brought him back where it also made sense on the pitch has long gone.

He's still a great player, but not what we need given what we've got and where our problems currently are.
