Tore everything off in his knee again. His left knee exploded when he played for Georgia too.
Same knee? Thought it was the right one in college. Ouch.

I wish they would've showed the replay, but at the same time I'm glad they didn't. Poor guy. In my FFL I had both Barkley and Chubb last year along with Jefferson, Chase and Hurts as my QB (and still couldn't win it all). I chose to keep Barkley, I guess that was the right move since I could only keep one RB.

It is still far too early to pick teams as contenders or pretenders. It is still far too early to pick teams as getting the highest draft picks. Any team doing great so far can fall apart like a pair of old jeans or a badly-built car. Any team doing horrible can rise up and become contenders (and potential champions). So no matter how your beloved team is doing, there's still a ways to go before we look at the winner of this season's Super Bowl.

Welcome to Week 3! Here are some of the games coming up this week:

* Thursday Night Football will feature the NFC East meeting the NFC West, as Jump_Ace's New York Giants head out to Santa Clara to meet the San Francisco 49ers.

* My Houston Texans will likely get trounced by the presumed-to-win AFC South Jacksonville Jaguars. Hopefully the Texans can keep it close (and maybe win) at "Sacksonville."

* Are the Cleveland Browns for real? The Tennessee Titans will test the the Brownies for sure this week.

* ATL and MoTown go at it in a cats and birds battle. Them Dirty Birds, the Atlanta Falcons, fly up to Detroit to enter the Lions' Den.

* The Denver Broncos are 0-2 on the season so far. Will Win No. 1 for them on the season be had when they visit Omnis' Miami Dolphins in Miami?

* An AFC East battle in the Northeast will happen when Blitz24's New York Jets host the New England Patriots.

* This week's Sunday Night Football will see the Pittsburgh Steelers play at the Las Vegas Raiders. Considering Pittsburgh is 1-1 on the season so far, will this be as close as they'll get to the Super Bowl?

* This week has another pair of Monday Night Football games. First, it's the Philadelphia Eagles meeting the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Tampa Bay. And later, it will be the Los Angeles Rams heading up to the Midwest to meet Dolph Drago's Cincinnati Bengals.

Enjoy this week's games!

His knee was hyperextended and bent over in valgus. So basically he went from I to <. No fun watching a leg fold like a taco.

NFC East meets NFC West tonight to kick off Week 3 of the NFL season. It's the New York Giants at the San Francisco 49ers. Enjoy tonight's game if you'll be watching or following!

Daboll said he wouldn't rule out Barkley for tonight's game. I think that's....a bit unfair and unrealistic. We'll see, but the reports said a couple weeks. I'm expecting we'll get our *** handed to us again, similar to week 1, especially if Barkley is out.

A tale of two hours.

It was 30-12 last night as the San Francisco 49ers hammered the New York Giants. The Niners improve to 3-0 on 2023, and the New York Giants fall to 1-2 on the 2023 season. The San Francisco 49ers will host the Arizona Cardinals next Sunday afternoon. The next opponent for the New York Giants will be hosting the Seattle Seahawks for Monday Night Football next week.

Enjoy Week 3 of NFL football, including the Steelers at Raiders Sunday Night Football game!

Jets game is likely over. Wilson, once again, has no clue what he is doing.

Did the Dolphins hang 70 on the Broncos? I don't know what Russ is cooking but it's not good.

Also, Desmond Ridder is not a good QB. How were the Falcons 2-0 coming into Detroit?

Sean Payton is a scumbag. First throwing Nathaniel Hackett under the bus. Then, today, McDaniel takes the knee on 4th down instead of breaking the scoring record. Instead of also taking a knee and ending the game, Payton calls a run play. Pure scum.

Guess who’s going to the top and bottom of my next round of power rankings?

WIN! The Houston Texans picked up their first win of the 2023 season with a lovely 37-17 victory at Jacksonville. We never trailed in this game against the team presumed to win the AFC South this season. DeMeco Ryans has his first win as a head coach. CJ Stroud woke up along with the leveled-up defense. CJ Stroud went 20 for 30 for 280 yards and two touchdowns. Tank Dell and Nico Collins were money for the Texans' offense. According to ESPN, CJ Stroud is the first QB in history to have over 900 passing yards, four pass touchdowns, and no interceptions in one's first three NFL starts. If we keep playing this consistently this season, the Texans may officially be back on the NFL contender map.

Up next for the Houston Texans... we're hosting the Pittsburgh Steelers next Sunday afternoon.

Elsewhere...

* If I know Omnis like I think I know him, I'm sure he's smiling ear-to-ear considering the Miami Dolphins beating the Denver Broncos like a college team. Miami won 70-20. Usually, that's an NCAA FBS school beating an NCAA FCS or NAIA team. And I know one GTPlaneteer is a Denver Broncos fan and... that GTPlaneteer is likely none too happy about today. Dang, Dolphins...

Congratulations to all other winners on this week! How did your beloved team(s) do?

Oh man those are some sick roasts

Me when I see who the Giants are playing in two weeks

You know, on a lighter note, Miami hanging 70 on a team is only third best to what two other teams did. The record is 73. So that smashing by the Dolphins over the Broncos could have been worse. Still... you feel gutted losing bad by allowing 70+ points in a football game.

Eagles at Buccaneers and Rams at Bengals, both TONIGHT! So I guess Monday Nights are now more than one game rather than just one weekend with two games. Anyhow, here's the setup:

An NFC battle between the NFC East and NFC South will commence in Florida.
* PHI Eagles at TB Buccaneers
FAVORED: PHI (-5.0)
OVER/UNDER: 45 pts.

A rematch of Super Bowl LVI to be played in Cincinnati.
* LAR Rams at CIN Bengals
FAVORED: CIN (-2.0)
OVER/UNDER: 43.5 pts.

Should you be watching or following these games, enjoy tonight's action!

Yeah suddenly 40-0 doesn't seem so bad

We'll be back in February!

At this point, it just feels like the whole thing is one big stunt by the NFL and it's going to be wild when Taylor Swift starts doing Draft Kings commericals.

Results from last night...

* It was 25-11 last night as the Philadelphia Eagles downed the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Tampa Bay.

* The Cincinnati Bengals won 19-16 hosting the Los Angeles Rams. Both teams are now 1-2 on the 2023 season so far.

You know, people are already making their claims and assessments on various teams in the league so far. I even got a Yahoo! Sports E-Mail suggesting some teams are DONE for 2023 after just three weeks. Teams can be trash, but they can also improve to get out of the doldrums. Teams 3-0 may fall apart like a poorly-built house or a badly-built car. So temper your opinions, please.

Anyhow... the National Football League strives to become the best sporting league in all of the United States of America. This week starts the first of the NFL's games played outside of the United States, starting with a game in the United Kingdom. The great city of London, England, UK will see the first of a few games to be played outside of the USA. Back home, though, it's two games in East Rutherford, NJ for Sunday Night and Monday Night. Here are some of this week's matches:

* An NFC north battle happens between rival states, as the Detroit Lions will visit the Frozen Tundra and meet the Green Bay Packers.

* The Atlanta Falcons and Jacksonville Jaguars will clash against each other in London's Wembley Stadium. NFC South vs. AFC South.

* The Houston Texans will return home after scoring their first win of the season and getting praise from several sources. The Texans will host the Pittsburgh Steelers.

* After the Miami Dolphins' epic thrashing of Denver, what will Omnis' Dolphins do for an encore at the Buffalo Bills in an AFC East showdown?

* After the Denver Broncos epically thrashed by Miami, can they get back on track when they visit the Chicago Bears? Stemming from last season, Chicago is on a 13-game losing streak.

* Dolph Drago's Cincinnati Bengals will head on down to Nashville to battle the Tennessee Titans. It's an AFC North meets AFC South collision.

* The Minnesota Vikings will play at the Carolina Panthers in an NFC North meets NFC South match at Carolina's beautiful stadium.

* The Dallas Cowboys will try to regroup after being stunned at Arizona. The New England Patriots will go down to the DFW to oppose the Cowboys.

* The Kansas City Chiefs smashed their most recent opponent. How will things fare when the Chiefs pay a visit to Blitz24's New York Jets for Sunday Night Football? Will there possibly be a Taylor Swift influence? (I am a "Swiftie," guilty as charged)

* Monday Night Football this week is just one game. It will be west-meets-east as the Seattle Seahawks of the NFC West will battle the New York Giants in the shadow of New York City.

There is your setup for this week.

Before I close this post, I wanted to share a few things. Texans' head coach DeMeco Ryans has a mantra of having a SWARM mentality. It stands for "Special Work Ethic and Relentless Mindset." After the Texans' 37-17 win at Jacksonville, I'd say everything was clicking for the Texans in that win. I don't see the Texans making too much noise in 2023, but they will probably be better than the past two or three seasons.

Most people are raving CJ Stroud for finally coming around. The most impactful comment is that the Texans have the "right guy" at QB finally. So I'm sure we won't need Davis Mills to try to turn around the Texans any time soon.

Most of us others, though, are still raving about how our fullback, Andrew Beck, goes from fumbling a kickoff to end up returning a kickoff for a touchdown. He was even shedding off five tackles along the way. At 255 lbs. in weight, A. Beck became the heaviest player in NFL history to return a kickoff for a touchdown.

A lot of text, but there is your hype for this week. Enjoy this week's games!
