I just realized that we get the Bears v. Broncos on Sunday. Talk about a stoppable force meeting a moveable object.
The battle for Caleb Williams.
I think the Broncos play my Jets afterwards and if they can't beat the Zach Wilson Jets , DangeRuss needs to be cut immediately after the game is over. That is the battle of who is the worst Wilson 🤣

Okay here's my version of the hot seat. I am going just include coaches for now.
3. Robert Saleh anybody who says the best thing about your QB is at least this week he didn't turn the ball over. Which makes sense when you give him a play to lose gameplan. At least the defense played well which is more than I can say for my No. 2. Matt Eberflus You a QB who called out coaching and gameplans, a defensive coordinator who had to resign due to some shady stuff. The worst defense when you cut your bones on def it's a bad look. Instead of getting better Justin Fields looks worst. Right now he is more talented slightly taller version of Zach Wilson.
1. Brandon Stanley How does this dude still have a job. Any coach that loses a playoff where got 4 turnovers in the first half should not have a job. But the Chargers owners are cheap. This guy goes for it on 4th down from like his own 20 or 30 up 3 or 4 with two minutes left. Absolutely one of the dumbest calls in history. This is coming from a lifelong Jets fans so I have seen bad plays so I consider myself a bad team expert🤣 Anyway he got bailed out by his defense but he still needs to go. Feel free to disagree because these are my personal opinions and what I have observed this year

It's Lions at Packers tonight for Thursday Night Football. You ready for tonight? Enjoy tonight's game if you'll be watching and/or following!

Man, the refs are terrible. How do you allow a play when the clock hits 0:00. I get that flags are up to interpretation, but the clock is the clock. Also, while I don't mind the penalty on Quay Walker during the FG, it took you that long to decide it was a flag? The Lions were already lined up for a kick-off.

But ya, I don't think Jordan Love is the third HoF QB for the Packers. The Jets are going to love him in like 15 years though, at least until his Achilles explodes or he gets indicted on welfare fraud.

Falcons vs. Jaguars is on right now in London. As for the rest of us, enjoy all of the NFL games today here in the United States!

If you have ESPN+ it's worth checking out the Toy Story broadcast too. My son loves it and it's well done.

The Bears are sure something. Also, Burrow got the bag and then decided he just didn't want to be good any more, didn't he?

Jesus, the Dolphins defense is a joke. It’s like they forgot how to hit people. Credit to Dorsey though. His game plan totally dominated Fangio’s and the fins just had no answer. Would’ve been a close game still without the turnovers. Achane is awesome, but missing two starting OLs is going to kill us going forward.

I don't know what got in the Houston Texans of late... but I LOVE it! We ended up smashing the Pittsburgh Steelers 30-6 here in Houston. It was on the day we welcomed JJ Watt to the Houston Texans' Ring of Honor. The Texans battled hard, and not just because we wore our Battle Red colors and our alternative red helmets. Also, it's our first win at home since not winning any home games last season. When I poked around on the Steelers' Facebook fan page, the majority of comments on the game was "#FireCanada," as in Pittsburgh fans wanting PIT offensive coordinator Matt Canada fired.

Up next for the Houston Texans... we're at the Atlanta Falcons next Sunday afternoon. It's a little Southern football as Houston will meet them Dirty Birds from the ATL.

Before I close this post, I want to pur something into perspective. CJ Stroud has the most pass attempts with no interceptions ever in NFL history. Here is the Top 5:

--- MOST PASS ATTEMPTS WITHOUT AN INTERCEPTION TO START NFL CAREER ---

* CJ Stroud - 151
  • Warren Moon - 103
  • Carson Wentz and Case Keenum - 102 (each)
  • Tom Brady - 101

Since our record isn't impressive, I am not fully sold on my Texans yet, but the way we played for two straight games is exciting. Loving it!

Congratulations to all other winners from this week! How did your boys do this week?

[UPDATE] Matt Canada is the Offensive Coordinator for PIT, not the coach. Changes made.

I didn't get to see the Cincy game. Sounds like that was a good thing. And now I'm reading that Higgins fractured a rib. Great.

I would love to have CJ Stroud on the Jets. Even if the Texans fall off at least you guys have found your QB. That is more than I can say for the Jets. Maybe Rodgers will come back but Wilson to me is only slightly better than Christian Hackenburg

This power rankings business is too hard. What the heck. Is this what parity looks like?

Well, one team out of 32 should be easy for your Power Rankings. Chicago will probably likely be dead last, after I read Denver came back from being down by 21 to win. Unless someone did much worse than Chicago.

If I did my own Power Rankings, I say my Houston Texans have to at least be in the top 50% of the rankings, maybe even top 25% for this week. The Texans are still rebuilding, but they are playing like they're back among the contenders. Wins at Jacksonville and against Pittsburgh so far. Texans lost at Baltimore and to Indianapolis so far. Hopefully the rebuild won't take so long for the Texans. A realistic longshot is that we win an AFC Wild Card berth. Total longshot for us would be winning the AFC South.

What the ever loving hell is this?

After seeing the completely bogus penalty against the Jets that allowed the Chiefs to win, the NFL is absolutely influencing games. The Chiefs have been treated with kid gloves for several season now and with Travis Kelce's new girlfriend, it's even worse. If they're still together, the Chiefs will win the Super Bowl and Swift will almost certainly have a surprise appearance with Ooooshur.

That 'penalty' was one of the worst I've ever seen. Totally bogus. The announcers even said they've been letting them 'play' all day. 🙄

I am a big Taylor Swift fan (a "Swiftie") myself, but if there is influence to impact NFL games based on her presence, that's pretty cringe-worthy stuff. I think media sometimes is a bit too crazy over Taylor Swift. Either way, it was 23-20 last night with Kansas City defeating the New York Jets.

Seahawks at Giants TONIGHT!

NFC West meets NFC East in the shadow of New York City.

  • SEA Seahawks at NYG Giants
  • FAVORED: SEA (-2.0)
  • OVER/UNDER: 47 points

Enjoy this game if you'll be watching and/or following! That's even if you have some players in your Fantasy Team or something.

We're gonna get d**k-stomped by the Seahawks tonight with no Barkley and no starting left tackle Thomas 😭

Texans getting the W
JJ being entered into the ring of honor
CJ showing again he is on his way to being the 'one' for the Texans

Its been tough supporting this franchise these past few years since the KC debacle with on and off field issues. But finally I have hope and long may it continue.

I preferred this one.

It's ok. The Browns offloaded all that karma for you when they signed your sexual predator ex-QB. Stroud is a good kid and Demeco Ryans is pure class.

It was an unhappy Monday Night for Giants fans as the New York Giants fell to the visiting Seattle Seahawks 24-3.

Let's look at the standings so far this season. Find your favorite team(s):

(Source: ESPN)

--- Standings Update (as of: October 3, 2023) ---
AFC EAST: Buffalo and Miami (3-1 each), NE and NYJ (1-3 each)
AFC NORTH: Baltimore (3-1), PIT and CLE (2-2 each), CIN (1-3)
AFC SOUTH: IND, HOU, JAX, and TEN (2-2 each)
AFC WEST: Kansas City (3-1), LAC (2-2), LV and DEN (1-3 each)

NFC EAST: Philadelphia (4-0), DAL (3-1), WAS (2-2), NYG (1-3)
NFC NORTH: Detroit (3-1), GB (2-2), MIN (1-3), CHI (0-4)
NFC SOUTH: Tampa Bay (3-1), ATL and NO (2-2), CAR (0-4)
NFC WEST: San Francisco (4-0), SEA (3-1), LAR (2-2), ARI (1-3)

Yes. ALL four AFC South teams are tied with each other. The NFC is the only league with unbeaten teams; and also, they have the only winless teams so far this season. There is still a long way to go. So let's not predict who will make the playoffs or get the No. 1 overall draft pick yet.

Let me share some of this week's matches now:

* The Chicago Bears went from crusing to a 28-7 lead to falling apart and losing 31-28. The Bears will try to win their first game of the season when they visit the Washington Commanders. Chicago is also trying to avert their 14 or so game losing streak.

* The Jacksonville Jaguars played in London last week. They're back at it in jolly London as they face the Buffalo Bills.

* My Houston Texans will go to the ATL to play with some Dirty Birds. Texans and Falcons will clash in Atlanta. Can Houston win three in a row?

* Cat Bowl! It's Joey D's Detroit Lions hosting the Carolina Panthers, who are seeking their first win of the season.

* After a crushing loss against Seattle, Jump Ace's New York Giants will venture down the Atlantic coastline to play at Omnis' Miami Dolphins in an NFC East meets AFC East battle. Got to love inner-forum rivalries, eh?

* Dolph Drago's Cincinnati Bengals have struggled so far this season. Maybe a victory at the Arizona Cardinals can turn frowns upside down for Bengals' Nation...

* Blitz24's New York Jets will travel a Mile High to meet the Denver Broncos, who are fresh off of coming back from 21 points down at lowly Chicago last week.

* This week's Sunday Night Football game involves an NFC East meets NFC West showdown, as the Dallas Cowboys tangle with the San Francisco 49ers. Can Dallas hand the Niners their first loss of 2023?

* This week's Monday Night Football game is at the site of Super Bowl LVIII. It's the Las Vegas Raiders hosting the Green Bay Packers.

I had some other content I wanted to share, but I'll leave it here for now. Enjoy this week's games!

Today is Houston Texans' QB, C.J. Stroud's birthday. Happy 22nd birthday, CJ Stroud!

I meant to offer an assessment in my previous post. I invite all of you to assess your teams when you like. These are simply thoughts of yours on your favorite team and how they are doing so far and what's ahead. Here is my assessment.

The 2023 Houston Texans are 2-2 on the season, in a four-way tie for the AFC South. The Texans are buying into new coach DeMeco Ryans' SWARM (Special Work Ethic and Relentless Mindset) mindset. They have a "shock the world" mentality. It didn't work at Baltimore or against Indianapolis, but it worked beautifully at Jacksonville and against Pittsburgh. I want to believe the Texans just had a slow start and may somehow they got it together. Despite the Texans' recent string of success, they still are rebuilding. At best, I have the Texans in 2023 to have at least seven wins, which is about the total wins of 2021 and 2022. I see them as an AFC Wild Card team at best. MAYBE they win the AFC South.

CJ Stroud has the most pass attempts from a rookie without an interception in NFL history, and it isn't even close. The one in second-place all time should be familiar with Houston Oilers fans- Warren Moon. Tank Dell and Nico Collins are two dudes I really like for their offensive production. Robert Woods has been a very good player as well. What stuns me about the wins at JAX and vs. PIT is that the banged-up offensive line managed to make sure Stroud doesn't get sacked. It's either good awareness by Stroud or the O-line actually holding up for once. DeMeco Ryans, though, is a defensive guy. This is the fiercest Texans defense I've seen since JJ Watt was no longer a Texan. I think D. Ryans' defensive mindset trickled down to the team's defense nicely. That defense will keep the Texans in games. However, they do need to improve their pass defense a bit and stop the run better (it is improving). As for special teams, no complaints on punts or field goal kicks.

In conclusion, the 2023 Houston Texans should actually be a team to feel good about and root for. If they keep up this run of success and build upon it, this could be a special season in H-Town. It may also be special for the next few seasons if it holds up.

So that's my assessment of the Houston Texans. If you would like to assess your favorite team(s), please do so. Let us know how your beloved team(s) are doing and how you feel about them.

If they're still together, the Chiefs will win the Super Bowl and Swift will almost certainly have a surprise appearance with Ooooshur.
It's sad to see the Chief fans argue against either situation (the Johnson hold that was not called on the 3rd and 22 Mahomes scramble where the flag was called on CJ Mosley downfield for illegal contact or the Gardner hold that negated the interception) and say that the refs jobbed them earlier about the safety. The refs have one job and that is to call a game fairly and NOT determine the outcome of the game if they can help it. I actually think the Johnson non-hold was worse because the Gardner penalty was initially called on #11, who is Johnson (making me think the ref changed his mind about the hold and just threw the Mosley penalty to "save grace").

The one good thing about the Jets game is Zach Wilson looked like a functional QB. The Jets OC actually crafted a gameplan that allowed Wilson to be comfortable getting him on the move using play action passes etc.. Then he stopped doing that in the 2nd half. Also they didn't get Bryce Hall the ball enough. Dalvin Cook is washed. If the Jets are going to have any success Hackett is going to have gameplan around what Wilson can do well and give Hall more touches

I guarantee you the Jets would be undefeated with Rodgers under center. Zach still needs a few years. Saleh is still doing a hell of a job. Just look what they did with Mike White last year.
