Seven, count 'em- seventh week of NFL Football is here! Let's go through the games coming up this week. The Sunday Night and Monday Night games involve the last two previously unbeaten teams:
* The week will be started as South teams meet. AFC South's Jacksonville Jaguars will head down to the Big Easy for a tough test against the New Orleans Saints of the NFC South for Thursday Night Football.
* The Las Vegas Raiders will get some Midwestern hospitality as they travel to the Chicago Bears.
* After un-undefeating the San Francisco 49ers, the Cleveland Browns will mix things up at the Indianapolis Colts.
* Jump Ace's New York Giants will try to take command of the visiting Washington Commanders.
* Joey D's Detroit Lions have been ballin' this season, but can they take down the equally ballin' Baltimore Ravens in Baltimore (or "B-More")? NFC North meets AFC North in this one, not to mention both teams leading their respective divisions.
* Birds of different feathers will clash in Seattle as an NFC West battle ensues between the Arizona Cardinals and the Seattle Seahawks.
* The Green Bay Packers will face a Mile High test when they go to Denver to meet the Denver Broncos.
* Omnis' Miami Dolphins are ready for prime time! Or will they be, when the Miami boys go up the Atlantic coastline to play at the previously undefeated Philadelphia Eagles?
* Monday Night Football this week is in Minneapolis as the Minnesota Vikings will host the recently un-unbeaten San Francisco 49ers.
BYE WEEK TEAMS (Wk. 7): Cincinnati, Dallas, Tennessee, New York Jets, Carolina, and Houston
Since my Texans are off this week, I won't be talking about how we did this week because... we're not playing this week. I may just check in and talk about other games that happened.
Speaking of the Houston Texans, I read an article suggesting that Texans fans are praising former coach, Lovie Smith, for the coaching Houston to a win at the Indianapolis Colts, giving Chicago the No. 1 overall draft pick. This has resulted in CJ Stroud becoming a better talent so far than most of the other rookie QBs drafted this season. I personally loathe the idea of, "I want my favorite pro sports team to lose just so they can get a high draft pick." I don't want to do that, the teams and players themselves don't to hear that, play to lose, or anything like that. I'm still glad the Texans are doing better so far in 2023 than they have all of last season or even the past two or three seasons.
I may check back into this thread to offer an assessment. Otherwise, enjoy this week's games!
