Not sure why people think Waltrip is stupid really. He seems less annoying than in his Nascar interviews from the past. He has a general idea of the car and makes sense on how it was running.

Definitely. Him saying that a Daytona 500 win, which he has 2 of, is a bigger accomplishment than winning the Le Mans 24hr got me heated.

That's ridiculous. It's like the Indy 500 pre-show claiming it was the greatest race in the world. This on the same day as the Monaco Grand Prix.

Edit:

And to keep on topic, come on Peugeot... Although I would prefer the Wurz, Davidson, Gene combo to be leading.

Getting some shots of the Lola in the feed. It sounds amazing...it just screams.

What ever happened to the Oreca Matmut? It's dropped to 7th behind the Pesky's and the Rebellion Lola.

And the Kronos Racing is close to it as well.

And the LMP2 car is out as well...and it was leading when I left last night...

Le Mans has the best drivers in the world. SpeedTV can interview someone else instead of Waltrip 4 times. What's wrong with not liking that or not liking him? I like and respect NASCAR drivers but he's too out of place here.

That's not exactly what he said he said that it is slighty more important. Give the guy slack he has never done Lemans and it's a new extreme for him I'm sure after this weekend he'll have a better understanding of it and want to win. He's a nascar guy so of course he thinks it's better. Just like an F1 driver would think Monaco is more important.

He's a NASCAR driver, has been for a long long time. Of course he's going to say the Daytona 500 is more important to him. What difference does it make?

Anyone getting mad over Waltrip's comment is being way too serious. Waltrip tends to joke abit so that Daytona 500 comment shouldn't be taken as serious as you guys are making it out to be.

I'm not saying you shouldn't hate him, I'm saying that calling him an idiot for a comment that I doubt was even serious is abit overboard. SpeedTV interviewed him four times because its a Nascar driver in the 24 Hours Of Le Mans and there is the possibilty that NACAR fans might actually be watching this race, though I do agree four is abit overboard.

As for the "best drivers in the world" comment, I quite honestly find that the most overused phase in racing. People say that about WRC drivers, F1 drivers and every other form of racing.

Oreca Matmut 908? Tire punctures and a spin out.

Oreca Matmut LMP2? Retired, apparently overheated.

NOOOOO a Vette involved in huge crash with a Felbermayr Porsche at Ford Chicaine. :(

It's the #74 car, safety car out.

What in the world happened?!

Looks like it got together with the Porsche. 77?

It looked weird. He had enough room but the 74 shot right into the side of the Porsche in the middle o the turn.
