Yeah, have you seen the DeltaWing? It's a pretty radical design. The whole thing relies on under-car aero to generate grip.

Underfloor aero isnt a new technology tho, F1 has had it for years....(not to mention sportscars). Radical design? Yes, but so is a road going F1/Indycar that can seat 2 and weigh under 500kg....

Caparo T1 isn't that impressive when it when it's no faster than other cheaper roadcars.

Qualifying starts in about half an hour time from now... Hoping to see some improvements to the AMR-One Aston and the BMWs maintain their good performance.

Quali night sessions serve two purposes. First, they allow drivers to get used to night driving.

Second, this is in fact mandatory, they (all of them) must do at least 3 laps in night sessions or else they won't be able to take part in the race.

Sometimes the grid is set at night, if it rains in morning or afternoon sessions.

Thanks.

Now I'm off to find a stream. I can't find the page SpeedTV has dedicated to Le Mans.

Wait a minute, are they now taking the Mazda 787B out on track? Patrick Dempsey is going to drive it as I was informed....

Yes, I think it was before the afternoon quali session.

Herbert will also drive the car (tomorrow I think) but I don't know at what time.

I just read it's coming out on track aswell, but what happened to Johnny Herbert driving it?

Its starting now on the eurosport le mans channel online, because of the tennis on the main channels. No commentary atm

Green flag and it seems like the #60 Aston has been repaired but now have some problem with the gearbox. They may have to change it... Still no news on the #76 IMSA Porsche.

EDIT: #76 is coming out...

If these sessions are truly representative of what's going to happen in the race, I'd say we are going to watch a thrilling 24 hour long battle between the two squads!

How's the GTE Pro class doing? I'm using an iPad that can't use the timing screen...

EDIT: Worse luck for the #009 Aston. A spin and damaged the bodywork.

Thanks Hun, perhaps you could do a little update on the standing each half an hour :P

Can't find the apps, or perhaps it doesn't even exist.

Who are the EuroSport commentators? I like them. That little rant they did on the safety car was priceless.

One of them is Martin Haven. He's also the same person who commentate for the FIA WTCC and some other motorsport events in Eurosport. I'm not sure about the other guy though.

Radio Le Mans says there was a fire at the rear right brake of the #009 Aston. The fire marshall can't get the fire extnguisher pin out!
