Hasn't broken a sweat since that scare a couple of months back.

Is there a new BIOS out? I need to check.

EDIT: Yep. 1616. Gonna have to flash later on tonight.

Looks like the last Bios was on 10/18/2012, v1616.

Good to hear. I will have my Maximus Formula mobo back soon and need to decide if I should swap boards out or just keep the Sabertooth. Still not sure yet. :)

8932 with my new system - 3570K @ 4.3, Gigabyte 670 with a +60 core/+150 mem overclock. Nice improvement over the 4470 my old i5-750/CF5770 setup scored :)

Surprised Gabkicks scored higher than I did, guess that shows the power of hyperthreading which Bloomfield has and Ivy Bridge i5s don't!

Nice single GPU run you got there! A little more tweaking and you should be able to hit 10k.

Good luck!

Probably could've hit 10k using older nv drivers, for some reason I can't get anywhere near as good an overclock on the last few recent drivers as I could on 302 :|

Will have no trouble hitting 10k when I eventually SLI though

Hmm I wonder if catalyst 12.11 will give me the little boost needed for 10k?
I have a feeling it may be my crappy generic ram holding me back a bit though.

Cheers Shaun.

Yep, two 7850's.
I'll have a play around with them when I get the chance.

Cheers Shaun.

Nice run! Would like to see the link to the run though... :)

I would agree Shaun. With a little attention, you should be able to hit 10k pretty easy. I would look at CPU/Ram overclocks to tip you over.

I saw a mod here on Gtplanet break 16k on a run. ;)

I'm surprised you're not hitting 10k already.....

Well I did put it together myself.
I'm very much going through a learning process with PC's.

My latest run here, was a little while ago and I haven't had the chance again recently to play around any more. As you will see the CPU was overclocked also.
I haven't touched the ram, tbh I wouldn't know where to start.

Also do you think the bios would have any bearing in the results?
I know there are quite a few later versions than the one I'm running. Flashing the bios does make me somewhat nervous tbh.

Cheers Shaun.

Sometimes you can have performance gains on the bios updates. Just depends on what was updated.

Great first post farfigneugan and welcome to GTPlanet! Also, welcome to the 10k club!

10263 :D

I had to go into town today to get a couple of microswitches for my G25.
Convienently my local PC shop is a few doors up :sly:. Finally got around to getting some 1600mhz ram to replace the generic stuff I had.

Edit: Nice one farfigneugan 👍.

Cheers Shaun.

AWESOME SHAUN!!!! I knew you could do it! Another welcome to the 10k club.

So the ram took you over the edge? Nice! Other than a 5 digit score, do you notice any differences when using the computer?

It seems the ram tipped me over the edge, I ran a test before installing it with the same settings and got around 9800.
As for whether I've noticed a difference otherwise, it's hard to tell. Some applications seem a little snappier but that could be the placebo effect.

Besides my son needed some more ram so he's inherited my old stuff.

Cheers Shaun.

Very nice! I say a good upgrade is whenever you can blame it on some else. :) (after a few years, my wife finally caught on....)

I would love to break 17k, but I'm afraid that new ram won't take me there. Maybe some LN2 would get me there. :D

I know what you mean mate. I can see how this PC business can become addictive to some.

Go for it.
LN2? Liquid Nitrogen?

Made me wonder what the all time record is, I found this.

Also do you think it would be worthwhile editing the leaderboard in the OP to see how us mere mortals are going? Just a thought, makes it easier than going through the whole thread that's all.

Cheers Shaun.

Yes, Liquid Nitrogen. :mad_scientist_smiley:

That score is down right sickening. Look at his clocks... 5.8ghz on the processor with 6 cores and hyper-threading, 2600mhz on his ram, x4 680 for graphics and probably just a little bit of magic!

Updating the leader board is a great idea. I'll ask Casio if he's motivated in updating it. Might be good to have a single GPU leader board and a multi-GPU leader board.

Here is a link to my score. I had to bump up the GPUs a little to break 10k. I know I was in the 12s at one time, but I can't find those screen shots, and am in no way wanting to get started on the road to a decent OC again.

Great work Brad. 👍
I see your penchant for colours has come out again.

Cheers Shaun.
